1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 26, 2023, 06:17:45 PM
Inter Milan's defeat from Bologna has increasingly benefited Napoli in first place in the standings and having 18 difference points on standing position awhile, there are not any compete yet current standing with Serie A team looking on how many points left between Napoli and Inter Milan. Looking on statistic points achievement Napoli need win on 8 matches later if want lock Scudetto early and potential fewest 8 matches winning depend on rival team between Inter Milan, AS Roma and AC Milan loss points.

Next two matches have AC Milan and Juventus are team potential make Napoli losing points but if both teams can't stopped the winning trend actually Napoli become the winner of Serie A season 2022/2023.

It was actually interesting to see Inter lose against Bologna. That should have been three points for Inter. Now it is going to be really hard for them to stay at the second position. And I believe that's what they are fighting for right now. There is no point fighting for the first position at this moment.

Anyway, the next match for Inter is going to be an easy one against Lecce. I believe there should be able to win that match and stay at the second position of the table.

The IPL popularity have made them have such thoughts. After IPL cricket have gained more importance around the world, even if they don't watch cricket there are people who prefer betting on it. Because, they find it as easy way to predict or go with the odds suggested by the platform than predicting the outcome of a soccer match.

The same is being used as an opportunity by the scammers and they tried to make use of the chance conducting matches. Anyhow the scam is identified earlier, if not more such leagues would've taken place by now. This is really bad for a nation that have the strong team for cricket. If you see the pitch it'll be much more funny than the incident.

We all know that there are a lot of scams going on in the name of legal things. That is what scammers tried. I honestly think it was going to hurt India as a cricket playing nation if people got scammed for a huge amount of money. At least that did not happen. Actually, I want to look at the positive side of this. It could easily have been another story like-  Scammers are actually getting a huge amount of money from this and people are not talking about it (who got scammed) because they do not want to make a full out of themselves by saying that in public.

The scam culture is huge in certain parts of the world, and the SEA region is one of them in my opinion.

Now I can understand for footballers to return to their home country when they are closest to quitting football.  They played away from their country for years and missed their country very much.  Before leaving football, they may want to go to a team of their country for a few years and breathe that atmosphere again.  Marcelo's decision should be exactly like this.  Al Nassr wanted to sign him and he could go to that team and make good money.
With his condition that he didn't have a club at that time receiving offers from any club would definitely be his priority no longer choosing which one would make a good offer, and Al Nassr wanted it to be just a rumor and Fluminese were serious about making an offer and he accepted it and with his age the option would be very limited is not the same as when young.

It could have been a great decision to go to Al Nassr for Marcelo. I know a lot of people have emotional attachments to their first club.  But when you can get a huge amount of money by going to a club and you go to your boyhood club just for the feel of it, I think it is a dumb decision. I understand it was an emotional decision. But emotions are not going to get you money. What I am trying to say is, it was going to be a better decision to go to al Nassr and get a lot more money for his service.

In the previous match between Namibia and UAE, it was UAE to win the match by a wicket. In that match the target is just 91 runs and to reach the score UAE lost 9 wickets. This time Namibia have played better and won the match. It was Michael van Lingen who contributed almost half the target scoring 71 runs. If his wicket have lost earlier, the match could've been same as the previous match going closer.

In my opinion, the plan should be to avoid batting first in some way. The reason for this is that whichever team bats first is not going to be able to win the match.

There will be a match between the UAE and Papua New Guinea on the 28th of this month. There is nothing I would like more than to see who wins the match. There is no doubt in my mind that UAE will be able to win this match. However, I would like to see if the match has any effect depending on who bats first in the match

Match fixing is getting to be common with the small leagues. With big leagues we can't find that easily same as that people identify the fixed matches. Different countries have got different games popular and most of these popular games will be preferred by them. Last year fake IPL is being conducted in a state of India to scam Russian gamblers. This shows gambling scams and fixed matches are getting to be more common and the boards only can make changes to this.
Group in India Allegedly Set Up Fake Cricket League to Scam Russian Gamblers
Haha this is old news but indeed a very funny story.
They even hired a Harsha Bhogle impersonator for a commentary gig. A fair amount of cricketers and Harsha himself reacted to this scam, poor Russians punters  Grin.

