You can believe what you want but you are ignoring how fees affect trading and demand.

Sure a guy with a 50 coin move does not care if he pays 100 usd to move 50 coins.

So much volume is on defi and people are tired of moving 500 usd worth of what ever and paying 100.

So my guess is just as likely to be wrong rather than right but 2 dollar fees will mean lots of 500 usd trades and moves.

Which could raise price.

So if the fee drop moves price to 5k or 6k or 7k  mining profit is good.

Let me say at the moment viabtc is paying 115% on a block

only 15% fee.

When we were hot we were at 231% a 131% fee. this is not going to work long term it will kill trading.

Many are waiting for fees to drop and will trade more.

To give an example I can take 100 usdt on binance.us and trade it back and forth for ltc and in 1 day do 1000 trades making a lot of volume
If I did it with certain eth and DeFi coins fees would eat the trades up and I would do under 25 trades. making less volume.


Now My point is lower fees may rally eth price.  I never said they will.

You are staying that lower fees won't rally eth price.  The only way you can be sure of that is if you have time travel solved.

No it’s definitely not new. I have a very good top indicator that is when I login into bitcointalk and head to the mining section and see brand New accounts asking how they can mine “Bitcoin on their MacBook” or how “They can mine crypto’s on their iPhone”. That’s usually a definite giveaway that we are near a top.

There are so many videos and tutorials on YouTube these days that take you step by step and it’s all you need to watch whether to get in or not but people don’t bother to watch those or do research. The usually just go out and buy $10k’s of computer equipment on Newegg pretty much maxing out their credit cards and a few weeks later they realize that mining isn’t a get rich scheme as they assumed.

The answer will be revealed after July when eip1559 is in motion, how the market will perform is still unknown, this morning the BTC chart looks bullish again like it's going back to 50k but who knows? If bull remains active once again then bears may not find a chance this year

What goes up forever? Nothing I guess so it's stupid to keep buying graphic cards thinking that this present mining reward will be here forever, you will end up been disappointed, GPU mining is here to stay but rewards from here on won't be satisfying so how prepared are you guys? Even ETH going PoS fully this year isn't a joke.

You need to realise that in the past Bitmain built these miners, mined with them for months and then when the profits were decreasing they finally decided to go public and sell the miners.

This is what happened with the E3 that bitmain released, the very first ETH ASIC. They pretty much released it after the peak. How long did they mine with them prior? Probably for months. And this explains why in late 2017 we had a huge difficulty jump that nobody could explain.

So just because they are building ASICs for it doesn't mean that it has to be always profitable.

Keep mining with whatever GPU you have right now and if you have to sell your GPU don't get rid of everything yet because the massive GPU selloff might not happen very soon, probably coming year?

How much of this hashrate do ASICs or fpga take?
Ethereum 2.0 hasn't even been tested yet. It is possible to increase the time frame for changing the algorithm.
Perhaps the developers have not yet prepared a new coin for miners
