5441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin declined 3% as the coronavirus spread in italy on: February 25, 2020, 11:37:03 AM
As the coronavirus spread in Italy recently, bitcoin market has dropped 3% and also the traditional market including all the top ranked cryptocurrencies. Can coronavirus spreading be the cause?
nCov-19 outbreak occured in late of 2019, bitcoin fell down. Wuhang was strictly restricted by the Chinese government, bitcoin skyrocketed to the moon, over $10000. Now, SARS-Cov-2 spred over Italy and maybe over the Europe, bitcoin has fallen down again.

Do you really think that the rises or decreases of Bitcoin relate to SARS-Cov-2 and Covid-19?
Are there strong correlations between them you can find yet?

Personally, I would say "Don't try to connect bitcoin price and SARS-Cov-2, please"

If you spend your time and search the history of bitcoin price and news on SEC, you will see the same fake correlation. People simply tried to connect them together but they are wrong.
5442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having secondary/multiple accounts purpose is..? on: February 25, 2020, 08:41:07 AM
It is what I found with forum search. Keywords used are: alt accounts + theymos

I don't have a problem with alt accounts as long as they're not used to evade bans. Atlas is not banned.

I don't have a problem with alt accounts as long as they're not used for evading bans. If you're hesitant to say something controversial because you don't want it to be associated with your name, please create an alt account and say it.

Alt accounts are useful in some cases, and they can't be effectively banned anyway. People can always use Tor to evade detection. So banning alt accounts outright would hurt good people more than bad people.

If I happen to see someone abusing alt accounts to break forum rules or scam, I will do something about it.

Wait me for while.

PirlEX has KYC and it's mandatory.
The Terms page does not has a single word on KYC (I did not find it when searching with KYC as keyword). Do you forget to include that part? Or do you plan to include it with official PirlEx, not beta version?

Yes we plan some fees reduction when you pay with PIRL.
Good to know. Thank you and sure I am waiting for more details on fee reduction with PIRL as mean of fee-payment.
5444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 25, 2020, 04:43:24 AM
Now it is already 3-2 for Liverpool, mate. Mane has just scored to make Liverpool leading 1 goal ahead. I doubt if the hammers can score again since they are under pressure. Look at the ball possession and total attempts. Liverpool is still much stronger than West Ham.  Cheesy
This season, Liverpool have dominated the Premier League (which was dominated by Manchester City just one or two seasons ago) and they also dominated most of matches they have played in the league so far. Please tell me who can say Liverpool don't deserve the Premier League trophy?

The problem for Liverpool is their form is not too good in Champions League but I believe if they manage to beat B. Dortmund they will show up all their strength next rounds. They will make it because now they will fully concentrate on the Champions League.
When the score was 1-2 I was like 50% a draw, 30% West Ham will win, 20% Liverpool will win.
But after all Liverpool proved that it deserves the first place in EPL without discussion!
Liverpool had a lucky match, definitely, to win at the end but generally they deserved that win with support from their luck.
5445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Discord & scammers. Check user IDs and user colors of strangers send you PMs on: February 25, 2020, 04:37:18 AM
why is developer mode so hidden?
It is a kind of advanced feature for privacy and security, like 2FA. If you care about it, let's activate it (the developer mode), that's all. There are people who activate 2FA for their exchange accounts, some others don't. If it is displayed by default mode, people will don't care about it (I meant who don't care about privacy and security will don't care about anything, with default mode or developer mode)
Quote
the user IDis quite important, it should be displayed by default.
UIDs are multi-digit numbers and they are too long. I don't know the root cause of Discord developers to not display it by default for all users but maybe its length is potentially annoying and they decided to hide it in developer mode.

We are close to releasing the https://pirlex.com beta. You want to test it and help improve it during our private beta testing?
Will PirlEx be released without KYCs? For longer operations, will the PirlEx owners plan to require KYCs on that exchange?
I don't find KYC section on the Terms page of PirlEx.

Which types of fiat currency the exchange will have with its official release?
just a recap about PirlEX, maker fees 0.1%, taker fees 0.1%, we will allocate 10% of trading fees to a wallet cold as the insurance fund.
Will the exchange has option to pay fees with PIRL coins at more discounting rate than default one with bitcoin? Many exchanges nowadays have that option to help their own coins' liquidity and attract new users.
5447  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Provably fair dice game 🎲 $1,000 Daily Race💰7-day streak bonus🔥 on: February 24, 2020, 02:27:20 PM
Right, It's just better to buy a phone, It's cheap nowadays. 2FA greatly helps in the security of accounts, I personally recommended to use 2FA on every account you have as possible, Hacking is not unusual today, Unsecured accounts are very vulnerable to hacking and we don't want to get compromised by the hackers.