I don't understand why people are laughing towards the Russians. Well, actually I do understand why, because men cannot be dumb in this world. And the Russians were dumb. Not doing any research.

But in the long run, I say it is bad for India and also cricket as a whole. Because I don't believe Russia is a country interested in cricket. So even if through gambling some people were showing interest, now probably that is not going to happen as well.

UAE VS Namibia

UAE vs Namibia match is going on now. At the end of 40 overs, UAE collected only 120 runs with the loss of 5 wickets. UAE batsmen are batting very slow. Rizwan remains unbeaten with 45 runs off 114 balls. Probably UAE will be able to target between 160-180. Namibian bowler Bernard Scholtz gave only 10 runs in 8 overs. He bowled well. Also the performance of Namibia's bowlers was quite controlled. However, if UAE can set a target of 170 then they have a better chance of winning. Because Namibia's batting line-up is weak.
Namibia can't be trusted too much. Because ‍accoridng to the last match performance, UAE will be ahead. UAE has some good bowlers who have the ability to create pressure on Namibian batsmen. I can't give an idea about which team will do better at this point. But the betting odds are in favor of Namibia. After the start of the 2nd innings it is possible to guess which team is going to win today's match. Nothing can be predicted in a low scoring match between these two teams.

The match between Namibia and UAE was also won by Namibia today. Moreover, the match has been won very convincingly, and it has also been won very easily for them. First of all, I found it a little funny that UAE scored just 166 by playing the whole 50 overs and they still had a wicket in hand even though they had played the whole 50 overs. In the end, Namibia won the match by seven wickets. With almost 22 overs left in the game, the team is in a comfortable position. The game was absolutely one sided in this instance.

1247  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have any financial regrets ? on: February 25, 2023, 10:07:49 AM
In life, there are many things to regret thousands of times, not only financially. If we were going to only talk about finance, we just need to talk about investing in Bitcoin, I believe we have hundreds of regrets about our decision, so we do not need to go any further. We are just a mortal that is not a god, so we cannot be perfect and remember the past, and the wrong decisions will only make us more regretful. Instead of thinking about it, try not to make mistakes in the future.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 24, 2023, 08:42:20 AM
Sevilla have been much better in the recent times. Maybe they are still struggling against the biggest teams of the league. But they are at least able to perform better in the remaining ones and they are finally getting wins as well. They need to keep this going to finish the season at a safe position in the standings too. The Europa League win should also be some help.
Osasuna are a good team but Sevilla should be able to benefit from the home advantage in this game. I think they will win this game by one goal.
Not seems good progress with Sevilla in this season because underperformance and keep inconsistency, one match won and next match have loss three points in domestic league until 12th current standing position right now. Sevilla this season have eliminated in Champion League, Copa del Rey and their potential finish on top fourth La Liga standing position.
But have good performance in  Europe League after winning first Playoff round leg against PSV and three goals winning make Sevilla confidence facing second leg few weeks later. I think playing on European competition trough domestic league position standing seems difficult except Sevilla get Europe League tittle in this season.

Right now Sevilla is performing better. They are performing far better compared to what they have been doing towards the start of the season. They are at the mid table right now. I do not expect too much from them in La Liga. This season they will be happy if they finish around anything about the top 10.

You know, they just got an aggregate win against PSV. So in the European competition, I have a little hope for them. I think that is the competition they should be concentrating on right now. Because in La Liga they are not going to be able to achieve anything spectacular. At least not in this situation.
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another story telling how billionaires hate bitcoin? - read over quick coffee. on: February 24, 2023, 07:28:24 AM
Having a different opinion and point of view doesn't make anyone an idiot.  He has proven himself as his strategy of investment makes him a billionaire so he might think that he has the authority to express his belief in Bitcoin and blockchain.

The person may be uninformed about Bitcoin and blockchain but that does not make him less intelligent than us.  Remember he has his own specialty and he proves his way and strategy are enough to make him a billionaire.
What the heck are you going on about? He is definitely an idiot when referring to his knowledge of cryptocurrencies and so many posters have already pointed that out. He clearly needs to learn more about BTC.

