4401  Other / Meta / Re: We're Allowing TOO Much! It's gone too far with Lauda. on: June 04, 2019, 08:29:10 PM
Not every DT member agrees with all of Lauda's feedback or with each other's for that matter.  Infighting is not unknown within the DT list, you know.

No, they are just too spineless to say anything about it, or take any action regarding it. I would liken it to a cop watching another cop break the law and beat on a suspect while cuffed. Sure they didn't beat the guy, but they sure kept their mouth shut didn't they? I wouldn't quite call that innocent, hence why they all get lumped into the same corrupt bunch.
4402  Other / Meta / Re: Trust System Upgrade on: June 04, 2019, 07:22:29 PM
With exclusions, if there is a group of people who show a willingness to exclude anyone who doesn’t leaves ratings the way they want, this group of people effectively control the entire trust system, and will effectively be immune from ever being held accountable if they were to scam in a way that is less than 100% clear is a theft, and is refusing to answer questions.

This is actually a huge security flaw, I am not sure why anyone thinks having a group of untouchable users here is a good idea. Humans are flawed, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

4405  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I have been scammed twice. Stop these scammers from scamming again. on: June 03, 2019, 08:42:04 PM
"Stop these scammers from scamming again"

The forum doesn't stop scammers, nor could they even if they tried. This statement implicitly puts responsibility for the problem on others rather than himself. He then goes on to say how he is "done with this Bitcoin peer to peer exchange thing" as if the flaw is in the system or the forum rather than his own lax behavior. New users need to learn that the forum is not going to protect you and you need to do the due diligence to protect yourself. I am sorry if this harsh reality got your panties in a twist, but again if we are actually trying to help these people they need some "tough love" and not a changing of their pampers every time they do something dumb then blame everyone else. If he had spent 5 minutes reading thru the forum first this could have been prevented.
I only see him placing the main blame on the two vultures who easily gained his confidence and conned him, which is exactly where most of the blame belongs. I don't see him blaming the forum or "everybody". Also, I can understand the reluctance someone would have in participating in the direct peer to peer exchange thing when the result was getting ripped off. Perhaps he will get back up on the horse again when he comes up with a better strategy to prevent getting so easily duped. Also, I think the $1300.00 loss gave him enough "tough love." That's a rather pricey expense to pay for getting schooled in the college of hard knocks. I'm sure that your extra 2 cents of "tough love" are really not needed here.

But it is needed, unfortunately because people like you only focus on the scammers. I would compare it to incidents of rape. People LOVE getting all bent out of shape about "victim blaming", and while the perpetrator obviously holds guilt, the victim also has agency and needs to understand that certain behaviors put them at greater risk. Walking around in a dark alley in a city center in the middle of the night for example, while one has every right to do, is still risky behavior. We need to be teaching people how to avoid these dark alleys, not just decrying the evil deeds of the evil people who will always be there. Teach people how not to be victims, don't just give them a hug and send them back into that dark alley.
4406  Economy / Reputation / Re: Never argue with an idiot.... on: June 03, 2019, 08:14:47 PM
Vod is a liar who is 100% in the wrong with this situation, so of course plugging his ears with his fingers like a child is the best move for him. The only other things he can do is what he’s been doing, abuse the trust network and spout lies...

It is the same thing he does every time he gets caught red handed being insane and abusive. He "disappears" for a few days or weeks and hopes people will either forget or be distracted by some other drama, then he returns and repeats the exact same behavior over and over while everyone with any kind of authority on this forum pretends it never happened. This is exactly why no one has any respect for ANY authority figures on this forum. Rules for thee but not for me. Then anyone who points out this double standard is a "troll" or an "idiot."
4407  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion about acceptable and unacceptable behavior. Community values. DT on: June 03, 2019, 08:11:29 PM
What community? You people NEED to give yourselves a sense of value by creating an ever expandable list of "crimes" for you to go after. While you pretend to serve the community all you are doing is systematically making everyone subject to a gigantic list of arbitrary selective enforcement that rots what is left of this dying community from the inside. Hey, but what is important is you have a shiny badge and you feel authoritative.
4408  Other / Archival / Re: To address the emergency, Mexico will solve the incursion or face tarriffs on: June 03, 2019, 08:06:03 PM
So the US is trying to extort Mexico into violating international law and human rights?

