Weird I have 6 mixed rigs 4/8 GB cards and it works.
Launch list-device in the same directory of trm and figure out at what position TRM see the your 8gb ---- X---
insert
-d x -d"space"x
and it doesn't work ?
If not start TRM mining RVN with ALL the card
This works?
The list-device.bat file showed the 8gb card is under number 4. The -d 4 command I use with space, and all cards are mining 🤔 Can you post your device list here both trm and phoenix? |

Can someone tell me what is the current recommended driver for AMD RX480 8GB cards to be used with PhoenixMiner?
read 1st page phoenix publish. I used 20.4.2 now 20.11.1 very good using for rx480 an navi gpus |

I prefer any card right now  it is impossible find, it is possible if you pay 3x 4x price, Best cards for in my opinion is rx 470/480/570/580 8g rx 5600/5700 gtx 3060ti and gtx 3080 all You can't find any gpu right now until this bull season is over, buying cards at a high price for mining is already too late so it's better to wait till bear market gets here before building any mining rigs Yeah i know it will be stupid pay 500$ for rx580. instead i can use that money buying coins and earn more than mining in 2-3 weeks. |

Im not expert but it looks good for alts right now ofcourse btc also can show some stuff too.Im holding ltc.eth.beam.RVN I dont have much but happy for me. There is no time like 6-8 months it all depends market pulls money out. Big wales starts move then it crashes anytime that no one can say. Since no one can say I'm guessing you are closely watching the whole market?I suggest you exit if you've make enough, I was holding Vechain but when it pump to 17cent I decide to quit, I'm got enough and I don't want to be too greedy, obviously I've met my target 🎯🎯🎯 Yes lately watching whole market and it is kinda interesting. Agree greed kills everything glad you found your target. i learnt how not to loose coins, there is function stop limit. You write your limit and it sells your coins if crashes. To bad that nobody told me that i sold many eth but happy not feeling any lost, im thankful for ethereum for these gifts. |

Hi, thanks for your help. I have read about selecting the only cards to work, but I could not configure it to the end.
So, for RVN, I use the Nbminer. I have set the value "-d 0,1,2,3" and it excluded the 8gb card from mining. All works grate.
As for the ETH, I use the Phoenix Miner. The miner works grate, but if I change the config file, and add the value "-gpus 4" (tried 5, tried <4>, tried <5>, and other ways) the card is not being selected alone. Also with this value added, the miner crashes, and the rig restarts, regardless if Phoenix is working alone or together with the Nbminer.
ok turn off nbminer and run phoenix with -bench then look cards 1,2,3,4,5 when you choose correct it should work. 1 of my rigs i have 4g and 8g. i use teamredminer and phoenix. TRM like this --device 1,4 but in phoenix -gpus 1,3,4,6,7,8,9 as you can see they can be different. im using like this many months now no issue. |

Im still new to mining and only got basic stuff atm but Ive been trying to figure out stale shares for ages....
I hope I not doing anything wrong.
With Phoenix Miner and 6800xt on Ethermine it says I get 18-20% stale shares on the miner but when I check the logs on website its always way less like maybe 3% or lower.
I just use clkernel 0 since thats all I can get to work. Is this something I can fix?
On my other PC I have 3070 and 1070 Phoenix miner almost never reports any stales (maybe less then 1%), logs on website maybe show 1-2% normally.
I got 2 more 3070s coming one day.
Also Ive tried a few pools with the 6800xt but most of them are worse, Im in Australia so theres really no good ping servers.
Ethermine asia thou I get 160ms share returns so I just have to put up with that. us1, us2 same most of time but at times got 600ms returns so just stick with asia now.
160ms not best ofcourse but acceptable. try not OC 6800 too much. i dont have 6800 but it looks like something wrong with mining there. Read what phoenix says about it, it is new card and may need some specific driver. Maybe you have latest driver which can be problem. Dont hurry to use new drivers just give a time for miner developers to adapt miner for new driver. And follow people who used it. |

Hello! One of my rigs has a problem with 2-3 of 5 geforce gtx1060 cards. Everytime I start the miner I get the error: "unable to get temperature" I already made newest version of drivers and phoenixminer. How can I solve this problem ? Thanks for help downgrade your driver. Better look what phoenix recommends. It means 5.5c not supporting that driver. |

It will stop in simple crash just simple like that. No more hashrate grow because it will reach the point were mining gets not profitable, it is like summer and winter. in winter you must survive. Even big mining farms will stop mining because even for them it will not be enough pay bills. I hope it will not crash because i really want last bull market long as possible.

How many you got of those 580s? If it is 1 piece then dont bother looking for bios because saving 5w less will not bring you big thing and waste your time.
You can achieve 30.5mhs without mod and low consumption. What miner do you use?

This is just what I experienced. Selling an Nvidia GPU is just much much easier than and AMD GPU, at least the low end models. Of the few Nvidia GPUs that I’ve owned in the past I remember selling them was a breeze even during a bear market where the classifieds were overflowing with GPUs.
Nvidia usually also historically seems to hold their value better. Think of Nvidia like a Honda or Toyota, they hold their value well. AMD on the other hand are like luxury cars like BMW or Mercedes value quickly drops dramatically when a new model comes out.
Like I said before. It might be different in your area but this is just something that I’ve experience first hand.
I agree gtx 1050TI/1060 3g/6g sold very fast but 1070 was bit hard to sell. even harder was selling rx470 4g. |

Looks like you have problem with windows.Ok sometimes windows really can cause headache when especially it is updates itself. If you have time install fresh windows disconnect internet and disable update and defender then try again. if you can connect only 1gpu to 16x rest keep on risers. you may run out of pcie lanes if you use 16x slots
Also you can use hiveos from usb disk without windows install at all.

hi guys
i have a rig that has 4 gpu with 4gb and 4 8gb
i set teamredminer for 4gb (with -d command)
but command -gpus does not work for 8gb properly
is there any confilict with this two miner?
No there is no conflict. Make sure you are choosing right gpus. Turn of trm for second and write -bench on phoenix there you will see all 4 gpus look which is 8g then choose right ones. |