Honestly, billionaires like him usually say shit about BTC in order to buy the dip and sell when it rises later on which is a clever strategy.

You admitted. He and other billionaires are not stupid, only those who believe what they say to stay away from bitcoin are stupid, and I've never seen anyone stupid become a billionaire. I believe those billionaires also invest in bitcoin, and they say bad about bitcoin doesn't mean they don't invest in it, they talk bad about it every day because they don't want us to invest in bitcoin anymore. Rich people don't want to share their wealth with others, don't believe what they say, watch what they are doing.
1250  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Do You Feel Less Safe? on: February 24, 2023, 07:19:00 AM
In this life anything has a risk, even you're not doing anything in your life, you still have a risk. We could sick, crash during driving, get killed by criminal etc, we can only minimizing the risk all of them can happen to us, but it still has a chance it could happen in the future.

Even you hold your money in banks, there's a chance the banks will bankrupt.

Investing in gold and stock has a chance your account could be hacked or the securities is scam.

While Bitcoin, every contributors trying to improve the security and make sure it can't be hacked easily due to insane new technology invention.

Exactly, everything is risky, and no one knows what will happen in the future. Our job is to try our best, using all measures that we think are safest for us. Everything is relative, nothing is absolute, so don't trust anyone or any technology too much. Investing is a very risky affair, so we need to be mentally prepared at all times for the possibility of the risk occurring. Asset diversification is also a good thing to do whether you are investing in bitcoin or gold, real estate, and risk is all around us.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 23, 2023, 01:46:32 PM
The match will start in around 4 hours from now. The venue is Newlands stadium in Cape Town, which has something for both the batters and bowlers. Australia would be the favorites by a distance, but given the recent form Indians would fancy their chances of getting into the final. News from the Australian camp is that Alyssa Healy is available for selection again, after the injury she suffered during the game against South Africa. India may go with the unchanged XI, or may bring one additional bowler in place of Devika Vaidya.
We might see a couple of changes in the Indian team as there are some reports coming that skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Pooja Vastrakar are not feeling well. Mandana might lead the team if Harman is out.
Aussie complete squad is full of match winners so in the long run unavailability of 1 player hardly matters to them.
After hearing the news Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian captain, and Pooja Vastrakar won't available then slightly have any chances left unless miracle happens. But, good news is captain Harmanpreet Kaur available, but Pooja Vastrakar remain absent. Even yet, it's highly doubtful that Indian women have any chance. Team Australia appears to be highly capable. At least according to history, the Australian women's team almost unbeatable. Australian ladies are challenging to defeat, but Indian bowlers are looking very aggressive. After winning the toss, Australia will bat first; let's see if Indian bowlers restricted them early.

The match is going on right now. Australia have won the toss and decided to bat first. 9 overs have been played till now. Honestly, I do not think Australia has done well enough in terms of the run rate. They have scored 59 runs in 9 overs. In my opinion, that is a little below average from a team that won the toss and chose to bat first. The best thing is they have only lost one wicket. So if they want they will be able to accelerate in the second half of the innings.
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is currently the best crypto to invest in? on: February 23, 2023, 07:42:33 AM
I have been a crypto enthusiast for some time now, thou I have lacked consistentency, but over the years I have seen people who have carved out good lives for themselves with crypto, either by direct or indirect investment.,as a result I wish to invest in crypto with cash, but with minimal knowledge,so I seek the help of this house in advise on which crypto to invest in currently as someone who is just getting to learn about crypto currency.
If I give you advice it will definitely motivate you to invest in Bitcoin only. Bitcoin is the only currency in which to invest without doubt. But it will not always guarantee you profit unless you can hold it for a long time. So if you are interested in long term investment then invest in Bitcoin. Because investing in altcoins may give you a high profit but there will be high risks which Bitcoin does not have. yes, investing in bitcoin is also riak but less then Altcoins
Bitcoin is indeed the best alternative for newbies and for experts. Bitcoin is for everyone and OP will be doing the right decision if he goes through this way on his investment. However, I just fear his minimal knowledge may prevent him from storing his coins safely in a decent wallet, like a hardware Ledger or Trezor one. More or proportionally dangerous to investing in the wrong cryptocurrency, is to not know how to hold it with security.

