that temps are nothing.
for mining 1660ti or better get 1660s
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum London Hard fork on: August 04, 2021, 07:28:47 PM
I will recommend put stop loss at 2600-2700. my max prediction is 3k. anyway i told before this time my target was 2.7-3k. lets see if eth can stay there for 2 weeks.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Powering few Vega at once on: August 03, 2021, 07:48:21 PM
You can also get 8pin splitter. so 1 cable for 1 vega
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Adding an additional 1660 to my rig on: August 03, 2021, 06:56:49 PM
It depends on vendor.some works some doesnt.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3070ti and 3080ti question on: August 03, 2021, 01:43:43 PM
this is absolutely nonsense from Nvidia
wdym by nonsense? from their pov, doing this is absolutely acceptable. they can create an advertisement that gives a good image for their customers (esp gamers), and get more profit. plus they can easily design a new product line dedicated for mining, so it's a good solution for them. not saying it doesn't suck tho.

They will lose a big market share from this as gamers do not buy as many graphic cards as miners do,maximum they buy is 2 to SLI those cards together. The only true beneficiary from such move is AMD which has in no way until now plans to lower the hash rate of their graphic cards.Of course the miners will buy more AMD cards compared to Nvidia LHR cards and from Nvidia they will only go for the moment for the RTX 3090 which has no LHR version yet.AMD sales I am sure will go up during the September-December timeline.
Yes i agree. Nvidia going to lose some here but i believe they will disable this lhr if it goes real bad. Also pay attention after this lhr stuff amd cards did not lost price much like nvidia did. Normal gamer will also avoid this cards because gamers also turn on mining during night Smiley
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Eip1559 doesn't affect GPU demand on: August 03, 2021, 06:47:23 AM
There is demand because it is still very profitable. 30mhs=2$ it means really good compared 30mhs=0.5$ used to be. other hand price are better than last month. I think there will be good price when eth price goes to 1.5-1k.Untill then dont even bother look for gpus
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3070ti and 3080ti question on: August 02, 2021, 03:27:41 PM
I heard latest lhr cards are low hashrate in all coins Sad
We used see lhr cards were only limited in eth and ergo but now all algos are limited. Is this true? Did anyone came across such a card?
Ravencoin is affected I heard this from a friend, I used to think that ETH algorithm is the only one affected but now I'm even hearing that the LHR has v1 and V2, this is absolutely nonsense from Nvidia
Thats too bad. last hope for raven also dead.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: It doesn't feel like Chinese are out of mining business on: August 02, 2021, 03:26:48 PM
Remember last bullmarket in 2018 after 1 year later cheap cards started, so we had bullrun ended in may so wait till next year minimum or 2022. Dont worry everybody will get cards because nobody will be buying them Smiley Lets see what happens.

Someone is offering me 10x gtx1060 6gb at 3000$, to me it looks like a good deal cos that's like 230MH so that's 17$ per day presently and they will pay back in just six months if mining still remains profitable but......damn those cards are old and they such 80-90watts each
Yes but also get prepared for opposite side of the market. What if next week crash? Im not saying crash will happen just if happens. Can you handle these 1060? Last bear market they made me angry gtx 1060s i had bunch of hynix memory i sold them. i got 8g polaris cards for cheaper price which still giving 30mhs solid.i sold gtx 1060s at 150-160$ and bought rx 480-580 8g for 120-130$ each.Im not even looking those cards, each time i hear 1060 it drives me nuts.
Same here mate, I hate the gtx1060 and I'm sure they will be useless if bear market becomes strongs as it was in 2018/2019, if I had 3000$ that bravehash is talking about I would invest that on four Vega 56 because

1. You can find them at 650$ each ( 2600$ ) you still have 400$ left
2. They have 8gb memory and they achieve 50mh easily on ETH
3. They are so good for Ergo coin so if ETH PoW is down they will be useful still
exactly
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I bought the D3 asic miner on: August 01, 2021, 11:45:41 AM
Important question: How much did you paid for it?
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crater on surface of GPU heat spreader on: August 01, 2021, 05:41:09 AM
One of my cards was running hot so I took it apart to see what was going on and discovered a crater maybe 2mm wide and maybe 50-100 microns deep in both the heatsink and the GPU.  It's like some tiny people let off a tiny stick of dynamite and made this not-so-tiny crater.

Card works totally fine except for getting hot.  How to fix?  Sandpaper?
I seen like that one of asus strix. i fixed with mini grinder.carefully grind it so gpu and heatsink will attach good.

