Lille hosted Lyon in the most important match of the week yesterday.Lille, who led 2-0, could not protect this lead and ended in a 3-3 draw. Jonathan David and Lacazette's goal duel did not produce a winner. We can call it an important loss of 2 points for Lille. 3-3 draw in a match in which they were 2-0 up at home means that the point difference between them and the teams in the race is widening. Instead of winning this match and becoming 5th, they remained in 6th place. Today, both Rennes and PSG go to important away games and both teams will tire their opponents until the last minute for points.

PSG should win. I hope they are going to win. Because you know, they have just got knocked out of the Champions League. And I believe that the Champions League was the main target of PSG. So, I believe now they are going to put all their resources into trying to win the Ligue 1 title. I think they will be able to win. As they do every season.

Auxerre vs Rennes should be a game that cannot end with a draw right ? both teams are looking for 3 points today , as Auxerre to avoid relegation and lately they are doing a great job by accumulating points and then we have , Rennes who wants to keep that last place that leads to Conference league for next year so overall , I'm expecting goals today.

Rennes should also be able to win the match against Auxerre. After all, Rennes is going up against the team which is in the relegation zone. This is going to be a default win for Rennes.

After Harry Kane was linked by rumors with Manchester United, now Mason Mount is the target of Manchester United's next target in the summer. As a midfielder Mason Mount is very good, it's just that this season he has played quite badly with Chelsea. However, it seems that Erik ten Hag has another view of this player to optimize the midfield for the Red Devils later.
Jason Mount is an versatile good player with no doubt in the midfield. Manchester united is a pretty good target for the summer. Chelsea couldn't show their potential this season as they were bad this season, but it's more about the team. He is a player who has already proven what level he is in previous seasons. He would be a very good transfer to Manchester midfield. It looks like Manchester will be very enthusiastic about transfers this summer. Like last season.
Especially if later Manchester United really will have the arrival of investors from Qatar as previously rumored, I think Erik ten Hag will start spending players in large numbers this summer. Mason Mount is on Manchester United's radar and it seems he wants to prove that Chelsea is indeed a team problem, not a player problem.

Chelsea will probably ask a little more than 50 million pounds for Mason Mount in my opinion. Chelsea knows very well that whichever team is going to get Mason Mount is going to get a very good player regardless of the performance of Chelsea recently. So they are going to ask as much as they can.

Currently, two clubs are showing interest in Mason Mount. Liverpool and Manchester United. I believe Manchester is going to spend a lot in this transfer market. Liverpool is also expected to do something similar. Even though we know Liverpool generally does not spend a lot. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 10, 2023, 06:22:31 PM
PSG losing to Bayern in the champion league is really not a surprising thing to me. Bayern is more experienced, and even more coordinated in all round(from the match statistics itself)
People keep saying the club has spent this and that, they shouldn't be losing,  it doesn't work that way. For many that are blaming the coach, will you say he is completely poor if he wins the the French league title this season? Even from the days of Laurent Blanc who won triple league 1 title in a chain, PSG never got past champion league quarter final. I suggest we leave them to what they can do, and that is the French league 1title.

I am also going to say that PSG losing to  Bayern Munich is not surprising..

But that's not because Bayern Munich is just a lot better. It's because PSG is just not doing as well as it should be. It's like people could sense that they are not going to win. After all, the PSG team is not balanced at all.

I suggest that instead of spending thousands of millions to keep a young player who is too arrogant to play with the team, they should spend those millions of dollars to actually build a balanced team that is actually going to work in difficult situations. Unless they do that,  they are never going to get past the quarter-final of the Champions League.
1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 10, 2023, 02:20:03 PM
Papua New Guinea wasted the good start they got and may end up at somewhere around 240. They are at 227/6 with two and half overs to go. Anyway this match is not very crucial for them. No matter how many matches they win from now onwards, they will remain at the bottom of points table in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2. On the other hand, this is a must win match for United Arab Emirates. Already they are trailing Nepal by 3 points and a win today will narrow that gap to 1 point. And then they need to win both the matches against Nepal.
UAE need 247 runs to win and it wont be very easy. Only top 3 batsmen Kiplin Doriga, Hiri Hiri and Sese Bau scored runs rest of batting failed to stand in front of UAE bowling. Sese Bau was not out on 81 runs, he should have scored century as he faced 106 balls. Good come back in the game from UAE after 112 runs partnership between Hiri Hiri and Sese Bau. PNG were once looking to score 270 - 280 but they settled for 246. Still PNG have a chance to win another ODI againest UAE.

