GNS Wish I had more time because the amount of shitcoins invading the markets are amazingly increasing. Still. Case in point, GNS. First of all the whole poinbt of this aberration is not even creating a coin but creating a front to sell a "bot". And what does that "bot" do? Theoretically, it will make you money -for a price, of course- by arbitraging. Confused about that? It works like this: While Bittrex may have, let's say Darkcoin offered at 0.00800. Cryptsy may have buyers offering 0.00805 for DRK. And Mintpal at 0.00803. And Cex-E at 0.00798. So this bot will buy for you the cheapest offered and sell it to the highest bidder automatically. Potentially, hundreds of times a day. Small gains, but no risk and multiplied by hundreds, boom: Money, big money. Of course you need to have trading accounts on all those exchanges and the margins will only be significant if those accounts are rather significantly funded... So the guy "Sevith", the "developer" wants to make a shitload of money selling this "bot". And that's why he copy/pasted his way into the new iteration of the utmost shitcoin: GNS. This "Sevith" has gained, hands down, the title of the dumbest "developer" in crypto history, by miles. Guess what he did, within a couple of days of launch: He dumped 1 million coin, roughly 2/3rds of his entire premine of 7% (yes, you read correctly: 7% premine). But I could not possibly describe the levels of dumbness exhibited here even remotely as well as his own very words on IRC. 7% is your definition of "small"? Have you read the transcripts of the IRC? Because they show quite clearly with what kind of a dude we are dealing here... this coin is so wrong from the start point of having a 7% premine, even forgetting that sacrilege a dump means selling your coins, and if it was in 1 day or 2 you dumped 3.5% of the coin supply, while the people that was believing in the project you "lead" kept on buying, then you created the fud about your own dump to buy cheaper, that's called inside trading and it has a penalty by law in normal markets, so just coz u were able to pull it out does not mean it is good or that it is not a fraud (w/e your reason was), this coin is exactly what crypto should not be about, shame and good luck to the blinded or already invested people. What, do you believe this dumb dummy has bought/is buying back? Not in your dreams. He's dumb alright but not THAT dumb. Oh and he did not create any FUD, he was caught having dumped, quite a different thing. He says it all quite clearly in the amazing display of dumbness that are the IRC transcripts. This shitcoin is done and, hopefully, you would all have learned of the experience two things: A.- Never, ever, invest in anything whose developer's name and address you don't know. I respectfully disagree. Your two main issues are Issue # 1.- There's no transparency whatsoever. "Ladygaga" and "xbotdev" are both newbie accounts and probably the same individual, along with other handles. Just because they choose to remain anon does not a scam make. It may make you more comfortable to invest but that is all. The transparency you speak of does not reflect on the roadmap laid out and currently being worked on and implemented. They have a working twitter bot that is being worked on and ported to weibo. This takes time as the devs do not speak chinese. As far as saying the dev uses multiple handles is merely conjecture and one's own opinion. No proof to the bolster this claim has been made, and if true, does it change what has so far been accomplished in that there is a working twitter bot? Issue # 2.- They have a moderated BitcoinTalk forum. Again, while this may cause some concern, you can rightfully start your own post, which you have, and voice your concerns. So, this is a shit coin, as you seem to believe, because the forum is moderated and the devs remain anon? What about the product that is working? This is not like the original shieldcoin. Proff of dev does nothing to vet a devs skill level. How will you be able to get your btc back from a dev working on a highly speculative project, a crypto-coin, and fails to implement a design feature because he is technically deficient? POD does not protect one from a shitty dev, nor even a scammy dev. Here is a working product and not a promise.Very reluctanly I will choose to answer you here, fully knowing that it will have to be re-posted there. A.- I did not post that this was a scam. Not so far, anyway. So your whole argument on that regard is moot. B.- I have explained several times there's only one reason to choose to remain anon. Only one. Do with it what you choose. C.- This product is an elaborate tip bot, nothing else (so far). Any REAL development will require TRUSTED CENTRALIZED intervention by... wait, an anon individual. What are the chances of that? D.