394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Statistics of recommended retail prices for video cards on: July 31, 2021, 10:23:38 AM
This is really bad giving top card like rx 6900 256bit bus speed.
rx 6600 has only 128bit what a joke.it is same like rx5500 will be bit higher like 30-33mhs speed. why AMD doing this? I really miss times of polaris and vega radeon 7 rx 5600 5700 times now.they did better cards along time ago.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DPS-1200FB PSU "excessively silent" on: July 31, 2021, 10:13:12 AM
Stop using that psu immediately and protect your rig. i can imagine if you cant touch it then what temp it is inside.
If you are looking cheap psu solution you can get 1 750w good psu + server psu
or 750w+750w psu.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese 4 GB cards seem relocating in ETC mining on: July 31, 2021, 10:07:28 AM
Yep sadly they are getting back online. Major coins hashrate again increasing but lets see all depends BTC price.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Powering 4x Vega cards on: July 30, 2021, 07:23:05 PM
Yes you can use ofcourse and it works with no problem just make sure do not mix +12v rails. i mean you must feed riser and gpu from same psu.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to power this mobo for mining on: July 30, 2021, 07:19:58 PM
No you dont need because your risers are allready powered risers.
Thanks for replying @batsonxl so what's going to happen if I decide to power that slots? Will it feed all those pcie slots power? I mean if I'm using a riser that has no power, something like just normal pcie extender with no power
Nothing will happen it will work like used to be. It will help you ONLY if you decide use extender.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bear market mining on: July 30, 2021, 03:42:05 PM
Its not smart to mine at a near breakeven and sell to pay for electrical and make almost nothing. You should just mine at a slight loss if you believe in the future of ETH or crypto and hold it. This is why many just stop mining then because they never think it will resume and go to ATH again.

I don't recommend this because is uncertain that said coin will have a bullrun again, I mean not only that coin, I mean all cryptocoins, so people should be very careful about holding, digital gov coins are coming and that may as well be the end of cryptocoins in general. I always say wait for coins to crash around 95 to 99% then you buy but that is a huge risk too as I'm betting at some point the market will go up again and then I will cashout later on, profiting from it, I have no idea if it will go up at some point, this mentality in crypto is widely dispersed but one day bitcoin will not grow further anymore or may even die, everything has its limits, my point is, do not hold everything in just one bag. Do not bet on crypto 100%, 20% to 40% is perfectly fine.

Mining at loss is also something I dont recommend too as is better to just buy the coin instead of mining and all have the hassle. Also, only the people who bought gpus at the beginning of this bullrun is winning, any further attempts on buying gpus with 3 to 5x the msrp will end in pain because bear market is really bad, the coin does not go up at all, easier to go 100% lower than 20% higher and even if it goes 20% higher then it goes back 20 to 50% lower later on. ETH is a good example, how many times we have seen eth crashing from 300 usd to 100 usd and vice versa? that happened 5 times from 2018 to 2020.

Also is not easy to time the market, I missed my opportunity to sell eth at 4k as I was betting it would go to 5k then I would sell. ETH may as well go back to 4k and then 5k but I dont believe it will hit higher than 7k this time. I will sell the eth I have left once it hits 5k, that is my target, eth 2.0 is a 5k coin, eth 1.0 is still a 100 usd coin in my view. So if bitcoin hits 79k then maximum eth would get is close to 0.08 btc and then crash back to 0.015 btc, will see, this bullrun is not over yet, bear acting like bulls have just one more chance to take btc up and then crash very hard later on.
Hi Metroid.
Lately i started learning this market stuff. and found very correct timing which no body told me before.
only you need follow this main charts : BTC dominance. BTC price. Total market cap of alt coins. weekly chart most correct chart that you can trust. Im telling you guys if BTC will not hold for 2 weeks at price 43-44k then dont wait any bullrun soon. Now it is playin between 38.5k-40.5k but it is not enough to trigger bullrun again.
So what main point. Follow BTC dominance if it is uptrend then it means it is good keep your coins in BTC. when dominance starts going downtrend it means it is time convert BTC into alt coins. Total market cap will go uptrend while BTC dominance starts go downtrend. This way you know that your altcoins did not reach ATH yet. Every time like clock after BTC ATH then ETH does ATH. my max waiting from eth 2.7-3.0k right now. i hope it gets there. if eth cant hold 2.2k then it means hello 1.7-1.8k again.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ordered for colourful mining MoBO got something else on: July 30, 2021, 03:07:04 PM
Yes there is scams everywhere, before buying from china read feedbacks from that seller. i use aliexpress sometimes i get scammed too but i open dispute and get refund. Also there is good sellers too.
Hi batsonxl can you pls recommend a seller that's 100% reliable for me? I oy have gpu suppliers not motherboards and this days no one is reliable again I'm just trying to avoid getting scammed
And here mobo but 100 buck for this expensive. I used buy these for 40-50 bucks:
