I’d like to see something similar passed in the UK.
I don’t think it’s fair I’ll have to pay up to 20% capital gains tax on an investment that I mostly bought in 2014-15.
In Germany there is 0% capital gains tax on assets that you have HODLED for over 12 months.
I’ll figure a way around it, I’ve been playing the system in business for years.
You think that is bad, I have to pay 30% capital gains tax on everything over 50 000 SEK (about 5000 USD). |

Legendary status correlates to making many posts [...] Nowadays, yes. While collecting merits. But there are members that got legendary for mostly just being around a lot, pre-merit era. Although I believe the merits are serving their purpose for more quality posts, the most wordy are not almost contributing the most. Believe lurking should be rewarded as well. Would like to be able to hand out more merits to quality posts, while not being an active poster myself. I agree, I think that now and then there should be a airdrop of sendable merits that doesnt affect the merit count of the one getting the airdrop, just those who receive the Smerits. Unfortunately I'm out of merits or I would have sent you some. |

bad cold sucks but is really no big deal

Caught the flu twice in December. Developed into a nasty dry cough towards the end of fighting off the second flu. Never felt worse in my life before. Doctor diagnosed me with "Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome" and the lung x-rays results showed signs of mild bronchitis. Dude put me on Z-Pak for 5 days (antibiotic), Albuterol inhaler, and QVAR inhaler corticosteroid to reduce inflamation. Platelet counts are higher than normal, likely due to fighting off the infections, but seeing a hematologist some-time this week to get the official rundown - Currently taking baby asprin every morning to thin my blood out a bit in the meantime. Getting old fucking sucks. May I suggest high doses of vitamin D, 2500-5000 IE daily, with a starter boost higher than that. I read some new research several years ago that linked vitamin D to the function of the immune system. Basically what it said was that when the immune system identifies an enemy it picks up a vitamin D and attacks. If it cant find a vitamin D the attack is called of. In the summer we get enough vitamin D trough the sun, but in the winter we usually get a lack of vitamin D. That's why we get sick in the winter (on both hemispheres). I usually get a flu shot in fall and start taking vitamin D at about the same time, and I have not gotten any cold or flu since I started doing that. This year however I never got around to getting the shot nor started taking my vitamins, I was out and just forgot to restock. And now I have a cold. I did however start taking my vitamin D a week ago (high starter dose) when I felt the first symtoms, and I'm almost free from my cold now. I highly recommend it. I joined the forum in April 2019 and had not seen this thread before, today I have entered the thread of (halving) micgoossens and it has taken me to Wall Observer, I have immersed myself in previous messages and I have observed that more than a typical thread of a discussion forum, looks like a group of friends talking about Bitcoin, I like it.
My native language is Spanish, although I understand some English.
I started with BTC in 2019 with a very small monthly purchase, but it is the one I can allocate, for now, it is a long-term investment, I wanted to participate in the halving contest, but according to the rules, it is not my reach
The meaning of the username is accurate, I have a full node working 24/7 since I registered.
Although my forecast for half in the contest, I estimate that the price will be between 9000 and 10000, I have seen very high prices and very low prices on the list, with 10,000 good.

So, Christmas ends today, unless you are some weird old fashioned catholic, in witch case it lasts until Candlemas, or the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Presentation of the Lord, which isn't until February 2nd.
Strange that the merchants haven't made some kind of buying feast out of that.
