Robert Lewandowski is currently not performing very well in Barcelona. If Barcelona can actually get Robert Firmino for free, it is actually going to be good for them. But at the same time, I also understand what you were saying. It is not the best option to have two players who are quite old in the team and going to ask for a good amount of money as a salary. Barcelona needs younger players, who are actually better. But we all know that those types of players are going to cost a lot of money which Barcelona most likely can not afford right now.
Robert Lewandowski is going through tough time, just as every players else where.  He will bounce back again, beside he's aging, so many factors affecting him right now, but he's a good player. Robert Firmino is good striker, but he's lacking match time in Liverpool , he needs a a club that will value he's ability. Barcelona would be a good club him if Barcelona management could be able to pay the price and get him from Liverpool next season.

It is actually very understandable why Robert Lewandowski is not being able to perform as well as he did in Bayern Munich. After all, he is quite old. There is a reason why everyone thought Barcelona was not going to get him for so much money that they did. Right now it is certainly looking like a bad investment from Barcelona. I was actually surprised that Barcelona did invest in Robert Lewandowski for so much but they did not get a younger player for that much money.

Firmino is probably going to be a good decision for Barcelona because I believe Robert Lewandowski and Firmino will actually push each other to perform better.

In every season of IPL, RCB conducts one match as Green Day. And in that match they usually wear the jersey color green. The main aim of celebrating Green Day by Match is to inspire people to make the world pollution free and green.

Do you know how their green jersey is made today and what are the main materials of this jersey? If you don't know about this then let me tell you,
they used 19428 water bottles and 9047 kg of garbage to make this jersey today. You may be wondering from where the RCB authorities collected so many bottles. Basically all the bottles that were in the stadium during RCB's first home match were collected to make this jersey.

These bottles are recycled into jerseys in a few steps. Those who have doubts about these issues can visit RCB's official Twitter page. Hope you will get all the related news there.

This is actually a very good step towards saving the environment. I think this is certainly a good and genuine thought. At least they are not like Apple (remember them saying that they are removing the charger from the box for saving the environment and when they launched the new phone with slim box they celebrated the launch day with fireworks)  Grin.

The step taken by IPL is certainly not going to have the biggest impact on the environment. But it is going to have an impact.

Barcelona and Roberto Firmino have had a verbal agreement.
Firmino has agreed to join Barcelona for free at the end of his current contract at Liverpool. His contract ends this July.
Klopp would have likes Firmino to remain at Liverpool but Firmino is hell bent on moving on to another club.

Personally, I don't think this is good decision from Barcelona. There is no point having a 31 year old as the back up striker of a 34 year old. Firmino is in decline currently. Barcelona needs a young and promising striker to be the back up for Lewandoski not a declining striker.

1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 23, 2023, 11:32:48 AM
It is all in Dortmund's hands to keep their lead until the end of the season and announce their league title at the end from now on. There are only five weeks left in the season so it must be really exciting for Dortmund players. This week was really an opportunity and things went Dortmund's way as well. Bayern Munich must be very frustrated with losing against Mainz.
Maybe they handed the league title to Dortmund right now. I still can't trust Dortmund completely though but I'm still on their side to finish this domination of Bayern Munich in the league for years finally.
In Germany, Bayern Munich have a hegemony of 10 years. But it's like they've been champions there since the zero point. This naturally creates some antipathy. That's why everyone in general wants Borussi Dortmund to be champions. I have to admit that I want Borussia Dortmund to be champions this year too. There are 5 weeks left until the league ends. And they don't have matches with a team that can push them. It's up to them to win all of their remaining matches. Now they must do their part. Because such an opportunity may never come into their hands again.

