2181  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Petition] To rename bitcointalk.org to frankbitcointalk.org on: November 10, 2018, 06:24:05 PM
Now suddenly I'm under attack for releasing new art.

So just because you're under attack gives you the right to spam this subforum ?
The fact you went silent for some time is a lame excuse to justify your posting spree.

Make one thread to list them all, keep it updated, and then you'll be free to spam it as much as you want !
Yes, it involves some work, but the benefits are that it doesn't piss off people. Which is generally a good thing, for a brand.

If the mods or admins have any issue with my posts, I'd be happy to facilitie their requests.  Just a note.  Smiley

Yep, piss off potential customers. You're a genius salesman.
On a side note, your latest posts breaks the forum rules.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.
2182  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Petition] To rename bitcointalk.org to frankbitcointalk.org on: November 10, 2018, 06:16:08 PM
True that, given the quantity of threads created by frankbitcoin, it would be wise to make one big thread listing all his creations. Smiley
This has been suggested in some other similar cases, and ended up working well when applied.

This is not your storefront, it is a subforum for Collectibles enthusiasts to trade and pass on information.
You are now achieving flora levels.
Learn some forum etiquette or take your spam to Goods

Agreed 100%

Ah, brand recognition is good, for sure!  Smiley
Nothing wrong with posting for sale posts on here.

Well, isn't that wrong when ~25% of the threads on the 1st page in Collectibles have been posted by you to advertise your creations, within a very short time span ?
2183  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Mintage of all BTCC Mint products (2015-2018) on: November 10, 2018, 11:06:45 AM
Thanks for all the addresses, Bobby !
Since the quantity of BTCC coins is now finite (no new releases), it is interesting to see how much remains intact. Cool

I'll make a tracker when I will have a moment.

EDIT :

Would that be possible to share the whole of the addresses embedded in BTCC mint products ?
Every coin, chip, ever produced.

No need to copy/paste that, any kind of raw file having the association between #serials and BTC addresses will do.

2185  Economy / Services / Re: [ESCROW] 🌠 yogg's escrow service ⭐ BTC & Alts ⭐ Fast ⭐ Reliable ⭐ Secure 🌠 on: November 09, 2018, 09:13:19 AM
Hey,

I am trying to sell 37 BTC to a trader. I want to make sure that I won't be scammed. He offered an escrow service that just didn't seem right to me (website started up only 8 weeks ago, no reviews, no proper info).

I am willing to pay the fee for the added security.

Would you be interested in this transaction?

Best regards,

W.

Hello W,

Yes, I can help you here.
You were right to reject the suspicious escrow website that claims to hold onto your coins for you.

Can you please tell me the buyer's username, so I can setup the transaction ?
More details will be explained within the PMs I'll be sending to both of you, and in the mean time, if you have any question, feel free to ask. Smiley
You can chose if you want to publicly disclose some of the transaction details, or keep it private.

Best regards,
yogg
2186  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: November 09, 2018, 01:46:36 AM
But that has nothing to do with the question of the actual act of taxation being theft or not.

Yes, it has a lot to do.
Well, legally taxation is not classified as theft, obviously.

However, the need to always repay more to serve the debt is a reason for the government to rack even more taxes in, etc.
And they have to make it, otherwise it's "default" and game over. Really ?
Maybe this is not the case in the USA, but in France, debt interest repayments match ~100% of the income tax income for the govt.

And we fire nurses and close down hospitals ? There is a protest soon against the recent tax surges on gas and fuel.
More and more people are on brink of bankruptcy, cannot make ends meet, but we pay more and more just as an interest.
That's insane.

Cut the leeches, pay taxes to fund the national services etc, but please do not use our democracies to transfer wealth massively from population to a few pockets.
2187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to see for Bitcoin - A stable or a volatile market? on: November 09, 2018, 01:10:32 AM
By nature, bitcoin will always be more or less stable, and more or less volatile.
However as time goes by, it should tend to decrease in volatility while it increases in value. So more stable but always a little bit volatile.
2188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin allowed to continue? on: November 09, 2018, 12:36:02 AM
I have been thinking a lot lately about why the central bankers are allowing Bitcoin to continue with only minor resistance.