Well, the sad news is UAE was not able to win this match. Papua New Guinea set a target of 247 for the UAE. The target was not too big. But the problem Is that UAE was not able to even get close to that target. Almost all the players from Papua New Guinea played fairly well. They had a good overall performance in both batting and bowling. The UAE had posit performance. Only one player named Aryan had a personal achievement of half century. Other than that there is nothing well to be said about the performance of UAE.
1205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Value till 2033? on: March 10, 2023, 08:58:38 AM
Another surprise happened today, when I woke up and checked the price it turned out that it had dropped below $ 20k or around $ 19975, today there was a big drop of 9% and we have to be vigilant, but don't panic and sell cheaply, we have to be patient and waiting for the right moment to buy again, hopefully the price can go back above $20k again, and I think the first 4 months of the year can determine the direction of the price in 2023 whether it will skyrocket or dive.
I'm also somewhat amazed to see the decline that occurred in bitcoin. But that's what happened, and we have to accept it, and we better start putting up the purchase price so that we don't miss buying bitcoin. Now is a good time to accumulate bitcoins again as the price may decline further than yesterday. And don't panic in facing the current market conditions because this is all temporary and gives us time to prepare ourselves by having more bitcoins. We can still hope that the situation will change for the better next week and we can see the price increase again.

Why would you be surprised? Anyone who has been in the market for a while knows that bitcoin is very volatile, and a 9% correction in 1 day is all too common. We're not over the bear season yet, and the bitcoin price drop is something I think everyone is prepared for. I'm not surprised by bitcoin falling back, I see it as better news than panic because we will have more opportunities to collect bitcoin cheaply.

I have not received this month's salary, I will deduct part of my savings to buy bitcoin at this price, and when I receive my salary, I will refill my savings, I think this price is really good for me.
1206  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase capital investment on: March 10, 2023, 08:43:51 AM
Investment diversification means we invest in assets that are independent of each other such as cryptocurrencies, gold, stocks, and real estate… all separate from each other. As for crypto, the whole altcoin market depends on the movement of bitcoin, and if bitcoin crashes, all altcoins collapse, so investing in altcoins cannot be called diversification. But if you invest in gold and bitcoin, the fall of gold will not affect bitcoin. If you have invested in bitcoin, then investing in altcoins only gives you the opportunity to make a profit, not bring your safety.
It is true that I consider diversification to be to other assets far from Crypto as you mentioned, then it can be said to be diversified but if you still put assets in Crypto it will remain the same and the price remains at least still influenced by Bitcoin so it is not diversification.

But it depends on how we have whether diversification will be better or will focus on bitcoin is actually the same as long as we know that bitcoin has high volatility but I assure Bitcoin is far more profitable than other assets, such as real estate, gold, and stocks.

Bitcoin is highly volatile, so it certainly offers higher returns than gold, real estate, and stocks, but you also need to remember the higher the return, the higher the risk. There is no guarantee or proof that bitcoin can survive or will continue to appreciate in the future, we're just trying to build trust in that, it's not as safe as gold or real estate. Of course, if we focus entirely on bitcoin, there will be better returns, but there is also the risk of losing everything, so I think diversification is still necessary.
1207  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the cost of living in your country? on: March 09, 2023, 12:39:54 PM
Right now, to have access to cash is very hard because of the redesign of our currency and I can tell you that things have double eif not tripple over the past months, since the change of governments, I don't think we have had any government worse than this because with your money, you cannot use it as governments is trying to force people to use CBDC and cashless policy  and it is not all sellers that accept digital payments, they prefer cash over cahshless policy. It is the common man that suffers this their nonsense, only grace of God can help us now with the way things are going.

The elimination of cash has been thought of by many countries because we are moving towards a modern world, and another reason is that they want more control over us. But confusing for your Nigerian government, they were in such a hurry to issue a cashless order, and using only CBDCs gave people no time to adapt. I'm not from your country, but I've seen a lot of people's protests over cash shortages. It's horrible that the country is run by stupid politicians.
1208  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase capital investment on: March 09, 2023, 12:32:40 PM

I agree with you, investing in altcoins is not called diversification,

So what do you call it?
All assets that in their price movements have the potential to become independent at any time are worthy diversification objects. It can be affected by a number of things including ongoing developments. The investment term I think is even irrelevant to diversification goals because your belief should be absolute about the long term of an asset, so you'd not consider other assets on the grounds of being risk averse.