The Bayern Munich team this season doesn't seem to be the best version of itself that they were last year. For anyone else who is interested in winning the Bundesliga title, specifically Dortmund, this is the best chance they have. However, you have to know that Dortmund will have to be very consistent in order to actually be able to win the title. As we have seen in the past, Dortmund has also been a very inconsistent team. Because of that, it is hard to say whether or not they are actually going to win the title. As a matter of fact, Bayern Munich can actually get ahead in the first position at any given time. I think it is going to be a really interesting ending to the Bundesliga this season.
1085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: April 22, 2023, 11:20:07 AM
Hi I have been toying with the idea of investing in BTC but have waited due to some investors saying the price will drop to 12 - 16k again. do you think it could still drop to this or are we more likely to move on up to 40k?

thanks in advance.

According to what you say, you are investing based on the opinions and advice of others. If you need some advice from me, I don't recommend investing in bitcoin even though it's a very good price to buy and hold. Because you haven't done any research and only invest according to other people's opinions, it will be very dangerous for you in the long run. To invest in bitcoin, you first need to have knowledge because even if you buy it cheaply without knowledge, there is no guarantee that you will hold them without panicking before the market's volatility. Knowledge is essential if you want to be profitable.
1086  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: April 22, 2023, 11:01:35 AM
I am sure that bitcoin will reach new ATH again at least in the next halving period. Usually, when a halving occurs, the bitcoin price increases very significantly and even prints new ATH. Moreover, the Bitcoin halving plays an important role in ensuring that the supply of BTC is limited so that it can inhibit inflation against bitcoin.
Many people are used to bitcoin going up after a halving and always showing a new ATH. I think that at least once it might not work, because it is very easy to buy cheap bitcoin before the halving, for example now, and sell it after the halving with a good profit. A lot of people know about this pattern now, and everyone wants to make a profit.

Many people know about this pattern, but not all, and compared to the world population, the percentage of participants in the cryptocurrency market is negligible number. So I think this pattern will work fine a few more times before there is a disturbance. I also believe that sooner or later, the market is not cyclical, history does not repeat itself and will make new history, but maybe it is not happening anytime soon. I still think history will repeat itself this time.
1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 21, 2023, 06:22:54 PM
So some injury talks have been the headline ahead of City's heavyweight clash against the Gunners. There is truth to it but it could be exagerated as part of the mind games hehe. What do you think? Pep responding with "I don't know" sounds like a classic answer from someone trying to hide the true extent of the injury. I hope Mikel is prepared for any surprises.
Yeah playing mind games is normal and especially when title race is going so close. About City injuries, I can see Ake injury as the only new injury on the list but still things will be clear after tests are properly done. If he is still out by the game against Arsenal arrives, it will be a bit difficult as they need someone tough to handle Saka on that side. They have Gomez on that side but he doesn't have much experience so that will give us a slight edge on the right wing as Saka is really pacy and they need someone with experience to handle him.

Yogee, Arsenal will have to make sure that they win against Southampton first. Because otherwise, it will be a very big problem for Arsenal. Just think if Arsenal loses against both Southampton and Manchester City. Manchester City will basically be one point behind Arsenal, and Manchester City will also have the advantage of playing one match less compared to arsenal.

So first Arsenal will have to make sure that they win against Southampton, and after that be ready for the Manchester City match. They will also have to make sure that if Manchester City has any problems regarding injuries, they can actually take advantage of that.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 21, 2023, 03:59:53 PM
RR, LSG, CSK &GT are looking good in the point table for now. Top three teams will easy go into the play offs. The fourth team might be either GT or RCB. SRH will be playing against CSK today. I have a feeling that CSK would win this match as they are looking very good as a bowling & batting side. The only issue is thier fielding. They have made a tendency to drop catches. Harry Brooks was a failure in the last match. If CSK can get his wicket then they would easily win today's match.
Almost half of the IPL 2023 season is over. A total of 70 matches will be held in the group stage, out of which 28 matches have already been held. In the 28 matches, each team is in a different position in the points table. So far, Rajasthan Royals are at the top of the points table with 8 points from six matches. And LSG as the second team, CSK as the third team and Gujarat Titans at the fourth position in the points table.