Central bankers aren't "allowing" Bitcoin, Bitcoin is permissionless

in the future, maybe central bankers and government can allow bitcoin and maybe they will makes bitcoin legally and can be used by all people in the world,

They can't allow it like they can't forbid it. Nobody can forbid bitcoin, really.
Govt can make laws that punishes the use of crypto, but that is a totalitarian regime.
2189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help with Mlycelium cancellations on: November 09, 2018, 12:16:13 AM
So I transferred some money from Mycelium to another wallet (unconfirmed at time of cancellation), but being impatient and it says it would only be deleted from the app if already confirmed. However, it also said that if not confirmed, I would have to sync it to be able to use the funds again. So my questions are:

1. How do I sync my mycelium wallet

2. Will it still transfer to the other wallet if I don't do anything?

Would appreciate any help somewhat new to crypto. Thanks

1. Hmm .. I'm not sure, but it should be synced automatically. Just close and reopen ?

2. Yes, it will most certainly arrive to the other wallet. Sometimes, the transaction may take time to be included in the bitcoin blockchain (which means they're confirmed).

You should try to check the transaction id (txid) in a blockchain explorer like https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC to see if the rest of the network has heard your transaction.
2190  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could cryptocurrencies eliminate the root cause of war? on: November 09, 2018, 12:05:51 AM
cryptocurrencies have nothing to do with peace keeping or things like that, war could arise because of greed or politicians trying to cling on to power!

On the contrary. Both sides of wars have been funded by the same people, at least for the last ones.
Do you know who was the NSDAP & Hitler's banker ? Prescott Bush. Georges Bush "senior" father, Georges "W" Bush grandfather.  Roll Eyes

Research the "Union Bank Corporation". They were closed for breaking the "Trading with the Enemy Act". Yup. Bush.

I think that the less leverage these people have, the better the world will be.
With bitcoin, you can't make money out of thin air in order to fund both sides of conflicts and, ultimately, to serve your interest.
2191  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] ☞ BITCOIN ART ☜ on: November 08, 2018, 11:52:23 PM
I can confirm I bought a numbered copy of this print from crayonsmell on etsy earlier this year, from the stated etsy account.
He has already advertised on the forum. It's not a scam, and I like his art. Smiley

The trays of blocks and coins left behind by the space otter are neat.  Grin
2192  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Modern society is a human farm on: November 08, 2018, 11:47:56 PM
We wouldn't have such a population without the innovations in technology and industrial revolution., and without oil too.
Unfortunately today's society promotes consumerism, made necessary to sustain the financial and economics systems. This doesn't help.

Every specie will grow and rise in population if it has all the needs are met. This is what is happening.
So it's either that, or a totalitarian system to have strict birth control. Or a two-sided society : the "legit" one and the renegades that give birth outside.
2193  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: November 08, 2018, 10:44:18 PM
This graphic says it all but the logic mostly generated by the capitalists class who are the ones "stealing" the surplus value in the first place.
edit* trying to make this smaller

Nice try. This one seems more accurate to me in that way :

Where does the money go ? To repay an out of control debt, never ending, always growing, debt.
Taxation is a necessary thing, but in it's current form it's a sentence against the global population.
2194  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: escrowyourcoins.com - trustworthy? on: November 08, 2018, 09:41:53 PM
If I wanted to sell a larger amount of BTC (e.g. 35) , what would be the best way?

Would an escrow service offer the required security?

Best regards,

W.

Very honestly, the best security you can have for your funds while transacting is by using one of the trusted escrows on Bitcointalk.
Why go on an unknown and fishy escrow website ?

There is a list of recommended bitcointalk escrow services : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
2195  Economy / Lending / Re: Sincerely need a small BTC Loan for 0.016 IMMEDIATELY! :( on: November 08, 2018, 09:15:32 PM
I have a new laptop just bought last week. Google Chrome. I can do that!?
Just take your laptop to a pawn shop and pawn it.

You will have money way faster, without the hassle of sending your hardware to someone, by going to a pawn shop.
If you don't have something that is easily transferable, and that can be sold easily to recover the loan amount, you won't get a satoshi from here.

Tongue

Woops, my intent was never to cheat.
I didn't read the rules with much scrutiny so I probably missed that "only original content" thing, otherwise I'd open up paint and some meme generator to explain these ideas.  Undecided

I still think my pics are great to explain bitcoin to someone as if they were like 5. Tongue

Sorry if my submissions broke the contest rules. It's more than fair to have me disqualified, these are the rules. I'll pay more attention next time ...
Congrats to the winners !  Cool
