Bumped, to make sure more eyes read the latest and have the opportunity to vet the latest submission, namely PanPeru, of which I support. In fact, I just sent $20 USD worth from my BFL bribe money to show support. Since BitPay was used where new donation addresses are freshly created for each transaction, I guess I need to provide a link as proof: https://blockchain.info/tx/3349e3ddc0e289efd91423ef5c7e0cc012ba84a53d4760c68b2920b5d355c0c2

Jumping on the necro here, but what are the odd of mistakenly typing in a valid address? Is it a realistic possibility?

No it isn't. There's 1 chance in 4 billion to mistype a valid address.

Plus, why are you manually typing addresses? Wink

No webcam on my pc for scanning QR codes.

Where was this QRC located?

PG is to smart, I don't think we should worry.  If BFL launch a miner in walnut and Rosewood, we know what happened!

This is so weird! I used to live on streets named Walnut and Rosewood. Seriously!
6606  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: STAFF member xDeathwing is a SCAMMER! on: September 14, 2013, 08:10:02 AM
That's up to Carlos L. I wouldn't do any business with xDeathwing either, but I'm not going to give him an untrustworthy rating because *I* don't feel it's warranted.

I didn't even consider giving out three scammer tags to three users on this forum who've ordered custom hand tooled leather products from my brother-in-law and didn't pay one satoshi toward the over $500 USD owed going on two years now.

Defendants are informed and believe that in March and April, 2013 MtGox customers, at the suggestion of CoinLab, deposited $12,788,701.08 in to one or more CoinLab bank accounts; CoinLab then caused the amount of such funds to be credited to such customers' MtGox accounts but CoinLab did not transfer the actual funds into the MtGox bank account. As a result, such customers' MtGox account reflected a higher amount of currency funds available to such customers than were actually in the MtGox bank account. In April, 2013, and upon the demand of MtGox, CoinLab transferred a portion of those amounts, $ 7,473,490.29, to the MtGox bank account, leaving a balance of approximately $ 5,315,210.79 to be transferred to the MtGox account and which is being wrongfully held by CoinLab.

Surely, that $5M figure isn't what I think it is and now in the hands of...

Don't use viruses, just take a "Fuck you NSA" picture, zip it and encrypt password with several multiple encryption algorithms, then send file and encrypted password via mail with subject Surprise 2013 and write all those random encryption algorithms name randomly.

Even better, embed a simple message steganographically, with a weak password, in every image you share with others.

Send a image back and front, each time changing a few pixels prior to re-sending. Every now and then add a comment like "that won't work" or "I didn't think of that" or "hope nobody ever breaks our code" or "too funny, dude".

An interview with the Virtual Doctors.

http://bitcoinwarrior.net/2013/09/bitcoin-africa-interview-virtual-doctor-project/

They are looking for places to buy computers and cameras with BTC so if the community has any pointers it would be welcomed.

The Virtual Doctor's BTC donation address is: 1G1zNwrLw7xQPWUvRierbg9wrkUCJ2Dort

I've been seriously considering forming a company to accommodate supply needs of Bitcoin accepting charities. Of course, I am concerned that there might be concerns since I am also involved with Bitcoin100. Someone not familiar with me might only see that I am part of an organization encouraging non-profits to accept BTC donations and simultaneously running a BTC business targeting non-profits.  Embarrassed

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't have any information regarding buying equipment in Africa for bitcoins but I may attempt to address this issue myself if the community doesn't see any moral ambiguity in it.

That's exactly what I've been proposing in no uncertain terms as the next iteration for Bitcoin 100 or some other better named 501(c)3 org. There is a unique way to do it so that the staff is paid, the charities receive discounted supplies, and the suppliers are not selling their wares/services at a lost, garnering more sales in the interim.

As far as what's needed in Africa or elsewhere, a solution would manifest itself at such a time when need be.

.....................

For the pass couple days, I've been in conversation with Vicente via PMs regarding getting an NPO to accept bitcoin donations. Their name is PanPeru, and I just received a PM from Vicente that they just started (today) accepting bitcoins via BitPay as seen here: http://panperu.org/web/bitcoin/

They truly just put the Bitcoin donation option onto their site today (it wasn't there yesterday), and I've already vetted them via Whois and the WBM. Everybody, please feel free to conduct whatever research that's needed, to doubly make sure they pass muster. 48 hours should be enough time to make sure there's no anomalies of which I don't believe there are before Rassah does his magic if all is clear.
6611  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 14, 2013, 05:32:13 AM
Seems like nobody cares about the wall at 140. No bids piling up front it or no sells to it. Wall effect has faded.