1209  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Inflation Happening All Over the World At Once? on: March 09, 2023, 12:23:11 PM

Mostly due to Russo-Ukrainian war I guess. Germany has issues due to increasing energy prices, US has issues because it's spending billions on military support of Ukraine. Turkey's economy was ruined even before the pandemic started. Can't comment on Israel and India I have no idea what's going on there.  Grin

Inflation is also a part of the world economy, and it has been repeated many times in the past and will continue to happen in the future. I believe that if there is no pandemic, no inflation war, inflation will still happen. Pandemics and wars are just catalysts for inflation to come faster and hit harder. Today's world is an interconnected chain that needs to rely on each other to coexist and develop, so if supply and demand are disrupted, it will cause chaos throughout the chain. Inflation is inevitable, we need to be better prepared for the next inflationary period.

Another day and another news.
It seems like manchester united and chelsea have been preparing biggest bid for osimhen. It seems like that that already made by osimhen if he was saying EPL was his big dream has been triggering some big clubs in EPL to sign him.
https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/chelsea-victor-osimhen-manchester-united-26403816
I expect Didier Drogba to be doing his agent work by now in trying to convince Victor Osimhen to come to Chelsea. He's our African ambassador and has been talking with players to choose the club over others, Victor Osimhen is the next Didier Drogba and even the special one Jose Mourinho has said it himself. Osimhen will be a big name in Chelsea especially as we have everything sorted out right now but don't have a typical number nine and obviously a coach that I think we might get next season. African players has a history of doing very well in Chelsea especially the blacks one and we have a very huge fan base especially in. Nigeria the hike country of Victor Osimhen.
It's a dream of every Nigerian international player to play in the Premier league, that's like winning the grammar in football over here so it's just a matter of time before this becomes a reality. As for the cash, will Manchester united be willing to spend? Because I know Chelsea aren't afraid to do such. We could easily sell some players to fetch money for his big money move as anything that has to do with Victor Osimhen at the moment has to involves lots of euros since he's currently at the top of his games and in the news with his constant goal scoring runs that's on, at Napoli.

Osimhen is the story of the town right now. Every team wants to bring Osimhen into the team. And it seems like they are also ready to pay a huge amount of money for that as well. If right now Osimhen gets an offer from both Chelsea and Manchester United, of course, he is going to choose Chelsea. That is what any normal person with a brain is going to do.

But in the end, it will come down to the amount of money that they are ready to spend. Of course, Napoli is going to accept the biggest offer regardless of where the offer comes from. That is probably the only reason why Osimhen might actually end up in the Chelsea squad. Otherwise, there is no reason for him to choose Chelsea over Manchester United at this moment.
1211  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: March 08, 2023, 03:29:15 AM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?
You are right and it has become inevitable too. More people are online now so why not take advantage of that by bringing the market/business online on every social media platform. We can see these days how easy it is for people to advertise their businesses on every social media space even when the original information isn't about that business cos it has become much quicker for people to see your business that way and why not make money instead of just socializing on there.

Even governments are using social networks to convey information to their people, showing that people are living on social networks more in real life. Therefore, social networks used for business are inevitable. There is too much convenience if you do business on social networks, such as shopping you can choose directly through the images posted instead of running each store to choose a satisfactory product. Save time and costs for both sellers and buyers.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which cryptocurrency do you prefer the most to accept payments in? on: March 08, 2023, 03:21:07 AM
All of them except ethereum. Why? ethereum will charge us non sense fees. Accepting ethereum based on L2 like optimism and arbitrum is good enough. The main problem is when people wanna try to send money to others and some blockchains were charging very big fees for each transaction.
This is a common knowledge and that's why people try to avoid to use the expensive blockchain like eth. Eth is now even more expensive compared with bitcoin. That being said that ethereum must be in your exception

Don't worry too much, ETH team is doing everything to make it more perfect, I believe with the next updates, its gas fee will be greatly reduced.
Regarding which coin to accept for payment, I will choose a stablecoin because it has both fast transactions, low transaction fees, and a non-volatile price, ensuring profit for my business. In addition, I am willing to accept all cryptocurrencies if the customer needs them because converting between coins is not too difficult.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: March 08, 2023, 03:10:32 AM
I never believe whatever people say. I believe BNB, Ethereum, XRP, ADA, Tron all these coins will survive in the market as long as Bitcoin is in Cryptocurrencies. They can never be destroyed. Because all these coins are very suitable and popular to invest. I have bought and invested all these coins myself. I never think about all these coins getting destroyed. But if the market is good, all these coins will occupy a better place.
Those are top altcoins, I also believe that they will survive a long time. What we must avoid is holding meme coins or shit coins for a long time. Meme coins or shit coins have no clear future, they may have no value in the future if there is no demand any more. There are too many meme coins/shit coins to be dead coins already.