Any "logical" argument on behalf of this sick plan is irrelevant once the moral one is considered.  Human rights are such a nuisance sometimes huh?

Extorting them into violating human rights lol. Give me a fucking break. Don't let logic or facts get in the way of your bleeding heart Captain Postmodern. Everyone knows empathy is more important than facts, logistics, and logic. Because empathy fills bellies not logistics right?

4410  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why does US trade with other countries when it can just loot their resources? on: June 03, 2019, 08:44:53 AM
The USA got to be this powerful because it is more of an idea and an ideology than it is a nation. Part of that ideology includes the preservation of basic rights and sovereignty. While the USA might be able to just steam roll everyone and take their shit now, eventually a bigger fish would manifest, and no one would shed a tear because they would be losing fair and square at a game of might makes right, a game that they had started. The overall ideology is more resilient than might makes right could ever be.

Would disagree respectfully. It's true that it's more harm than good to directly annex other nations, the reasoning that it's an ideology of full freedom and respect for rights is a bit odd. While the NSA tracks and checks every citizen out there and polarization is at peak, I wouldn't call it an ideology full of freedom anymore. But, one thing that keeps the ideology floated is immigration and diversity. When it is a melting pot, it's hard to stay biased and morally wrong as the world looks upto it Smiley

The US government is not monolithic. I was commenting more on the culture and the common law form of government rather than the corporation known as THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

4413  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's wrong with huawei? on: June 03, 2019, 03:34:50 AM
what’s wrong: thats a matter of perception.

On a abstract level, there is nothing wrong, because knowledge results in innovation.

Unfortunately Huawei is using espionage to obtain most of it's innovation.

I've heard they buy/trade the technology from Israel who has easy and free access to everything the U.S. has.  Even that mode is becoming obsolete also as our tech companies simply move their jewels to Israel and effectively become Israeli companies.  When the Belt and Road come on-line we'll be worthless and Israel will just switch hosts.  We are so fucked.

Regardless of what avenue they get the technology, this avenue is still not legal and falls firmly within the realm of espionage.
4414  Economy / Reputation / Re: REEE: Puppet Show on: June 03, 2019, 01:25:48 AM
What exactly am I supposed to respond to? I don't answer for anyone but myself as I already stated so, asking me to defend the actions of others will of course net you no reply. BTW the word is censored.

Why did you leave me feedback saying I'm mentally ill with no substance?

Did someone else force you to write that, or is your action?

That was not addressed to you. Furthermore as you are well aware I already answered your question:

I see, so suddenly you want protection under my metric! Thanks for demonstrating its usefulness. Unfortunately we are not operating under my objective metric of a standard of evidence of theft, violation of contractual agreement, or violation of applicable laws, we are operating under a subjective free for all, one you take full advantage of on a regular basis. Under the current standard we are operating under, even Theymos himself said leaving you a negative rating was completely valid, and after seeing you feign remorse and then move right back into unrepentant abuse just as you always do I decided to leave that rating for you because you more than earned it. As far as your mental illness, that is evident from your own continued unyielding escalation of unrepentant abusive behavior, but that is not why I left you the rating, I left it because you doxed and reported a user to the IRS as a form of retribution for their criticism of you. It is more than evident you have trouble controlling yourself.

It would go a long way in helping to explain why you think your opinion matters so much.

...

Why did you leave me feedback saying I'm mentally ill with no substance?

Surely he must be working off some sort of objective standard.

...

TS this is why nobody takes your opinion seriously. You're always accusing people of having double standards or being hypocritical and then you go and do the exact same shit yourself. Set a better example or shut the fuck up.

OOoo did your girlfriend lend you your nuts back for the evening? I find it interesting you and your Politburo pals are willing to nitpick every little thing I do and blow it so widely out of proportion, yet when it is one of your pals (like Vod) his years long pattern of abuse might as well be invisible. I explained my rating above, and there is nothing hypocritical about it. To answer your question, I consider busting you abusive retards up as a continual form of service to the forum.

P.S. Don't forget to get your nuts back before dark or you are gonna git it!
4415  Economy / Reputation / Re: Never argue with an idiot.... on: June 03, 2019, 01:09:26 AM
THANK THE LORD! HALLELUJAH! I can finally look forward to Vod not following me around to start shit constantly. One can only hope it lasts longer than the week it did last time he ignored me forever.