The game is still half over so it is not yet known which four teams will qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2023.
Rajasthan Royals and LSG are pretty sure to make the playoffs. Let's see which of the remaining two teams qualify for the playoffs.

I believe it is still really early in this tournament to predict anything. Yes, I know already half of the matches have been played. But you know, the point difference is still not very big between all the teams.

You are right, it is true that the team which are on the upper side of the table are actually looking really good. But I believe that can change at any time. However, one thing is certain that the last three teams on the table are not looking so good right now.
1089  Economy / Economics / Re: How do feels losing money? on: April 21, 2023, 12:28:28 PM
People react differently to the loss of money, for me personally it has always been difficult, but the older you get, the more you try to protect yourself from this, although excessive caution can also not be a very good helper in our lives. From my experience, I can say that money is such a resource that can be most easily restored, so it is not worth the experience that we feel when we lose money, but we will understand this later, when the emotions go away.
You have trading skills or anything that can easily recover from losses, but that ability is not everyone and they will get frustrated in that condition because of losses from unsuspecting activities, so always increase review and analysis on every investment, ignore high profits that offered to lure greedy users. We must increase protection not to invest in potentially scam projects, always get used to analyzing the feasibility of investing in projects so that you don't fall into investments that can have a high loss impact.

In general, when it comes to investing, losses are unavoidable. It is unrealistic to expect that you will always win and never lose when investment. We need to accept and adapt that investment is risky, and to get a high return, we need to take high risk. If you are not ready to lose, it is best not to invest, but to focus on saving with a bank that will be better for you.
Honestly, I have never seen anyone invest without losing, and let's not forget the investors who have been successful and rich, they have also lost a lot in the past. But they do not give up, but on the contrary, they turn those failures into lessons and experiences that help them succeed later.
1090  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: April 21, 2023, 12:19:56 PM
If the relationship between relatives is ruined because of money, then you will think that he considered money more than your relationship. So there is no problem even if there is no such false relationship.

As he seems cousin to you, you should have helped him.  Because if relatives are not available during times of danger, people's trust or faith in relatives is broken. But you have good reason not to help because you said that cousin of yours is not a trustworthy person and the amount of money is too much. So if you help him by giving him that much money in times of danger and later if he refuses to give you the money, maybe you did not give him the money out of such a fear. But your cousin should have understood why you hesitated to pay him.

Hope you don't break the bond of kinship because of money.  And because of the attitude that refused to give your cousin a loan, I hope your cousin will change that attitude
Well I totally agree with what you said. because the borrower should be able to understand if the OP cannot provide the loan. because actually OP also has the right to do whatever with the money he has. And if a cousin stays away from us just because we don't lend him the money then there's really nothing to hold on to in that kind of relationship. Maybe if I were in the same position as OP then I would do the same thing with Op.

I agree, we shouldn't keep those relationships because money-based relationships will break down sooner or later, so if it were me, I'd also decide not to lend in the first place. It can be said that losing a relationship with a loved one is a sad thing, but for those who live for money, we should not be too sad.
As for me, I will not discriminate between relatives or friends, I almost do not prioritize in that way, but I will base on each person's lifestyle to evaluate and maintain relationships.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 21, 2023, 12:01:36 PM
Instead of wasting time, it would be better to invest in clear coins. it's just luck if we rely on doge, because it's a meme coin which needs someone like elon musk to increase its price, but on the other hand if we have doge don't always hold it long term. release it when you already have a profit, because dumps often occur suddenly and you don't know how many more years you can recover, or even just stagnate or drop in price
Investing in memecoins is utterly straightforward because they have already seen a large bull run, and what is left are remnants that are being exploited by the top whales in the market. Dogecoin is merely a hype project in the market, but it has had some bull and bear movement in the past. Currently, the project has been abandoned since Elon Musk, the CEO of Dogecoin, only causes price action when he wants to make big gains from it. Tweeting about Dogecoin will continue to raise awareness of the project, but as we all know, this is a ruse to draw in additional investors who are seeking for projects to invest in.
Those who have a bad experience with Dogecoin will certainly be saying that this is not a good investment and not going to recommned to others. But that is enough, we can judge a project if is worth enough for investment or not based on its performance. And that is why still a lot of people are still investing Dogecoin because he earn more profit during the hype and surely they keep supporting and take advantage when Elon Musk make hype it again. I'd never against these investors, perhaps they already see and hear what to happen others but they still taking risk and that is there decision.
I don't understand why there is so much talk about DOGE when there are so many other good projects. I'm not saying DOGE is bad, but I don't think it's as profitable as it used to be. I think for example ADA, LTC or even XRP might be better in a bull market than DOGE. The main manipulator, Elon Musk, is no longer trusted. As long as he is here, nothing good awaits DOGE.

