4521  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Increasing Number of Climbers Die on Mount Everest Due to Overcrowding on: May 28, 2019, 02:43:03 PM
It is some sort of mental illness. The need to be above others at all costs, to feel superior. Its the same mental illness that believers in ridiculous conspiracies suffer from. Flat earthers for instance are a perfect example of people trying hard to feel smarter than everyone else, to feel special.

While I agree there is certainly an element of wanting to be "the teacher" that is very malignant among "conspiracy theorists", and I think this is by design, IMO it is distinctly different in the sense that it is more based on their lack of a frame of reference for the world after their belief systems are destroyed after having to readjust them. They enter a psychological space where everything should be questioned (healthy) then simply keep drifting off into space never reintegrating their frame of reference for the world, and their belief system (unhealthy). I find the kind of knob who would line up to die on Mount Everest is the same type that would have a garage full of Lambos and wrap his face around a tree trying to impress some woman rather than trying to be "the teacher". They generally never believe in anything to begin with.

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-05-27/more-deaths-everest-climber-predicted-own-demise-due-fatal-overcrowding

I say we should increase the numbers of egotistical knobs filing like lemmings to their deaths in the vain attempt at being able to publicly fellate themselves over such a conquest. This is a wonderful metaphor for the meaninglessness of the modern lives of those "at the top" and their desperation to find a way to create any meaning for their lives at all once they have collected "all the things".
4523  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: May 28, 2019, 05:44:21 AM
Who cares about non-trusted, but DT members should be held under consistent scrutiny.

If that is the case you should ask everyone to remove you from their trust lists.
4524  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hhampuz embezzling signature campaign funds from BestMixer on: May 28, 2019, 05:26:08 AM
QS, you’re a real piece of shit. How the mighty have fallen hey. You used to be one of the most respected people on the forum. You’ve turned into a scheming, revenge seeking snake.

You should be ashamed of yourself.
I personally really don't like Quickseller, but the only difference between what he is doing and what the untouchable priest class of the DT is doing is that they have a bunch of yes men around them to make their witch hunts look more reasonable and valid. You people allowed this environment to be created, now it is being turned back at you and now everyone has to live under this constant environment of suspicion, accusation, and reporting as if we are in our own little digital recreation of East Germany. Furthermore the willingness to punitively punish people means those "outcast" really have no incentive to cooperate with anyone after their reputations are shattered now do they? The benevolent bitoverlords only have themselves to blame for this environment.
4525  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tokenizator - FAKE TEAM - using computer generated images. on: May 28, 2019, 05:15:50 AM
Yep, these are definitely generated faces. I have training and experience in graphics, as well as some moderate level of knowledge of forensic analysis of them, and I can see clear artifacts within the images indicating they are indeed not real photos.

This is not new or hard to access, this technology is free to use here. https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/
4526  Other / Politics & Society / 5G Has Dual Use As A Weapons System on: May 28, 2019, 03:40:06 AM
I recently heard this breakdown of exactly why this system is a danger that I thought was quite eloquent and does a good job getting past the "conspiracy theory" aura around this discussion and covering factually possible application.
4527  Other / Politics & Society / Re: President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln on: May 28, 2019, 01:13:20 AM
Until someone does something better than Executive Order 11110, JFK keeps the crown.
Well I mean he did give his life for this country, so I am comfortable with him being #1 in recent history here... but Trump is working out to be a close second.
4528  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. on: May 28, 2019, 01:08:00 AM
Remember that time Vod got his ego hurt and then started spreading all sorts of lies about me? Cheesy

His mental breakdown caused him to have to step away from the forum, and then he came back and left another bullshit trust rating. Somebody who cares about this dude should make sure he’s ok.

Yeah maybe some one should do a welfare check on him and get him on a psychological hold for 48 hours. He loves bureaucracies he will have a great time!

I have to say I don`t agree I think that JFK was alright. I think Nixon was the worst.

I am not an American citizen but as an external observer I have seen other Presidents making a bigger positive impact to the global metrics.
Maybe Trump is going improvements for the US but usually this impact is depicted in the rest of the world, a thing that I can't see right now.

Let's see. Look at Trump's reception in China and compare it with Obama. Look at his respect in Japan. And, if nothing else look at the positive progress in the Korean peninsula.

Who should we compare that to? Obama? Bush 43? Clinton? Bush 41? No, you have to at least go back to Reagan.

I don't frankly even think Reagan stacks up, especially his time after being shot when Poppy Bush had his hand firmly implanted up his rectum making him talk like a puppet. JFK is probably the best comparison as far as impact, and if you have been following the common theme and plot line of this whole domestic cluster fuck from that time then it is quite apropos IMO.
4530  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Inflation a Hidden Tax on the Public by the Government? on: May 27, 2019, 11:31:47 PM
Exactly. This is why it pisses me off so much to see crypto turned into another casino economy. The value of a valid method of transaction with a set monetary base is infinitely valuable, but people are more interested in LAMBO LAMBO LAMBO! Just stop and think for a minute how much human effort, suffering, and lives have been wasted in order to earn currency that is constantly on fire and losing its value. The Federal Reserve prints more money, as a result its buying power drops, then employers need to pay more to keep up with inflation and cost of living, then according to the IRS you are now "making more money" and they need to tax you even more! This is the first time in human history we have had the true ability for an independent stable based method of exchange. In the world of economics this is basically equivalent to the invention of the wheel in its importance.

These Meta/Reputation threads often give the surface-impression that they are over your head, or that more is going on, when in reality they are simple situations that are being spun into a web so complicated that nobody can traverse it.