I'm just glad that WOLF BET added 2FA this month. It really feels like comfortable to play with.
A smartphone is only to install and operate 2FA is very cheap. If you want a phone to trade or more things, you will need stronger phone and sure must spend more money for it.

For 2FA only, it is so cheap nowadays and everyone who invest in cryptocurrency can buy it (I maybe wrong but I hope not).

2FA codes must be saved offline, not online, and not on any cloud service. When their platforms (cloud services) get compromised, they will lose your data, and you know what will happen with your money.
5448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 24, 2020, 01:37:02 PM
I tend to disagree with the fact that you made mention about  Tottenham Hotspur doing fine under Mourinho,  in my opinion much was expected from the Mourinho,  but he seems not to be getting some things right,  particularly the defense of Tottenham
Regarding to defense system and its power under management of Mourinho, I see you forgot a fact that with any team, their defense systems are positively or negatively (depends) affected by the power of their attack systems.

Attack components is the best way to defense. With some injuries on their stars (Kane, Son), their abilities to attack components decreased and their defense system has been under more pressure from their components. More conceded goals, consequently.
Quote
As regards Liverpool match,  they will win West Ham,  perhaps the margin might be by a goal or two perhaps more,  Klopp might rest some key players against against West Ham today
Liverpool would want to finish their race to their first Premier League, after long waiting decades so they will put all their strength and human resources to the match. They will win it.
5449  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Provably fair dice game 🎲 $1,000 Daily Race💰7-day streak bonus🔥 on: February 24, 2020, 12:04:44 PM
2FA is not required to login and play but you will have to activate it to be able to make a withdraw.
If you don't have a phone, you can install an Android emulator on your pc or use GAuth add-on for Chrome.
Disclaimer: I didn't use the chrome add-on before so I can't vouch for its reliability.
It is better if people activate 2FA to secure their accounts and use real 2FA on phones or mobile devices rather than using the Android emulator on computers. If they use Android emulator on computers, when their computers get compromised (that always can be), their accounts will be correspondently compromised and the risk of money lost will be much bigger.

Don't store all of your eggs in a single bag (for investment, security - 2FA, ie.)

John McAfee
John McAfee, who is he? Has he had any contributions to develop any cryptocurrency project and the cryptocurrency industry in general? Nope.

So why do we have to care what he said, about Bitcoin, Ethereum or whatever coins?

just said Bitcoin Outdated and Loves Ethereum. Is that a real interview. If yes, what are you thinking that, why he said that.
I am sucked that whenever I see a guy talk about an altcoin project, he/she will mention about bitcoin. Our altcoin is better than bitcoin. Sucked!

Bitcoin is our King. Outdated? The bitcoin protocol has been upgraded so many times and will be upgraded more in the future.

Is it possible for a user as a newbie to send merits?
First thing to say to you: "Don't use bold like this. It makes your words become annoying"
Quote
If yes, How many?
and how many can you receive as a Newbie?
You will only see your merit button on the right corner of each post box when you already received merits.

I don't remember the button will appear when you receive your first merit or it will appear when you receive 2 merits at least. You can confirm this information (now you received your first merit). Have you seen the merit button ?

You can send half of your earned merits. For each earned merits you have 0.5 sMerit (sendable merit) and you can not send 0.5 sMerits. You can send with even amount of sMerits, not odds.

5453  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping a thread : Are Stats available ? on: February 24, 2020, 10:42:33 AM
It is exactly what theymos want to get from the bump score: To reduce effects of shit-bumps from spammers, bumping-service-providers, and shill-accounts.
Today we can see topics on those 4 boards in more reasonable orders, and they have not been sorted according to the newest posts like before the bump score was applied.

No one can stop them to make their shit posts (only when they break rules, we can report their posts to moderators). If no rules are broken by them, their posts will only affect people who posted in those topics because they will see those topics listed on the top when they click on "Show new replies to your posts".
A topic's bump score is affected by the above two actions over the last 36 hours. Each action's effect decays linearly over the 36 hours, so an event which contributed 1 at the beginning will contribute 0.5 after 18 hours.
Some simulations from LoyceV and PrimeNumber7.
They both made their simulations from this one:
I think that the auto-stabilization property I described actually is desirable, though, so I changed the system to provide it. Now your super-bump power is: b*(1-0.15*s/b), where b is your base power and s is the total bump score you've contributed via superbumps over the last 30 days. This gives the same result as the previous algorithm except when any 30-day period overlaps with another.