Lack of knowledge will cause a lot of consequences, in addition to him not knowing how to keep bitcoin safe, lack of knowledge also makes him unable to withstand market fluctuations. Investing in cryptocurrencies means we face many risks, from market volatility to keeping our assets safe from hacker attacks. I think he should not rush to invest even in bitcoin, what he needs is knowledge because when he has enough knowledge, investing will become easier.
1253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how do I keep my private key safe? on: February 23, 2023, 07:31:50 AM
...

The best way is using stainless steel plate where it's immunable against fire, corrosion, etc. It will be good if you teach your kids or someone you love about Bitcoin and tell where you leave your seed phrase.

This is also not the best way, with an earthquake like the one in Turkey recently, or a natural disaster that will wash away all your possessions, stainless steel plates will not be able to help you keep the property. Every solution has its pros and cons, no solution is absolutely safe, and everything has its risks. We need to be flexible on a case-by-case basis to use the most appropriate method. And the method of sharing with relatives is also the method that I am applying today.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 23, 2023, 07:14:29 AM
It's very convenient. Especially if you don't trust banks. I hold all my savings in crypto and that way government doesn't know how much money I have I'm now afraid that the bank will freeze my account or go bankrupt.
But the problem is because there are no crypto regulations right now, you might face some issues with the law/IRS if you will accept such payments. So be careful.

Save with cryptocurrencies? If it's bitcoin, then I think its safe for you, if it's altcoin or stablecoin, nothing is safer, and if you keep your crypto assets on centralized exchanges, that's even worse than the bank. Nothing is 100% safe, you should diversify rather than just bet on 1 asset class, especially cryptocurrencies, a top risk asset. Except for some politically unstable countries like Nigeria, I really haven't had any problems with banks since I used them so far.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 22, 2023, 07:48:52 PM
~
The same goes for women's cricket as well in that country. They have talented players including Jahanara Alam and Nigar Sultana. But this time they failed to win even a single match.
The problem with the Bangladesh Women's team is that they need players who can score at a good strike rate. They are reserving their wickets but they are not scoring a good run rate and in T20 you need players who can score runs quickly and their fielding needs to improve, even in their last match against South Africa if they were able to take the catches that were offered things would have been interesting rather than surrendering completely .
If we talk about the problems of Bangladesh women's team then we have to say that Bangladesh women's team was weak in every sector in this year's T20 World Cup. They have failed to perform both in batting and bowling in each of their matches
And it brings different benefits for South Africa, let's see if South Africa can take on England in the next round going into the semi-finals.

Bangladesh cricket is not in a good position right now. Bangladesh men's team is struggling, let alone the women's team. Right now Bangladesh cricket does not have any actual aim. The president of Bangladesh cricket board is directly responsible for that. He does not have any knowledge about how to actually run things as the president of a cricket board. But just because he has power, he is still in the position. And as long as that does not change, Bangladesh cricket is not going to improve.
1256  Other / Archival / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: February 22, 2023, 03:22:54 AM
I will you that it was not easy to educate people about crypto or about Bitcoin. For so many people I've talked about this in my place and even my friends don't believe it, they still think it a scam think and this is possible because of the influence of social media and news that many people got scammed by.

Well, I think...the easiest way to explain them is to show what you have achieved in investing or trading Bitcoin. Because people will believe us when they saw that we had improve, they are very certain of our status than of what we talk about.

It also happened to me; in the past, I told my brother to invest in Bitcoin, but he did not believe and thought that I had participated in Ponzi projects sooner or later would collapse. But until now, my economy has changed a lot while he is still the same, he started listening to me a few months ago and invested in Bitcoin. It can be said that the result is what they need, and there is no better explanation than showing them what you have achieved when investing in Bitcoin, they will listen to you.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: February 22, 2023, 03:01:57 AM
If the US was ever going to ban crypto, they would have done it since before now, so personally, I wouldn't want to bore myself with such negative thoughts as to what could happen to me or my finances if the US ban crypto, they know better and wouldn't, if they had any plans of banning crypto or bitcoin, they wouldn't be giving operational licenses to crypto currency exchanges like binance, to operate in their jurisdiction in the form of Binance.us, coinbase and other top exchanges that are regulated by the US regulatory authorities.