- Do you really believe that an anon dev is going to be capable to convince merchants to list their offers so they can be bought through his bot? Really? Ask yourself that question in a loud voice and then answer. The "working product" we have here is a tip bot, nothing else. No one will trade on this that will not be willing to trade on his or her own, assuming all the risks. It isn't even clear at all if there's going to be any fees imposed on the trades... when and if they do happen, so that "working product" is already fully available for free to anyone that chooses to use it... or they can directly send them money by several diverse methods without using any bot whatsoever. It can be done without even an internet connection. So, mark my words, the ONLY value of this coin/platform would reside in the trustworthiness and transparency AND CAPABILITY (technical and, above all, commercial... in other words: He had to respond to the name Jeff Bezos. ok?) of the dev. And I just keep imagining this nerdy guy living with his parents in Minnesotta... granted I can be a bit extreme in my imaginations... |

XBOT This "guys" (I believe there's only one using different handles) have come up with a nice -and apparently "working"- product: It's an iteration of a tip bot that allows for transactions between peers potentially on any social platform, currently available in Twitter. The potential is obvious so, naturally, the interest was notable... in the beginning. Now the price has halved a couple of times and it continues on a worrysome downward spiral. Why? Well, several RED FLAGS, of course: RED FLAG # 1.- There's no transparency whatsoever. "Ladygaga" and "xbotdev" are both newbie accounts and probably the same individual, along with other handles. As stated many times elsewhere on this thread, there's only one reason, only one, for a developer to want to be anonymous: He has something to hide. Now, would you hide if you had the brilliant idea of building a platform to trade directly between users over the huge and growing social networks such as twitter, facebook, Instagram, Weibo? NOT unless you would have a VERY good reason for it. What could be the reason? There could be many, indeed. None of them of reassuring nature. What is perfectly clear, so far, is that whoever this "gaga" guy is, he cannot get anyone to trade on Xbotme on twitter. Mind you, interesting as the idea is, especially from a promotional, mass-market perspective, you still need the FOLLOWERS to market to. XBOT remains with less followers than a schoolgirl could achieve in a week's time. And mind you 2: You will have to trust (peculiar word in crypto) the centralized arbitration of a bot (or it's anonymous owner) should any trade go south... not the most enticing of propositions. RED FLAG # 2.- They have a moderated BitcoinTalk forum. That in itself explains a lot. Again, you only eliminate freedom of expression when you don't want to face the music, otherwise, if you are legitimate, you encourage it.... Oh I know I know, the new "mantra" of the crooks is that a self-moderate forum weeds off FUD... that, as everyone knows, is pure and simple BULLSHIT. PoD is NOT what that guy, cryptoasian or whatever, issues. Proof of Dev is coming out clear and show who you are. Full name and address. Just like any other business where millions in investor's money is at stake. And it is already a standard.
There's ONLY one reason why you would want to remain "gaga": You have something to hide. No ifs, no buts. If you are legitimate, why on earth wouldn't you want to take full credit for what you do? It is really that simple.
You obviously seem quite content with what you have done so far, even as the price continues halving again and again. I'm pretty sure it will continue unless something quite specific is done here. Some other poster says you have a "product working". It might very well be but that product is of no use or very limited use atm and by the time it reaches any consequence (you are actually able to trade some goods/services with it), there probably will be 100 similar "products" available ALL with developers and backers with names and addresses in full display.

we are currently working on marketing and graphical upgrades this is the new SocialxBot logo.  Well, I will just speak as an outsider. The majority, the vast majority of people on this planet don't know what cryptocurrency is. A portion of that vast majority have heard of bitcoin but don't really know what it is. That same segment have no idea that there are other coins out there. I will have to say, I don't like your logo. My main gripe with crypto is that it relies heavily on the"computer nerd" segment of the population, but doesn't do much to reach out as an adoptable alternative currency. I am not a computer nerd. I am an optimist, I see a lot of potential from crypto... But my expertise is in broadcasting and sales. A logo has to convey a very special and specific message. When I see this, do I think of social media? No. Do I think of currency? No. If I was an outsider, it speaks nothing. I want to emphasize, I love this coin. But think outside "bitcointalk" and the crypto community. XBOT can be massive.  This logo is hideous. Really hideous. Why didnt you get it to a vote before choosing such unfortunate choice? Cool?