I asked if you were willing to fix the issue. Still waiting on VOD obviously.

My white flag was waved at 3am on May 17.  I've been ignoring TS from that point on.

I was, and still am, willing to remove the negative if he can show a serious commitment to stop lying.

But that's not my call - I have no control over him and his ego.

BTW, thanks for trying to help.  Smiley

No surprise Vod suddenly decides to go silent when he caught himself in his own web of bullshit.

Vod was removed from his trust list as a direct result of his abusive behavior. A staff member agreed his behavior was abusive.

I have never been abusive.  Show us the evidence...

Here ya go!
I plan to exclude you from my trust list due to your feedback on tecshare. I gave you the benefit of the doubt at first, but the way you keep antagonizing, provoking, and holding it over his head has made it pretty clear it was left out of spite.  If you don't want this, I would suggest you resolve your issues with him ASAP.

2. The staff can exercise selective enforcement and also make credible choices simultaneously, they are not exclusive concepts.

The staff do something you don't like = they are the bad guys and the statement in your signature applies.

The staff do something you like = they make "credible choices" and we should ignore the above till this is fully utilized for your own benefit.

BRO , i want to live in your world , it is so CONVENIENT.

You mean the real world where everything is not black and white? Furthermore it is possible for one individual to be abusive and another to not be abusive in addition to them taking a correct action in addition to an abusive action. I am sorry your little smear didn't work out as you planned. Have a good one!

4417  Other / Archival / Re: To address the emergency, Mexico will solve the incursion or face tarriffs on: June 02, 2019, 11:38:58 PM
Can anyone see the downside of this against the general populace of the American people?
This is not risk free to America. Prices of some goods will go up. Instead of addressing the migration issue, the Mexico government may issue retaliatory tariffs on US goods.

The Mexican government is very corrupt, and does not care about its people the same way an American President should. The Mexican government has also dumped many of its problems into the US over many decades.

Mexico is not in any position to make demands from the USA. Its primary income is from remittances from workers in the USA. All the USA would have to do is put its foot on that hose of money and they would choke.
In 2017, remittances to Mexico were $28 billion, compared to a GDP of $1,150 Billion ($1.15 trillion), or about 2.4% of the Mexican economy. According to a recent New York Times article, Mexico exported ~$346 Billion in goods to the US last year, or 30% of their economy.

A tax on Remittances would slow the inflow of migrants into the US because migrants would be unable to send many times the local wage back home to support their families.

You are looking at the entire GDP, not just foreign income. I should have specified but I failed to do so. The original premise still stands as this is quite a dependence on the US.

liberty capitalism is defacto responsible for every starving person, china historically had always starvation, only communism effectivly fixed the issue on its own (with environmental consequences)

humanist communism is the safest humanist way for the human collective, but it can't be enforced globally for egoistic antihumanist regions,

satanists, environmentalists and nativists hate poor foreigners and dont want to share with them (brexit brittons)

billionaires want to enslave others as money earning cattle for their private propterty (trump, bitcoin whales)

its pointless to discuss as if you are one of the mentioned groups you just want to troll around against humanist communism and socialism.

you dont want to publicly admit that you are antihuman. as nobody would then trust you or you would have to associate yourselves with the likes of you (satanist club) in which you are being then killed by each other.

thats why the likey of you always mixes with socialists/communists. because he doesnt feel safe with the likes of him

Ok, so capitalism is responsible for all starving people and China has solved starvation. OooooOOOOok. Sure.

How much "sharing" is enough? How about you let a couple hobos live in your bedroom with you since you are so keen on sharing. The USA gives more to charity than any other nation on Earth. I am flattered you think I am a billionaire, but no, I am not. Communism is a cancer on humanity. Communism is like a punch bowl full of antifreeze that everyone raves how sweet it is, then they all drink it up and die.

I am very pro human. I am also pro reality, and reality tells me as humanity is now we cant just simply substitute empathy for logic, because if we do EVEN MORE humans will suffer and die, and then when it is done there will be no place to run to.

You did get one thing right though, I don't feel safe with Socialists and Communists.