I can only say that it is just your opinion, and everyone has different thoughts, and it is impossible to know who will be right. I also don't hate doge, and if comparing the upside potential, I still prefer Doge over old altcoin projects. Aside from ETH and BNB, all the old altcoins have no guarantee that they will still turn you a profit in the next bull season. As you can also see, many potential new altcoins and the fact that they will replace old altcoins have happened a lot in the past. And that will likely happen again in the future, so investing in old altcoins is as risky as the meme. Investing in doge is still risky, but high profit opportunities are possible, memecoins always bring us surprises.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 20, 2023, 05:08:24 PM
But let's talk hypothetically if by any chance they do start the richest league which is competing against IPL. Players are getting multi-million contracts every year, financially it's good for players so I am all for it but sustainability would be an epic challenge if you don't have an audience and we have heard this story so many times. A recent example is the WC media rights auction.

I can see one possibility where BCCI and Saudi Cricket comes together and go with the joint venture but for this to happen bilateral cricket need to die for sure because the schedule is packed. In this case, BCCI could allow Indian players and it's directly related to the Indian market.
Hypothetically everything is possible! In my opinion BCCI should not take them for granted. The Indian government would surely push BCCI to allow Indian players play in that league. Considering the amount of positive gesture the Saud family has done for India in the past.

That is what I said they both will form a joint venture and Indian crickters would play in that League for the first time. Forget about bilateral series those don't generate any revenue for ICC, I would say yes to whatever BCCI wants if BCCI gives me something in return. That is what you can expect, otherwise BCCI has that option of leaving ICC and start its own governance in cricket. I would like that to happen.
This invitation is very big and I don't think BCCI can go against it. After all Jay Shah is the controlling the board. I believe this collaboration might become a huge revenue generator for BCCI.

The BCCI will surely send their players wherever they see a profit. And I am quite sure that if Indian players take part in the Saudi cricket league, they are surely going to be paid a lot of money. But one problem is, BCCI will surely not want to send their players to a league that is saying that they are going to be bigger than IPL. At least that’s what I think. I believe if the BCCI wants their player to have a good amount of money, they are going to send the players. But if they want IPL to be the best, even after the Saudi league, they will not send the players.
1093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 20, 2023, 01:45:05 PM
Ok, so you also wants to criticize me advice, but then give a real advice, instead of saying common and obvious things like "without trying, you never know what it be", "leave comfort zone" and so on and so forth. How to convince a skeptical person then? "Not ready - dont force" sounds like you are quick to give up on convincing.

Any initiative can be punishable, so I am of the opinion that with regard to skeptics, it is simply not worth discussing with them. They have their own point of view and they are simply not ready to accept bitcoin yet.

I am convinced that if a person is set up negatively, then there is simply no point in convincing him of something. Bitcoin will do everything by itself, some time will pass and its acceptance will become obvious to everyone. Yes, at that time it may be too late for a skeptic to invest in bitcoin, since it will become much more expensive, but it will be his choice and his decision.

