the difference with bitcoin is obvious! it is the centralization of Tether. it is owned by Bitfinex parent company and is 100% controlled by them. and that means it is highly risky to use it let alone to store it for long term.
on top of all that, this company has always been shady about Tether. they assure you that it is backed by dollar with 1:1 ration but they have never been able to provide any proof or guarantee nor were they ever properly audited. they always evade it!
They have rights to issues as many Tether USD as they want (if we assume that they don't really have dollars back for Tether USD at the ratio 1:1 as they claimed to do). There are many FUDs on this (but I thing they are rights) and manipulated the market with bad news relate to Tether USD and Bitfinex times to times. No one knows the severity of this issue, but I believe there are issues with Tether USD.

as for market cap, that is the problem nowadays with people, they think just because a website called coinmarketcap.com ranks a coin on top then it must be good or safe to use! they should really stop doing that and start looking into altcoins from perspectives that matter like the things i mentioned above. market cap is meaningless.
In fast changing market like crypto, market cap does not make any sense. Price can skyrocket and lift total market cap up and in contrast, when price flash dumps we will see marketcap drops quickly.

There is another thing, premined, instamined coins/ tokens and hold by their teams. Those amount of coins/ tokens should be excludd from marketcap.

For sure you need to present us with more detailed proof.
The above 'report' doesn't provide any data except that both users are not in same household!
Did you requested KYC on both customers?
I see two IP addresses that probably belong to the same household:
107.77.204.49
107.77.204.41
I don't know the first IP address (107.77.204.49) belongs to which account/ user. I guess two accounts both connected through that IP address. Only FJ can confirm it is right or wrong.
5463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 22, 2020, 03:03:11 AM
On current form Tottenham are not in a bad position at all. They have picked up the second highest number of points in the league (since Jose Mourinho took over). Only lower than Liverpool within that time frame.
In reality, it is an impressive come back from scratch of Tottenham, after the J.Mourinho-take-over from M. Pochettino). Before the appearance of Mr. Special One, Tottenham fans did not expect they will end the season in the position that is qualified for the European League next season, if they honestly admit.
Quote
Also, regardless of their poor start to the season, they are only one point below Chelsea and would be in a champions league spot as it stands now. That's not a poor form at all.
Chelsea will have a tough match not only comes from their bad forms recent weeks but also comes from the tightly traditional match from Mou's team.
Quote
I'm expecting a tough derby match. And lots of goals.
Not many goals, I expect. Tottenham will get a draw or win with a single score, from a defender, or from L.Moura with his excellent pace, maybe.

All you have to do is enter you address in a good blockchain explorer like blockchair.com
Blockchair.com explorer has its good feature to use when you want to track your transaction details: confirmed or not yet confirmed; which transaction fee is set by senders; which type of transaction is made by senders (RBF or not); and in case transaction fee is set at very low amount, you will see your transaction's priority order.

Clicking on "Click to see more" on the Technical details area to see.

Right now Juventus 57 Lazio 56 and Inter 54 Inter drop to third after losing game against Lazio in last round. in next round these positions will be on as these 3 have easy matches.
Having matches with weak teams does not guarentee that Juventus, Inter Milan, and SSC Lazio will win these three matches all. It is football and there are always odds to see amazing results in football. If I peak only one team among them that will end these coming matches with surprising results for us, I choose Inter Milan. Their attacking system seems to work not so well and it might be their troubles and consequent bad results (a draw, maybe).
Yes. The position seems to not change in the next match since those teams will face weak teams. Regarding Inter defeat, I think Inter didn't make an effective strategy for attacking in the match. Even if they won ball possession but they couldn't make more attempts than Lazio. I don't know what's wrong with Inter, they only made 1 score despite having many top attackers.
It relates to their offensive system and its operations in match against Lazio. Maybe they will play better next matches, maybe not because they are nearly exhausted after many matches so far for Inter Milan. Thinking of their position in top 3 and many weeks in the first position makes me surprised already.

Manchester United - Watford

Will we see Watford beat Manchester United again?

People who bet Watford will win and Watford win, will have a good Sunday Grin
With the latest rising form of Manchester United, there is very low odds for us to see Watford will beat Manchester United again. Manchester United need to end this season as best as possible and they must have a spot for Champions League. This spot, if they can get, will help them to attract more great players and help Solsa has qualitied new players in the summer transfer.

If not, Solsa will be sacked and Manchester United will fall into another weir unstable season.

