I heard that new AMD 6600 GPUs are damn good for mining is there anyone on here that have get themselves one ? Also can we get them for MSRP price ? If that's possible won't miners start buying those instead of over priced GPUs
I looked at the prices for these video cards in my country, in stores onga were sold for 650-700 dollars and were quickly sold out. I'm not that AMD fanatic to pay that kind of money for a budget video card. At the manufacturer's MSRP, this is a good buy, but video cards are not available in stores. Probably they were bought by miners directly from the factory. AMD priced rx6600 for 379$ msrp. What a price for entry level card  32mhs card for 379$ Comapnies got very greed |

In phoenix just add this -cclock 1150 -cvddc 900 -mclock 2100 -mvdcc 900 -mt 1 -vmr 30 with this it should give 30mhs
Later you can downvolt more than 900mv test until it crashes also u can use -mt 2 later for faster.
I think teamred miner is better, through HiveOS you can use clock lock and get better performance with amdmemtweak settings, all available in the hive OS, you will also be able to use lesser watt power Can't really switch to hiveOS because I'm running 3060s on the same rig using the nvidia windows 10 beta driver You dont need mod bios. One more question, what would you lower first to drop the temperature a bit with the least possible negative effect on hashrate? Decrease voltage to 880mv if it is not crashing it will lower your temps a bit. Whats your temps now? You can manually add -tt 60 will keep your gpu at 60C |

I'm not sure is gonna be good for mining, the last gpus from amd fail to impress miner, and amd not favor to miner anymore, they focused on gaming, specially they have contract with xbox,sony,valve which is 10x bigger sale than mining industry

Ok so even in hiveos it is not working. It can be power issue. Can you describe what 1000w psu is it? and all cables are good?

Using batsonxl's settings worked, managed to reach 31 mh/s and stabilize the temperature. Thanks a lot!
Glad that worked  Play with it im sure you will get rock solid 30-32mhs easy and power at the wall 120-130w. These cards working till 2016 and still working. AMD makes real cards |

I think 1660 is one of the best options for mining today, and 20 MH/s is not very bad, it is visible maybe you want a lot from the card, given that you wrote the norm for this card.Try updating the drivers to the latest version, although I think you did it.
Ofcourse choice is people. i prefer rx 4xx-5xx and rx 5600 rx 5700 loving them. I forgot along time ago with hassles with gtx 1060. for me gtx 1660 is nearly same with 1060. ti and super has gddr6 memory thats why i recomennded get one of those. |

The problem is with Windows 10 itself,it always had a lot of problems by mining with 12 GPU-s,don't know anyone who has done so for a long time without crashing.A friend of mine though could mine really well with up to 10 GPU-s in such board with Windows 10 and once the 11th and 12th were added it immediately started creating problems,the cards were RX 580 at that time.He tried a lot of things but in the end he switched to HiveOS and his problems immediately disappeared after that.So your best solution would be to migrate to a Linux based OS like the HiveOS.

You are damn wrong, I have a rig with only 1660, I will drop the Hashrate I'm getting with each cards 1. Galax 25MH @ 47watt ( Samsung ) 2. Asus 1660 24.67MH @ 60 watt ( Samsung ) 3. Gigabyte 25.6MH @ 54watt (hynix) 4. Zotac 26MH @ 57watt (hynix) 5. MSI 25MH @ 56 watt ( hynix ) Silicon lottery wins on that Galax GPU, really impressive so I'm guessing that maxsun is just a victim of poor silicon lottery lol, I think OP should try hiveOS there are others using this GPU and their settings are available, just try them out one after the other Dude its 2021 year 20-25 mhs not interesting anymore. it was interesting in 2016. Funny is that they brag about 25 mhs on a 600 usd gpu ehhe, last year a rx 580 was 100 usd and gave 32mhs, gpu from 2016, I guess trolls like to buy things when everybody wants to buy and trust me they will sell when everybody starts selling like crazy and we will see second hand 3070 and 3060ti non lhr around 250 usd next year. Also, many will say next year "i did roi but could not continue mining because profit was negative, so I had to sell my gpu in which I bought for 600 usd for 100 usd", meaning, they did not gain anything in the end plus imagine if they have not sold their coins, that was a double loss ehhe and all the hassle and everything was for nothing. Exactly. Im not buying anything im not in hurry. if gpus are expensive i will buy coins instead, i bought btc at 36k which made more profit than mining in 20days.The whales or who ever controls this market they are very smart people they know our fear and greed. |
