441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which one would you prefer? on: July 19, 2021, 08:41:06 AM
or in eth calculation it will be roughly like this : 60gpu x0.009ETH perday= 0.54ETH perday x 1000days = 54ETH
Even like this it not making more than 100ETH.
Why hassle with 60 gpus when you can just buy and hodl Smiley and make more profit
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which one would you prefer? on: July 19, 2021, 08:33:40 AM
The best and clean way is buy coins and wait. Mining is headache dust clean fixing cooling.
For example person bought 10k ETH at price 100$ in 2018 = it makes 100ETH lets say he sold coins at price 3.5k= it makes 350k.
Now lets say you bought gpu for 10k in 2018 cheapest 2nd hand gpus were around 120-140$ for rx 580 8G. it makes 76gpus. For each 6 gpu you need mobo psu riser etc. So lets say rig 6 gpu cost you around 1K. with 10 k you could get 10 rigs.= 1.8Ghs speed= average 50$ a day.x 1000days = 50K
I know this not 100% correct but im sure it is 89% correct Smiley even im wrong by 60% buying coins showin much much more profit than so much hassle.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How effective are Copper thermal pads on: July 19, 2021, 08:23:53 AM
Im not sure for this because memory and mosfets are not metal plated even you put copper chip is not transferring that much hot. They usually use this for metal chips.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to fix dead GPUs on: July 19, 2021, 08:20:43 AM
Before starting: measure input voltages from 8pin and from pcie. make sure there is no shorts and resistance is ok.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to fix dead GPUs on: July 19, 2021, 08:18:28 AM
Im fixing gpus. If you have no idea better not try do it. Replacing the fuse wont fix problem. If fuse opened it means there is short circuit in mosfets. It is better give to master.
I'm not an expert in the field but I sure know how to use meter very well, the funny part is no single fuse was blown, anyways id just let the GPU rest in perfect peace lol to send it to a qualified person out of my country will cost me much money
If you know how to use meter then plug gpu thru riser and measure voltages for gpu and memory.(Dont keep gpu under voltage to long,if it gets hot it go to protection) if one of them shoving 0v means need to check controller which you need oscilloscope for measure.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to fix dead GPUs on: July 19, 2021, 08:13:31 AM
I have a dead GPU, it's a new 1660 super that stop displaying after I insert riser to the wrong side, the riser gots smoked but I expected the card to still works but till date it's not working, is there anything I can do
Usually wrong riser input makes GPU chip dead.Sorry to say that. Because there 3.3v which goes to directly to GPU when mixing 12v will go there and kill GPU.

The china mining FUD really affect the market, it has gone to affect exchange trading also. Large number of stable and bitcoin were seen moving from Huobi and other chinese exchanges to FTX etc to sustain their trade. After this settles in few weeks from now, then we can also understand the claims by some cryptocurrency influencers that the bull market is not over.
What bull? BTC come down from 65k to 31.5k. If this week it closes below 31.4k another dump awaiting us. I want also bulls continues but fact is fact.

haha this nothing compared asic they have. They are destroying useless asics. We will later see where it is going. Someone really wants market crash.

ETH hashrate is increasing this past 2 weeks Sad

Good for you, remember better pads will be much better like more 12W.

To all crypto miners on here for how long can a GPU lasted before they give up the ghost? I'm talking about well cared for GPUs that mine 24/7 with 70°C max, the reason why I asked is because I saw a video on YouTube about a GPU repairer that have over 150 GPUs to fix and they are mostly RTX3080 and 3090 with few 3070 or is heat not the only thing that can kill a GPU?
You see it alot because most of them newbies that have no idea what they doing, dont know about memory temps.
Ihave friend who bought brand new card 3080. He called me and asked : Why my cards hashrates gets lower. It took me 5min explain how to see memory temps, Card was running under 110C for whole week. imagine some people running those cards at this temps for months.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: This freaks me out on: July 14, 2021, 11:58:32 AM
I have some old Rx 470 mining since 2016 and they are running fine,it means 5 and half years running full time 24/7 with temperatures during hot summer at 75 degree Celsius max.In winter they run at 47-50 max.I still mine Ethereum Classic with them and they are still working great.