It could still happen in the future if they don't get any benefit from bitcoin, but it's not a serious problem that can't be solved. If the US bans bitcoin, it will definitely seriously affect bitcoin, but over time bitcoin still recovers and thrives again. Like China's bitcoin ban in the past, this ban hit hard but failed to kill bitcoin. The bitcoin network is scattered around the world, not centralized in a single country, so banning it is almost impossible.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 20, 2023, 07:31:49 PM
The level of recovery witnessed under the new Manchester united is quite awesome and as long as they keep playing at the current speed their will definitely move to compete with Asernal for the first spot and if I must predict the outcome of this season I may say Manchester is likely to take man city spot as the second position in the next coming games.
What we see from Manchester United's current game is the fruit of the strategy owned by Erik Ten Hag, now Manchester United is more organized in defense and attack. Also they have a good transition when they build up attacks. They are not in a hurry to get the ball into the attack line, but they take advantage of the players' ability to hold the ball and practice it well.
Erik Ten Hag added another dimension to the team. I think he has a good relationship with the players and makes the team better. The influence of Ten Hag in this rise of Manchester United must be acknowledged. Manchester United are performing better than expected in the Premier League. If they eliminate Barcelona, we can say the same for the Europa League.
It seems like Erik ten Hag has a good relationship with all the Manchester United players because a good relationship between manager and players is very important to create a solid team and also good because of good communication. And as we can see how Manchester is playing very well, especially Marcus Rashford.
and in my opinion with this season's match which leaves 14 more matches, Manchester United's chance to fight for the English league championship trophy is still wide open. And for the game against Barcelona at home to Manchester United I'm sure Manchester United will win it.

I am not so sure about Manchester United being able to beat Barcelona in the next match. I understand the second leg is going to be played in home conditions for Manchester United. All Barcelona is going to need is to have Robert Lewandowski perform well and score.

Of course, Robert Lewandowski's scoring is not going to be enough for Barcelona to win. But that is going to increase the chances of Barcelona winning a lot. And I also think that Barcelona will have to play well as a team. This is going to be hard for Barcelona, no doubt. But it is doable.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 20, 2023, 07:18:37 PM
I did not watched the 2nd test match between Australia and India. After the first test match, Australia were already aware of such pitches. I believe they tried their level best. But, their effort wasted due to Ravindra Jadeja's extra ordinary bowling. This guy dominated Aussie batters from the first match and he still continue. He becomes a head ace for Aussie batters and coaches. Ten wickets from two innings is extra ordinary performance. Handscomb and Osman Khawaja played good in the first innings. But In the 2nd innings, Almost no one were able to play jadeja.
Every home team would takes the advantage of home ground this is why the word test is used in test matches because it is meant to test the skills of both batters and bowlers. Otherwise they would have simply called it a 5 days match similar to one day match. Two more matches would be played in this series and India now need to only win one of them in order to qualify for the finals.

At one point Australia were only 61/1 and after Sir Jadeja started his magical spell they lost 7 wickets in quick interval. Not to forget Ashwin also played and important part he took 3 important wickets.

Of course, just because India is the home team, they are getting a good amount of advantage. And this is supposed to happen. Australia should know that. It is of course going to be better for Australia if they do not think about that too much and start taking accountability. Australia lost the first two test matches. And I believe they should be 100% accountable for that. When Australia came to India for playing test cricket, they knew that India was going to try to take advantage of home conditions.

There are two test matches left. And I hope instead of crying about India having home advantages, Australia should think about how they will be able to win the next two test matches.

After Medvedev victory in Rotterdam he is back in the top 10. He moved up 2 places from place 11 to place 9. With his first tournament win this year he seems to be in good form. Last year he only won his first tournament in August in Mexico.
He will serve in Doha (Katar) at Wednesday. There he has the opportunity for another victory.

Medvedev had a good performance in that final.
Honestly, I was a little worried that he might not be able to win because his opponent was in great form.
I thought it could easily have been the first time he was beaten by Sinner, but that did not happen.

On the 22nd of February, he is going to play in Qatar Open. It is still not decided who he is going to face.