Anyway, top altcoins like ETH, BNB, ADA, TRON, or XRP seem to have the power to survive well because they have good fundamentals and big communities. These make the demand on the market become quite stable. However, there is no guarantee for the future. So, we can claim that they are impossible to be destroyed.

Top altcoins may not disappear early in the near future, but nothing confirms that they never disappear, everything may occur in this market, including Bitcoin.

But as long as the needs of investors, the market will always have new altcoins to replace those dead altcoins. The altcoins market is a place for sharks to create hype to make a profit, so they will never let alts disappear, just everything will always be replaced after each cycle. As long as the greed of investors does not disappear, altcoins will always exist.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 07, 2023, 07:11:57 PM
Bangladesh had already qualified for the ODIWC. I am not sure why there is so much fuss about them losing the ODI series at home. They are currently ranked above Pakistan on the qualification points table after winning the last match against England because of NRR.
In comparison they are far better than Australia & Pakistan. Bilateral series doesn't make a big difference. In the end what matters the most is how well you can play in an ICC tournament. I am pretty much confident that this Bangladesh team will play much better than many big teams in the ODIWC.

If you are talking about the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, then I agree. Bangladesh has already qualified, by being in the top-8. They still have 3 matches remaining, and are having 130 points. No matter how much they try, the bottom ranking teams (West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Ireland) will be able to overtake Bangladesh. And let's remember that the remaining three matches for Bangladesh are scheduled to be against one of the weakest teams in the league (Ireland, May 2023).

We have the series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka starting in two weeks from now. Now this is extremely crucial. In order to have a chance to qualify for the ODI World Cup, Sri Lanka needs to win at least 2 out of the 3 matches (and hope that South Africa lose most of their remaining matches). But then, South Africa has two matches remaining against Netherlands.

For me, it doesn't matter if Bangladesh has already qualified or not. I still expected a better performance from Bangladesh against England. Of course, Bangladesh was unable to provide that type of performance. At least in the first two, it can be said that the performance of Bangladesh is below average in ODI right now. And with this type of performance, Bangladesh is not going to go very far in the world cup.

Bangladesh is now in the 4th position of the standing and qualified for the world cup.

My question is why there is a sudden change in heart, after abusing Hinduism for so long. But I agree. He is free to do whatever he want and no one is going to stop him. That said, it will be a good idea to stay away from giving advise on how to celebrate Hindu festivals and all that. If Virat minds his own business, then I am sure that the public will also extend the same policy for him. BTW, I am wondering why Vamika is missing from the temple visit. Virat and Anushka didn't brought her to the temple?

Change of heart can happen to any person. Probably that has happened to Virat Kohli. I know it is hard to believe. But people change.
About Vamika Kohli I think they are trying to keep her away from social media and the internet. Which is obviously the smart thing to do.

The answer to this is very simple. When you are in good form and have no worries, you tend to forget about your religion and keep it behind. Success and excessive money are the major reason why people just ignore religion. But when they have some problems in their career business, they come back to their religion.
I guess the same thing is happening with Virat Kohli. He has been IN and OUT of good form and this may have made his mind to return back to Hinduism and hope the nature is again favorable to him. I don't see any other reason for him to do all this.
I appreciate the change of heart. But if he wants to take care of his lack of form, then he needs to practice more. Either he can take part in the Indian domestic cricket, or try his luck with the Sheffield Shield or County Championship. He spends most of his time on domains other than cricket and then he gets disappointed when he fails to score runs. Also, it will be a good idea to start behaving properly (on and off the field). Picking up needless quarrels with opposition players can result in lack of focus while batting.

Probably he understands that he needs God on his side if he wants to continue performing as he did before. Maybe he thinks that God is frowning upon him. So probably he is determined to satisfy God.
1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin by selling wife's jewelry on: March 07, 2023, 08:44:35 AM
You know I remember I read an article before in way back 2017 I just don't remember what it was, where he sold all his property just to buy bitcoin. Take note he sold his house and land, and even if he loses a place to live, just as bitcoin.