For the skeptics, bitcoin really doesn't need those types of people either so I think it would be wasteful and boring to keep trying to convince them. Even persuading them would make us mentally exhausted, so I won't do that stupid thing. Instead, we should take our investment and find a way to help those with a more bitcoin-friendly stance, that will be more than worthy of our time. Our lives are full of things to take care of, so don't waste time with people who always doubt us when we try to help them.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you found others' keys? on: April 20, 2023, 01:31:57 PM

I used to return the money when I picked it up, but it was a small amount for me, so I didn't need it. But if it's bitcoin and it's a huge amount, I really don't know how to deal with it, because I've never been in that situation. If someone says they will find a way to give it back or give it to charity, I doubt it.
Truth is bitter and sometimes if I saw people writing about similar cases like this, I just laugh at them if they say that they would return the money in Bitcoin to the owner or Charity so they will not have anything to do with the fund. We know we all are humans and if this kind of scenerio eventually happens, that is when you will see people that are writing/saying they are gokg to keep the money running away with the whole fund with thinking twice.

If I were in that situation and it was a large amount of money, my greed would definitely rise, like it or not because I'm human. It is a harsh fact that I see a lot of people trying to cover up and think they are noble. Honestly, if I told you I would never touch that money, I'd be lying to you. Being human, everyone has greed, and I don't believe anyone who is saying they won't touch it and won't take it.
This is a question that really puzzles people's honesty, because even if they took it, they'd go online and say they wouldn't take it.
1095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do bitcoins on exchanges come from ? on: April 19, 2023, 05:41:54 AM
Hey !

Just out of curiosity I know there are a lot of bitcoins on exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Bitfinex and so on).
Where do they come from ?

Is it:
- Miners selling bitcoins on exchanges
- Retail people exchanging bitcoins
- Drug dealers swapping bitcoins versus cash
- Other ?

How can I know if the bitcoin I buy on the exchange is "legit" or "dirty" ? Is it important ?

OP, there is no such thing as "dirty" bitcoin. All bitcoin is the same, all satoshis on the blockchain. And the bitcoin on exchanges comes from anyone who wants to sell their bitcoin on the exchange.

This is true, there is no such thing as dirty bitcoin, if criminals use bitcoins, it is behavior evil, dirty human behavior is not bitcoin's fault. After all, bitcoin is just a tool, a means for us to use, and everyone's purpose is not the same. Breaking the law or being legal is human behavior.

Exchanges act as intermediaries that create an environment for people to exchange with each other, and they are government-licensed organizations. So their job is to track and prevent criminals, so I think buying bitcoins at exchanges is safe for us.
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No late comer in bitcoin Investment. on: April 19, 2023, 05:27:33 AM
...
bitcoin has the potential to reach 1 million dollar or more if it gets adopted and it becomes a major currency in the whole world.

Bitcoin doesn't have to be the world's main currency to get to that price point, and I don't think it will either. Governments will not accept a currency not controlled by them.

As long as bitcoin becomes more popular, and more used, once the demand increases and everyone wants to own it, its value can reach 1 million dollars. It all depends on our need for it, it doesn't need to be the main currency of the world. I still believe bitcoin will hit $1 million, but it will take a long time to get there.
1097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs physical gold price potential on: April 19, 2023, 05:21:15 AM
I feel like there is one obvious answer to this debate. Old/traditional investors can't give up Gold. Its the most well known investing method in history. Its physicality means its very convincing. When I argued with family member about finances lately, she told me she can buy cut Gold - worths a lot - instead of buying gold certificates directly. Bitcoin doesn't have this luxury. And Bitcoin investors are mostly between 18-30 or 35. Very young people indeed. So its gonna take very long for Bitcoin to capture high market cap.

Old people die everyday and young people who understand technology are starting their careers everyday. Time is on our side. It'll be a gradual shift over the course of a generation as old gold bugs die off and young people who have no use for gold but understand the immense value in Bitcoin not only buy Bitcoin instead of Gold but perhaps sell any gold they inherited to buy Bitcoin.

