782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GeForce gts 450 with free electricity what would you mine? on: March 12, 2021, 06:07:21 PM
Server is always running xmrig now at 1585 h/s but I was wondering if I could mine anything with the navidia GeForce gts 450 1gb video card that it has. What alt coin would you try mining in my situation?

Nothing, that card is total trash. Its a crime against nature/the world to waste power on such a shit card.

783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: a new mining setup... on: March 12, 2021, 05:21:17 AM
To be fair with you:
Isn't pretty but the normal solution is: Hp server PSU 1200 watt ( refurbished)+ 12 PCI  Breakout board + cable  for the card
+ a stupid PSU for powering just the risers. We pay electricity more than you do ....  but on top its a very clean installation

So, I will stop the order of the very nice but not so much pcie - happy psu.

The riser is good , btw

Wow  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I have another question

I already ordered the ones from gpurisers.com they run with molex or 6 pin

Can I use the molex coz I have MANY free.molex available...

Any advise appreciated...

Thanks,
Yes you can use. But make sure 1molex to 1 riser.

No way that psu aerocool is crap, dont even try is my advise. Get proper psu.

Dose not https://p trust?
NO NO NO it been told many times NO NO NO it is fake miner
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: March 08, 2021, 07:36:18 AM
Nicehash, please tell us exactly at what time and date did you incorporate the supposedly fake phoenixminer?
Many people have whole disk/partion back ups like Acronis or Aoemi and could wipe and get their pc back minus
a few days or weeks if needed. So when did nicehashminer install the suspected malware?
They will not tell you. I know this if they had proof they would show it in 1st place.

@Phoenix nice to see you and hope this crazy will end very soon.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: March 07, 2021, 03:21:02 PM
I am new to this forum, but shouldn't the autor (by now) be aware of this discussion and respond to the claims of Nicehash ...
Yes exactly and author is silent for a long time. it is not good. I was waiting from Phoenix update his thread and announce for MEGA problem but nothing. It has been more than month nothing.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: March 07, 2021, 11:03:40 AM
My phoenix working normal nothing wrong, i remember once i downloaded wrong from other source then it began working on devfee really bad. i cleaned pc till then it was good lesson. it will be very sad if phoenix also will dissapear like claymore did, and it proofs that phoenix become from claymore because phoenix itself cant do more develops since claymore is gone. there was argue between claymore and phoenix who is from whom stealing.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: March 07, 2021, 10:22:24 AM
That sounds like nicehash downloaded a virus (the fake phoenix miner release) and included it in their packages?
I see no other reason for such panic.

I don't see anyone else except cudo and nicehash panicking about it.

Hope it's just lousy marketing stunt.

it has been long time there is no development from Phoenix.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does repairing your own mining cards stress you out? on: March 06, 2021, 06:29:37 PM
Which country? How we could know where is it? If you have no idea give it to service or people who has experience. You need to be patient and open cards, if card was never opened then you should be more careful to not tear thermal pad, I do my own service and enjoy it always happy to repair any card and give it back to life again.

Yeah, my card was probably already broke.  It stopped posting video.  Probably overheated and died.

I have older 1080ti's I'd like to rehab, and I am not as knowledgeable as someone who does it a lot.

If the card is dead then it is dead, you can't rehab it. The cards do not die from overheating, they shutdown if temp is to high.
And when changing a fan or thermalpad is a pain for you, go out of mining and go fishing or something else.

Sell dead cards on ebay, many people pay much money for dead cards.
Do you know why people by dead cards? It's because they aren't really dead 100%, you even said heats can't kill a gpu? That's wrong mate heat can make gpu chips or memory chip get loosed and will need some resitting with heater to make the gpu start working again
No mate it will not last long dont do that, you will make it worse buy heating. best way is 1st test MATS and other software then reball chip solder back if it is not working then changig chips will help for sure.
Yes i buy dead cards some of them works again some of them dead gpu some of them burnt mosfets some of them just reballing. It is good to have many dead gpus in hand because memory chips and gpu priceless Smiley

If card stopped video out it needs check there is couple reasons, i need to open and run some tests.
Be carefull with 1080ti it has looooooots of thermal pads much more than 1070 try not tear them if you are going to open that one too.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How dose one set up multiple rigs to mine to one wallet? on: March 06, 2021, 02:25:49 PM
Hehe so compute mode was not turned on? i understood this way: he is getting only one rig working on 30mhs.
If you are using phoenix miner then add this : -cclock 1150 -cvddc 950 -mclock 2050 -mvddc 950 -mt 1 -rxboost 1
with this you will get 30 mhs, if it is stable then decrease voltage.

There's no magic in setting up multiple rigs, each one stands on it's own.
You're issue is hash rate. There may be a problem with 1 or all rigs, troubleshoot each
one individually.

You need to provide details of what each one is doing.
Yes he is right. you must give more details about your problem. share all bat files and make screenshot maybe.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ways to make card last longer on: March 05, 2021, 06:13:01 PM
After 4 years of mining on many video cards, fans have broken.
This is what most of my graphics cards look like now.
Some have 2 or 3 external 70-90mm fans

A video card with a Palit Dual cooling system had an anti-record, the fans worked for 18 months
Order some extra fans for them it is not expensive anymore. Also would recommend cpu fans with 4pins that way card can adjust rpm and cooling very good. i spend alot time ago when 1 fan was 20-40$ back then. i replaced with cpu fans.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New RTX 3060 Work Around? on: March 05, 2021, 06:04:08 PM
After people saw that rtx 3060 can pull 48mhs speed im sure there will be hack into bios and achieve that 48mhs later Smiley we will see.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DAG failure on: March 05, 2021, 05:59:40 PM
You overclock the memory clock too much  Angry, careful mate you can end up killing that memory, anything over 2150 Mclock on a rx580 is overkill for the GPU memory, restart your miner if its still the same you will need to restart your PC and go to lower Mclock

many of my gpus have more than 2150 mem clock for over 3 years and they running.
Exactly after years under so much oc it can fail. i keep mine on 2070 and 2050. nearly same what i get with 2100-2150.

Is your all worker names are same?
You can add many rigs as you wish you only need give different worker names. On Phoenix you can just name it after yourwallet.RIGNAME or -worker RIGNAME. Then on ethermine you will see 3 workers working for 1 wallet.