And when the value of bitcoin increased, he suddenly became rich because of the decision he made. Although, there is also a big risk of returning to him. Now, in your situation, there is nothing wrong if it is more important for you to buy gold than bitcoin, as long as you don't blame yourself for suddenly kicking the value of bitcoin.
I read a lot of such stories and they did not always have a happy ending. If a person is not mentally prepared for great volatility, then such actions can be very dangerous for him. A person sells an apartment, buys bitcoin, but the price continues to fall, after some time the price drops by 20%, then by 30% and everyone who understands the cyclicality will simply hold, they will understand that they have chosen the wrong entry point and you just need to wait, but an unprepared investor may not withstand such pressure and sell everything in order to save at least some money.

Then the price starts to rise, but he does not buy bitcoin, because it is already more expensive than he sold, and the price will not fall anymore because the bull market has begun and thus he lost a lot of money.

I am against selling real estate for investment, because real estate can already be a good tool for generating passive income. Diversify your funds into different sources and let each of them bring you money.

I think if making a profit from bitcoin if it is so easy, OP should not only sell gold but should sell all assets such as real estate, and houses... to invest in bitcoin because it will bring 10 times more wealth for him. We should all do the same thing and encourage everyone to do the same, and we will all become rich. LOL.

Not only am I against selling real estate to invest in bitcoin, but I will never be in support of selling real assets that are still being used to invest in bitcoin. It was a risky decision not only for us but also for our wife and children.
Don't forget the golden rule when investing in bitcoin: invest only what you can lose.
1217  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: March 07, 2023, 08:24:33 AM
First of all, try to understand that everything about money and education is very individual. What turned as a success to someone might work opposite to you. Second, good education does not guarantee good job or lots of money. Third, experience > education, as often education is theory, when practice is value more. Fourth, you can always earn now, but study later.

Education doesn't mean you just spend money to go to school to get a degree and you say you have a good education, that's why they always classify level, good and average, poor. If you can get into prestigious schools, I can assure you that, upon graduation, you will have a job that pays well and guarantees you a bright future. And if you study poorly and only study at normal schools, then you need to work harder when you graduate to get a job. Not all graduates are equally qualified, so when unemployed don't try to blame education. Education is still a necessary foundation if you want to have a bright future.

I have two good examples.

1) I guy went with me to university. Was very good at studying. Nearly all A or A+. At the very final exam, the lecturers helped him to fail at masters work presentation. He has got MBA in the end, but I think he has got B for his MBA work. If it can be said, he has got a mathematical brain. He should have become an auditor or actuary. A guy that will be in demand for lots of company. As far as I know, right now he is working on a construction, creating concrete pillars for fences.

2) A guy was somewhat below average in school. Barely get his bachelor degree. Cheated during all his studies. Now has two houses and earns 7 times more than a guy from first case. He has chosen to be more concentrated on getting experience than education.

Money and education is individual and good education does not guarantee anything. You just need to focus, and be at right place and time.

I agree with what you said, getting a good education or having a university degree doesn't guarantee anything because education only guarantees you knowledge, and whether you can develop it after graduation or not is depends on you. In the second case, he was not well educated at school, but he was educated, and thanks to the knowledge at school, he made the right choice from which to develop. I wonder, if that guy is not educated, how will he begin to gain experience? Both are educated, and it is clear that the role of education is extremely important.
1218  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: March 06, 2023, 09:27:41 AM
No one benefits, wars are due to ego. Even if there is obvious harm involved to oneself, egotistic person would still go harm's way.

You can check wars happened in history or current one, there will be egotistic reason behind each.

It is true that when a war happens, the people of both countries go through a bad time and it will affect the world, no one wants that to happen. But politically, the winners will be the beneficiaries. Along with that war requires a huge amount of weapons, so arms dealers are the biggest beneficiaries. War is part of the world and it will never go away, when one war ends there will be another war. There are always people who want that to happen because they get great benefits from it.

Can someone explain this to me?

After a decade of ridiculing Hinduism and actively encouraging to celebrate Christian festivals, why Virat Kohli is doing ghar vaapsi now? He doesn't look happy though (look at the last photo on lower right).

I am wondering what will be next. Maybe Hard-dick Pandya will acknowledge that Himanshu Pandya is his biological father and not some random Jamaican as he has been claiming till now? Or maybe Rohit Sharma will stop eating beef (at least publicly)... LOL.. the possibilities are endless.

I am guessing that Anushka had a very big say in this. And another thing is why wouldn't Virat Kohli do this? After all, he is an Indian and also follows Hinduism. So if he wants to stay in India he will have to abide by the rules.

By the way, I honestly think that we should leave this man doing whatever he wants to do regarding his religion. I mean everyone should have that freedom. Now there are a lot of unbelievable things happening regularly, that's another story. But a person who wants to be a religious person is probably something we should not nitpick about too much.