Not only the older generation is investing in gold, but everyone still needs gold, simply because it is by far the most valuable metal. Countries still consider gold the most valuable asset to hold more than any other asset class, so it would be an illusion to say that gold will be phased out in the future. You and I and everyone here are favoring bitcoin over gold because its returns are better than gold. The stability of gold can't make you rich, but with bitcoin, you can get rich, that's all you and we are thinking.
If I had a lot of money, I would still hoard more gold instead of bitcoin, but since I don't have too much money right now, bitcoin is my choice because it can make me rich.

Chennai Super Kings put up a massive total on the board, and the last over was quite dramatic.
Just when I thought we're going to watch another high-scoring thriller, RCB lost both of their openers as CSK's baller's strike first. It seems like there may be more trouble waiting for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. After poor bowling, their batters lost quick wickets and it looks like they'll be bowled out in no time. Faf du Plessis and Maxwell both established and charge on...
Virat Kohli and Mahipal Lomror couldn't do any favors in today's match but Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis filled that void today. And it's seems the falling of more two wicket make  them under pressure right now. Left only four wicket and two over and need 30 run  and I think it will be very difficult for their lower order batsmens right now . And one more wicket now I don't think RCB can beat the target but it's really sad to see that even after coming so close, they are going to face defeat.

They lost the match only after Bengaluru was completely in control of the match for 16 overs. Bengaluru's collection was 181 runs in just 16 overs. Bengaluru needed just 45 runs to win in the last 4 overs. They failed to score only 45 runs. Had Dinesh Karthik been at the crease, they might have won. But Shahbaz and Pernell's batting was very annoying. They wasted the ball at crucial moments. Moreover, when batting for such a big target, the team expects a good performance from an experienced player like Virat. But Kohli was able to collect only 6 runs today. But in the last few overs, Chennai's bowlers bowled well. This match proved once again that Dhoni is a great captain.

The case with Afghanistan is a bit tricky. After the Taliban took over administration, the ICC refused to release any payments to the Afghanistan Cricket Board. They are receiving some minor funding from the Asian Cricket Council, but apart from that the ACB has been running low on money for some time now. ECB and CA are adamant that the funding should be released only after ACB could guarantee women's participation in cricket. The future looks uncertain for now, and most of the national team players have moved out to countries such as the United Arab Emirates.
One thing ICC and big 3 must understand is that there is no chance of women cricket under Taliban rule. Afghanistan cricket is developed because most of there players are either born or brought up in Pakistan or they go to Pakistan to play crikcet. Its all because there is no visa restriction for Afghanistan natioanls to visit Pakistan. I don't know how ICC will react to Afghanistan policy of zero cricket for women but men cricket in Afghanistan really need support of ICC at the moment.

I do not understand why ICC cannot respect the idea of someone else. Why do they have to have a women’s cricket team to get funding from the ICC? Why if they don’t like the ideology of someone else, they always have to take certain negative steps about that? If they do not want to make a women’s cricket team, just based on the religious belief, I think they should not face any problems for that.

Still not the end of the road but reality is that now things are very close with City so we might need to tighten up our game.
Yeah it is definitely not the end of the road, but it will feel like it for the Arsenal players and their fans too, considering the points gap they had over City some weeks ago. These two draws against Liverpool and West Ham would almost feel like defeats, even though it is not. Arsenal have to pick themselves up and go again, if they let this slip up get into their head, then it is over for them this season because City have an elite mentality, and once they find themselves on top at this stage of the season, there's no coming down again. Well the game between City and Arsenal is now more like the title decider, Arsenal have to win or draw, a defeat and City would surely be champions.

The biggest problem with arrive if Arsenal drops points again, and if Manchester City is able to win the next match. The points difference will be only one if Manchester City is able to win the next match and we all know that only one point difference is not good enough. I have said earlier in this thread that Arsenal is probably going to be the winner, and they will probably not make any mistakes towards the end of the season as they did in the last season. But I think I spoke too soon.