The bots were ground and the whales were beached.
6612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 13, 2013, 04:15:56 PM
I propose changing the title to this to: Wall Observer - MtGox $140 USD Watch - Softcore

Did I miss the memo showing the trading bots are on holiday or strike?

And what's up with CharBuddy's charts no longer showing? Just when I started to understand them, they go dark.

Full disclosure: I'm a couple three pages behind, thus perhaps the answers lie within.

6614  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bryan Micon's Butterfly Labs Scammer Investigation including Josh Zerlan on: September 13, 2013, 02:59:01 AM
They don't have any real authority is why. It does however mark BF Labs, should anyone research them, and see just how poorly run a company they are.

An "F" rating would have done that better. Sadly bfl avoided the F rating they richly deserved for lying...by telling more lies.

They dropped from a B to C- with my complaint this week. It'll get there if more people file legitimate complaints.

The company BFL may be running subpar or not up to some standards we may envision a company should be run but, upon touring their facility, I'm here to state that I'm reversing my position on them after having drunk the proverbial Kool Aid.

I will be posting in the other negative BFL threads outlining my current position and views of which I was not paid for in advance, albeit I did receive a gift after the KC meetup and my travel/lounging expenses were more than compensated.

Josh was truthful when he stated that if you address to him questions and concerns in a civil manner, he will reply in kind. Likewise, demanding shit and speaking foully had, and will continue to be replied also in kind, of which is understandable, albeit I do feel that such a stance from a COO isn't warranted, but whom am I to say what's appropriate.

Josh and Sonny were gracious hosts at the plant and meetup, and would probably answered any question I tossed at them, though I had few, for it only took me a couple minutes of seeing the operation to prove to myself that they're not going anywhere, including Sonny after the 15th, of which was bullshit that I probably started or at least perpetuated.

More info forthcoming in the other threads as I read and catch up, addressing what needs to be addressed.

Bruno

PS: The fuckers served me cherry Kool Aid when I was on record that I desired raspberry. If they're capable of scamming an asshole by serving the wrong flavor--on purpose--what the hell else are they capable of? <insert appropriate smiley here>

Wow... this looks great for the forum...  Roll Eyes

You gave me cancer sir, 98 activity 997 post, useless posts.

Excellent mod post! Seriously, excellent mod post... for SA, but not here.

I'll have to correct you here. This kind of post would be bannable on SA, mod or not. We frown on the use of tired, old catchphrases. Mostly because we invented them. 10 years ago. Like the one above. That was one of them.

Is 'SA' the forum version of ebaumsworld? Sure does sound like it.

Oh no, you didn't just go there. Be glad I like you, or I would be... would be.... would be posting pictures of your house and sending you Dominoes Pizza and little tiny packets of flour labeled cocaine. (The trick is it's not flour, it's cocaine)

You send people free cocaine? Can i sign up for some of that? Cool

Fuck the cocaine, I want flower. I know this chick with a yeast infection and I want to bake bread.

21. One of the major issues, if not the major issue, that MtGox was concerned about was legal compliance on the part of CoinLab to conduct the Bitcoin exchange services in the United States that were being discussed by the parties during the negotiations. Early in the negotiations, that is, in approximately May and June 2012 discussions took place among CoinLab and MtGox representatives, including meetings in Japan and over “Skype” video conferencing.

In one or more of those early discussions Vessenes made statements to the effect that CoinLab was compliant with all laws and regulations relevant to conducting the Bitcoin exchange business that was the subject of the parties’ negotiations; and, that CoinLab was registered as a “prepaid access” provider and such was sufficient.

Vessenes refused to disclose or why this was the case even though requested by MtGox, claiming it to be a “trade secret”; and, that if it were disclosed MtGox would have no need for CoinLab. Based on such assurances, MtGox continued negotiations with CoinLab and ultimately entered into the Agreement.

I desire to learn more of how ANY "trade secret" can circumnavigate federal laws. Once learnt, I have a slew of ideas I wish to manifest.