I already said it before, if a motivated minority wants to fork, it will fork. Yes, it will be costly. Bitcoin Cash was the same. We were laughing at it, but they developed the EDA to save, and keep their network going.
Instead of making an announcement like "We clone the coin, Decred, for example, from their source code and start to develop our coin from it."

They make their projects look more legit (in fact they are not): "We fork Decred coin because of its drawbacks and develop our better coin".

Fork ~ clone and they will end with no interests from community, investors, zero value.
5468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to identify btc transactions? on: February 21, 2020, 12:26:26 PM
First, you need a bitcoin explorer. You currently use the explorer is built by blockchain.com. Good, but you always can use many other explorers. For more explorers, they are there: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers

Second, because your question is how to find your transaction's details when you already know hash transaction. It is very easy to find yours.

Use the search feature on your browser. Ctrl+F > Your bitcoin address > Enter.

Results: Your address will be highlighted (in Green, Orange, etc. depends on defaut colors for search results on your browser).
5469  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless on: February 21, 2020, 12:02:28 PM
One way I found to reduce identity theft with services that require personal documents are to make a photo copy of your documents and then writing the website or domain name onto the photo copied document, prior to handing it over to the website that requires it. You then scan the new document with the writing and forward it to the service. I have not had even one service that denied my documents, because they know what it was all about.
You invented a great tut to do KYC. Thank you.
Quote
Yes, some people might say that with modern Photoshop software, this can be removed, but I want to challenge them in doing that with documents that was written on and they will soon find out that it would not be that easy and it will also leave some new metadata for the forensic software to be extracted, if it was later used in some crime.

Also, when a hacker gets hold of say 100 000 KYC documents, they would rather use the "clean" documents, than having to go through the whole process of the "cleaning" of your documents with your own water mark.
If a hacker steal data on 100 000 KYC documents, I believe he will prioritise his time with pure KYC documents, without handwriting stuffs or watermarks. Somewhat, handwriting will play to protect us the second time.

First, from websites that require KYC.
Second, from hackers who will firstly spend their time with non-handwriting KYC documents.
5470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season, scam altcoin projects will appear. Check their Githubs first on: February 21, 2020, 10:59:35 AM
90% of those who invest in altcoins either have no idea what github is and even if they did they wouldn't understand a thing of it, or they don't care at all about how active (or not) the github repository of that shitcoin is, instead all they care about is the pump and dumps and the profit they can make and an active github repository or a dead one is not going to change that.
I doubt that most of altcoin investors care about technical things behind projects they intend or already invested in. Maybe they don't know about our forum but my topic was created to help people who at least spend their time to search and by any means they find our forum and they deserve to know how to do their own investigations on projects and make their own quality assessments on them.

I hope those investors will see my topic, which will help them.
Great thread. The chances are someone has studied the project before you find it, so I'm usually also giving the projects a Google search like this: "<project_name> scam".

Most of the time BitcoinTalk threads and other review websites pop up if there are any accusations against it and, if the proof I find on the websites is enough, I don't need to check anything else. Might save some precious research time Smiley
Rely on works of the others (scam accusations on our forum) or any websites (reviews) is bad way. Because crypto is the one in which everything changes very fast. Altcoin projects appear everyday and you should never wait and depend on works of others to decide invest or not invest in altcoin projects. Their works can be right or wrong.
5471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 21, 2020, 10:48:13 AM
I think that Tottenham will win the game. After seeing that Chelsea lost to Manchester United and they were not able to fight back because Manchester dominated the whole game I think they will probably have the same difficulties against Tottenham. The game between these two teams in the latest games have finished both teams to score.
Both of these teams need three points from the coming match. They need to earn as many points as possible till the end of this season, especially more important from such direct clashes between competitors for the Champions League spots next season.

They have problems on their sides:
- Chelsea: They have bad performance recent matches. I am not sure that they will come back on time when they fight against Tottenham or not.
- Tottenham: They have faced with serious injuries from their stars, and it is more vital for them because of their lack of good substitutes for striker or forward positions. H.Kane and Sonny injured.