This is the Bitcointalk goonsquad's MO to a T. This is part of why they hate me so much, I am a "broken record" and keep hammering the points no matter how big the clown shoes they wear are as they ride their tiny unicycles around honking horns to distract from it. This is also the same reason they go after people like Bill Gator. The ones with respect and trust they ESPECIALLY have to crush, because some one might believe them.
4533  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's wrong with huawei? on: May 27, 2019, 01:27:23 AM
Huawei is not an independent entity, it is simply an arm of the Communist Chinese government. Furthermore 5G can be utilized in a plethora of ways that could undermine a nations privacy and PHYSICAL security. Essentially this conflict boils down to the fact that the USA will not tolerate the Chinese government deploying weapons systems across the world.
4534  Other / Meta / Re: Let's finally remove Locked and Self Mod topics from the Marketplace on: May 27, 2019, 01:20:06 AM
How many people would you say have used how many locked threads to only "serve as a notice" to others in the past 6 months?

How many times have you been to the hospital in the past 6 months? Fuck I guess we can get rid of hospitals...

Stop trying to pass the cost of dumb shit lazy new users not doing due diligence onto the legitimate user base by stripping useful features. It is lazy, myopic, and will solve nothing.
4535  Economy / Reputation / Re: LFC_Bitcoin - the biggest shit poster on this board. Trust abuser. on: May 27, 2019, 01:04:19 AM
Btw why are there just a few members always trying to break a good helpful and contributing member of the space like WTF

Being in BTC should already be counting for a lot...

This is always going to be the result of an environment with unwritten constantly changing ambiguous rules which are selectively enforced. Everyone is subject and no one has accountability.
4536  Other / Meta / Re: Let's finally remove Locked and Self Mod topics from the Marketplace on: May 27, 2019, 01:02:22 AM
Locking and unlocking serves a similar purpose as the self moderated topics. Some times threads do not require any commentary from anyone and are intended to be little more than a public notice. I find both are legitimately valuable at times.
If the two features serve the same purpose, why not allow only self moderated threads, and not the locking of an active marketplace thread?

The self moderated thread would provide a warning when many posts from many people have been deleted, and the locked thread will not. Sure scammers will adopt to new methods if one is neutralized, but this does not mean known methods should not be neutralized if it would not harm any one acting legitimately.

1. Similar /= Same
2. I explained the difference between the two above.
3. You can strip useful features for legitimate users all day and all that will result is less features and the fraud will continue as it always has. Removing features just because you personally do not find them useful is not a solution and will ONLY ultimately result in detriment to the legitimate user base.
You should not try to hyper regulate the marketplace, but some regulations can be good if the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks, and they do not unnecessarily restrict freedoms.

The two features are different, but they serve a similar purpose. In reality most using a transnational thread are not going to have the ability to do anything they could not previously do if the ability to have an active locked transaction thread is removed.

Your explanation for the need to keep the ability to have an active locked transaction thread is that no commentary is needed, and the threads purpose is to only serve as a notice to others. A user can achieve the same result via a self moderated thread with a note to not reply to the thread, and deleting any replies they get. Frankly, I have seen very few "public notice" threads, and I cannot recall the last one I have seen.

You should care about the integrity of the marketplace because if it is perceived to lack integrity, any reputation you have earned becomes worthless, and some people who might have traded with you could decide to not trade at all because they observed many other bad experiences.

I have been using this forum just about 100 times longer than you have. Do you think I might have some insight here you do not? The result is not the same because it requires constant monitoring and post removal to achieve the same effect, therefore it does not in fact achieve the same result. Just because you don't see it or don't use it doesn't mean other users don't find it useful. Your lofty and ill defined "perceived lack of integrity" is just a creation of your own mind with no observable metric with which to even measure. Again having been trading here for nearly a decade I think I just might have some idea what I am talking about here.
4537  Other / Meta / Re: [Feature Suggest] Allow Newb unlimited messages to any ranked member who replies on: May 27, 2019, 12:54:37 AM
If it will be implemented, it should be optional feature. Someone whom feel this feature is convenient and not annoying can use it for their interests. In contrast, someone whom feel this feature potentially bring inconvenience and annoyance, can ignore this feature and skip using what we have now. This feature to control spam PMs from newbies (and Warning with their PMs) implemented after long discussion from forum users, so I don't think most of them will support your suggestion (I could be wrong, but I think there are likely a minor part of forum users support it).

Stop and think out the logic please first. Spam personal messages are generally unsolicited and en mass. You can't send unsolicited messages to people en mass by having one or two people replying to you, and that small number that would reply would not be sufficiently useful to send spam to.
4538  Other / Meta / [Feature Suggest] Allow Newb unlimited messages to any ranked member who replies on: May 26, 2019, 11:17:00 PM
I wanted to suggest a feature that would allow users who are limited as far as the amount of PMs they send a day, to send any member that replies to them unlimited messages as any other ranked user. I understand the limit is completely necessary to prevent personal message spam, but this would allow users to communicate uninhibited and without delay, without risking mass spam. I don't know if this implementation is possible but I deal with new users a lot as I sell several lower priced items and I have high levels of trust meaning I am often one of the first trading partners for new users here. Often they can not finish a transaction for days as a result of this limit. Is this suggestion technically viable without a ton of effort?

4540  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism is so bad that it allows poor people to live. Horrible true story on: May 26, 2019, 08:57:49 PM
Despite the obvious fact that a privileged person in capitalism will be personally better off than they would in socialism without their privilege.

This statement pretty much sums up the mentality of Socialists and Communists. It is not really about improving the quality of life for themselves or others, it is about coveting what others have and wanting to take it from them to create some sort of perverted sense of "equality" where everyone is equally impoverished and enslaved. This is why Socialism and Communism are inherently totalitarian, because they can not exist without taking from people what they have, earned or received by chance of birth.