I made a graph to fully understand what this means. With 1 Super bump per day, it takes a couple of months to stabilize to a certain Super bump power.
Image loading...

I simplified your formula to as follows:
b*[0.85^(s/b)]

I am fairly confident the above is the intention, but have no way of testing if it is implemented because I have superbumped threads in the past 30 days. If the 's/b' is an exponent, I can rule out the '0.15' from being the base because if someone has never superbumped any threads, the exponent will be zero, and the parenthesis would be simplified to '1-1', or zero, and if the 0.15 is multiplied by 's/b' the rolling 30 day cumulative superbump score (assuming 1 superbump per day) varies a lot for the first 90 days after the first 30 days of superbumping. Using an exponent to 0.85 results in the superbump power stabilizing within 60 days if someone superbumps one thread per day.

I have charted both the above exponent formula, and 0.15 being multiplied by s/b below:
b*[0.85^(s/b)]

0.15 being multiplied by 's/b':

I have also charted the individual superbump power if someone bumps one thread per day based on the exponent formula:

loyceV charted individual superbump power based on 0.15 being multipled by s/b.

I have uploaded the underlying data to a google docs spreadsheet.

I am still experimenting, but my current hypothesis is that the multiplication formula can be gamed by stopping superbumping for several days when the superbump value gets very low, while the exponent formula stabilizes quickly enough so that this strategy of gaming will not work.

Many months passed after the day bump score went in effects, how about a new update?
Some stats on the likely effect of this change:

Number of new posts during the two-week period between August 18-31 (before this change): 131219
Number of new posts during the two-week period between September 22 - October 5: 142907
Increase of 11688 posts or +9% (helped in part by Yobit I would assume).

However the number of new posts on the 4 affected boards (for the same time periods) is...

Before: 58406
After: 46781
Decrease of 11625 posts or -20%.

5454  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping a thread : Are Stats available ? on: February 23, 2020, 11:49:43 AM
You can retrieve data at NOW LIVE Viewing unedited/deleted posts (search per post, per user or per topic). It gives update each 5 mins.

You can make a request to LoyceV but I don't see why we need it.

5456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not FOMO on newly listed altcoins on Binance on: February 23, 2020, 07:49:57 AM
Recently there have been a craze and buy rush for any coin new listed on Binance but usually turns to a nightmare for those who FOMO too early.
Watch what they do (FOMO buying) and do the opposite way.

Personally, I often wait for some days or 2 weeks after such coins listed on Binance, and buy at their dips (nearly their temp bottoms), and enjoy my profits when they bounce back. I have a good news for you, their bounces back can bring you a fortune if you have good entry points.
5457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 23, 2020, 07:46:16 AM
Yes. I think Juventus focuses on the Champions League, Sarri doesn't have a special reputation for this competition level. So, why Juventus chooses him? Moreover, he has some problems as a coach, like what you said on Chelsea. Juventus should have a better coach on the next session if they still dream of winning the Champions League.
Allegri is a great coach and helped Juventus playing so well in Champions League but he did not manage to help the club win it (in 2 failed final matches). It is so hard to say that Allegri is better or worse than Sarri. They are both great coaches and achieved some great trophies (with small and big clubs).

Sarri is lack of experience in Champions League but with his talent, I think he can help Juventus win their first Champions League after some decades and some failed final matches. If CR7 scores great and decisive goals in Champions League.

There's no restrictions on how many x numbers you can post on a day, however, for a newbie, you can only post for a certain of time after you posted to prevent spamming.
More details on waiting time between posts that are affected by activity points. Activity points, in turn are updated each 14 days.
Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);
There are restrictions on number of PMs allowed each day but these restrictions can be lifted if you get acceptance to be whitelisted.

Whitelisting is only can be done once for a single account on the forum. If you are whitelisted when you are a Newbie, then you can not request admin or global moderators whitelist you again when you are at higher rank.

5459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invalid bitcoin adress? on: February 23, 2020, 05:30:59 AM
it has been more than 2.5 years that this address format was introduced in bitcoin protocol and if you are using a platform that doesn't accept this format that means they have not updated their platform for more than 2.5 years and it may be a better idea to not use their services at all since they obviously don't want to spend any money or effort on developing their system and want to remain ancient.
You nailed it. The lack of upgrades on their systems potentially result in bad outcomes when attacks occur on their sites. It is better to move out of their platforms when everything have smoothly operated.

I would prefer to know how many bitcoin transactions (whole time) have been done with Bench32 addresses and the other types of bitcoin addresses too. Do you know any site that has this information? Please help if you know it.