Tottenham will win the match.
5472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 20, 2020, 01:30:04 PM
i am also shocked with this result, expected a draw and that Valencia secure next round at home, but this is changing that certainly, and will be very hard for VCF to pass to next round, if anywhere close to possible, but i am still hoping...
I am more shocked with the result because Atalanta did not play the match at their real home stadium. They played at the San Siro, the home stadium of AC Milan. Maybe, it relates to unknown forces, that tend to help AC Milan play well at Champions League. They are the biggest team of Italy in Champions League.
5473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 20, 2020, 11:47:07 AM
Their next game is against Liverpool who will be angry after losing in the CL. I do fear for West Ham, I think they’re going down.
In football, sometimes we see great teams get their first lost matches after many continuous won games. After their first lost matches, they slipped down terribly and need several matches to come back.

I don't say Liverpool will slip and lose some next Premier League, includes the one with West Ham, and lose their Premier Leauge trophy at the end. But who knows how they will be strong enough to come back after the dissapointed match in Champions League? Maybe, it will end as a draw.
5474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 20, 2020, 11:16:28 AM

Tottenham played badly yesterday but one conceded goal at home is not the end of their journey in the Champions League this season. With J. Mourinho on the bench, they might be able to make a flippening with the next match. I awared of their challenges with many serious injuries of their key players, Harry Kane, then Son Heung Min. Let's see the magic from J.Mourinho.
Quote

Atalanta crushed Valencia in that game. The goals came in a way that looked like there was no Valencia goalkeeper on the field. I wonder what will happen when they play at Valencia's home?
This result is a shocking one, honestly. I did not think Atalanta can play well like that. I thougth they could make a draw, a win but 4-1, oh, it blown my mind away.

the 0-4digit ID can be changed but not the unique user ID that discord makes invisible by default.
In OP, I emphasized the importance of users' multi-digit ID numbers, and colors. To see the multi-digit ID number that is unique for each user, you have to activate the developer mode. I am sure that there are very little Discord users activate it.

About passwords:

Don't change your password too often.
Set up your password as strongest as possible, and stick with it. Don't change it regularly. Only change your passwords if you find risks.

I agree that don't use the same passwords for different accounts. It is also very important to don't reuse your passwords for same account.
5478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advantages of having an account on bitcointalk on: February 19, 2020, 12:35:02 PM
My experience has been that this forum provides ample of opportunity to hear about good projects first, but sadly there's also a lot of noise in between.
I joined the forum in the bullish year of crypto and I have read some posts from old users that the forum had a period of purity and the crypto as well. People joined the forum purely to discuss technically and there was no scam and spam.

It sounds very perfect forum in the past but things changed with the bullish year in 2017 that triggered spam and scam. Taking chances from the risks, the forum changed too and we have the merit system and two times of Trust system's upgrades to help the forum get its pure conditions back. They (upgraded systems) all have worked very well, fortunately.
5479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advantages of having an account on bitcointalk on: February 19, 2020, 11:59:06 AM
This forum has many advantages, the main one to me is learning from others, and once we have done some work with some projects we then can learn and share from our own experience, share useful things that helped you earned money or just help people here bringing your knowledge and personal experiences.
Learning about scam projects is the good way to begin in crypto because avoid your loses is a first priority, not earn profits. You won't earn profits from your investment, it's okay. But if you lose your money with your investment, it is not okay.

this forum could become one of the nest crypto forums.
The forum has been the biggest one among many cryptocurrency forums and it has never been stopped upgrading by admins and community.
I quoted some words of the admin in the Welcome mesage
As a member of the forum, you are surrounded by legends; phenomenal successes and catastrophic failures. The forum was created by Satoshi Nakamoto and saw the first exchange, the first altcoin, and the first ICO, but also catastrophic software flaws, massive thefts, and incredible scams. You too have an opportunity to become part of the forum's history: whether and in what way you do so is up to you.
5480  Other / Beginners & Help / Pay attention on multi-digit ID number (with developer mode), and user color on: February 19, 2020, 11:41:51 AM
I thought discord has some security issues when I read the title.
You found a good point that OP should improve (the title) to avoid misunderstanding if readers only read the title.

If I was OP, I would have used the title: "Pay attention on multi-digit ID number (with developer mode), and user colors on Discord"

I have a topic for it too: Discord & scammers. Check user IDs and user colors of strangers send you PMs
Quote
Well, discord isn't really for business purposes, some projects adopted it due to its good features but in reality, it's used for gaming and streaming due to its mic and audio feature.
Projects don't need mic and audio features but Discord provides some other good features. In Discord, you can create many sub-channels for different goals: Announcements (Project developments), Announcements (Bounties); Important Links, etc. These features can not be found in Telegram or some others platforms. I like Discord because of this but Discord users have to aware of risks from scammers.