The fact that the cards to repair were mostly 3090 and 3080 means they have not been taken good care of,if they follow the best mining settings which are all over the Internet for each and every card and also do not push the cards they can run really well.I think it is 100% users fault for this faulty 3090 and 3080,no need to worry if you keep good care of the cards.
GDDR5 memory dont get so hot like GDDR6. In my measuring GDDR5 get nearly 10C more that shows gpu temps. So you max got 75C it means your memory at 85C.Ofcourse it changes to different brand but roughly it is 10C more.
But in GDDR6 is totally different they run faster and hotter. You must keep your GDDR6 memory below 95C, otherwise it will not last long like old cards.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dead RX 470 - double check your OC before applying! on: July 13, 2021, 06:33:30 AM

On bearmarket for dead gpus people asked 20-40$ now they asking 100-120$ which is crazy. Im buying them because some of them i can bring back to life. And its good to have spare parts.Only memory and GPU chips are valuble. Im looking for gddr6 memories i dont have them.

In a bear market I found that the best deal is to buy ones with a dead fan. You will see a few which are dead GPUs for like $20 but a few GPUs with bad fans for $30. So its better just paying the $10 extra and just having a bad fan to deal with rather than the entire GPU.

However this was last bear market not this one. So right looking looking at eBay gpus are never a good deal, even ones with dead fans. However maybe in a few months try and score some deals with some GPUs with bad fans. Gamers for some reason never buy them because they think its difficult replacing a fan when there are youtube videos everything and you just need some basic screwdriver tools.
hehe im looking forward with bad fan Smiley
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ergo is the next better ETH ? on: July 12, 2021, 05:44:27 PM
Ergo was good but now many mining and profit gone very low. Pow coins must use fee system like eth does. block rewards gets low high. When block same size and many miners join network then profit goes down.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New to mining with RX 6800 super low hashrate on: July 12, 2021, 05:38:31 PM
If you no longer need to select the calculation mode in the driver settings for new video cards, then most likely SumDumFuk has a problem with the operating system, which it needs to reinstall on Windows 10.
Yes he is trying to mine on Windows 7 Smiley with brand new rx 6800 card.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dead RX 470 - double check your OC before applying! on: July 12, 2021, 05:35:16 PM
I think reinstalling the chip would be the easy part. You already have it disassembled and you can easily use a solder wick to remove all the excess solder from GPU and PCB.

Then all you need to do is recall it which is easy if you got the adapter that goes with the stencil. It makes it easier. If you don’t have it then it will be a pain putting a single solder ball per pin and sometimes you will bump it somewhere and have to start over.

Then when done you just put it into the PCB , align and heat again until it melts into place. Then plug it in and pray that it boots.

Not really that difficult if you got the right equipment. However these days I don’t think there are too many dead GPUs out there which would make it worth investing all this equipment.  How many dead GPUs are there on eBay? Not that many and most of the dead ones you can’t repair because they are dead because they are burnt and you can’t fix a GPU if there is a large burn mark on the PCB.

460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: No news about dead 3090 yet or am I wrong? on: July 12, 2021, 09:07:33 AM
Is there a need to buy a 3090 though? Considering you can get 3060 for cheap (at least in China), maybe you should rethink it. If you can buy from China or has a contact there, you might be able to save a lot of money and faster ROI. CMIIW.

Everyone keeps talking about how you can get cheap cards from China but it's all lies, AliExpress should be filled with cheap GPUs right now but the price are fairly the same still, I ordered for 10 GPUs from China, 3060s 1660s and Radeon Vega for ergo mining but only the Vega cards are cheaper, I still buy 1660 for 400$ each and 3060 700$
Patient my friend. It will not go cheap in 1 week. Right now we are in middle of 50/50. Lets see where it goes.
