best result is 4024 if i go up or down i get 3mhs. nothing helps
With windows you need a 1st card to let the 4Gb more space... so if you have a CPU Intel with integrated GPU active it and connect there the monitor or if you have a 8Gb card in the Rig put the 8Gb as first with the Monitor attached. That will let you lot more space in the memory to mine... With linux it use lot less for this reason people can use 4076-4080... thanks for reply. Rig has intel integrated and connected allready. rig has total 9gpu 2 of them is 4g only. is it windows making this? on etc no problem they mine with 30mhs |

@Mr.Phoenix please fix issue with miner. it is consuming more power than used to be. it happened like 10 days ago. Since then my rigs are consuming more power and getting hotter. Same settings nothing changed but wattmeter shows more now. thanks

If you are going to with 2 rigs then i would pick:
mobo: gigabyte h110-d3a(6GPUS), biostar b250 btc, these are cheapest and not bad. asus b250 mining expert,
Cpu : g3900,3920,3930 or pentium g4400, what you can fine cheap
RAM : 8G
SSD : 120G
PSU for 4 3080 minimum 1200w,recomended get 1600w like seasonic but they are very expensive. get 2 1600w psu good one. dont forget running them undervoleted or power limit then you will be fine.
For beginner just start with hiveos or nicehash. maybe nicehash will be more easy for start. you just need install windows and download nicehash.

This is the third time my radeon VII died with error 43. Started the RMA and hopefully they would send a new one.
My question is if they send a new one, should I use it or just resell as it probably is best time to sell GPU.

You can use 2 PSU, no problem You should use this piece:  It's called add2psu, it's cheap and easy to find on china sellers, you will connect to your main PSU and will turn on when your main psu is turned on, to running together Yes also dont mix +12v to 2nd psu. it can cause weaker psu burn. Simply feed your risers and 8 pin together from 2nd psu. |

I had a bunch of miners lock up trying to create dag #386. All RX5700XTs. Reboot fixed it. The rest, most of them threw an incorrect share. Did this happen to anyone else?

Yep it happened on switching 386 epoch. rig restarted itself then all worked again.mine win10 By the way where is Mr.Phoenix? new year party continue? Still waiting straps for polaris cards,he said not before january |

am looking to build my first rig right away, what is the best card first of all to go with at this point of time ?
no chance i can find any 3080's so ill have to stick with the older cards, how does it sound having multiple 5700 xt cards (maybe 7) ?...
what board mainly will i need ? and PSU for this many cards ?
the 5700 xt sells 600$ each over here ?
any finally my favorite mining app is nicehash (plz dont laugh) is that capable of mininf with 7x GPUs ?
any thing i need to be aware of ?...

In December 2017, January 2018 were the most expensive prices for video cards, and after 6 months the profit decreased and the prices for video cards decreased by 200-250%. It is now very dangerous to buy new expensive video cards. Calculate your business model if the profit drops by 2 or 3 times. agree with you. Right now its not good time buy cards unless you can find at msrp. paying 600$ for 5700 it is crazy thing. 7X600=4200$ with other gears mobo cpu ram risers psu easy it will be 4600$. it is big money. i remember rx580 was 600$ in end of 2017 then end 2018 it was 100-120$. all in your risk my friend |

You expect them to know your setup with just this ? How about you tell what you are mining, your motherboard, your gpu, your settings ? setup doesnt matter, power consumption increased do to dag size. no matter what are you using with phoenix is increased power. |

i like lolminer and trm but would be awsome if these miner could support oc, there is no mclock, cvddc, straps , rxboost or ref. need o use 2nd program to oc and do it again on restart save profile load again, would be nice write ol oc settings in bat file and run

mine ETC, you get pretty much the same hashrate as for ETH in the good old days.
yeah but ETC profit will not cover his electric bill unless it is free. besides etc paying for 30mhs like 0.4-0.5$.ETC is not like used to be. i was happy for dag but i did not know that they gonna pay so less |

Why would anyone use this sketchy stuff when there are perfectly working miners out there?
I'm not agree with the "sketchy stuff" part, but I understand that people can be suspicious. As for the reasons for using my mod, there are plenty, but I think main reason is that this is legendary miner people loved to use, and with my mod they have unique opportunity to continue to use it. dont pay attantion, there will be always comment in every types. you did right thing nothing wrong with it, keep great working. looking forward for devolpments, happy new year |
