what do you think about use nVidia GTX 1070 for Raven coin mining?
Will it be profitable to buy for about 500USD/item and with energy from solar panels - average price about 0.08usd/kwh
Myself i will not buy for that price, that 1070 was around 160-220$. it is better wait, gpus will not be this expensive forever. For 1-1.5$ a day on raven for 500$ plus 0.08$ electricity it is insane. If gpu's will be cheaper mining income will be much lower... I have another Raven mining question, is it possible to mine Raven with 4GB RAM AMD RX cards? Is it much more unefficient than 8gb version? Yes you can. i have 2 rx 470 4g cards left they are on raven doing 11-12mhs each with 120-130w on the wall. |

You heard wrong, there are some motherboards that won't be needing any BIOS mod or updates to detect all graphics cards onboard, I have two separate rigs here that I don't even look into it's BIOS name at all because it detect all 6 cards with no issue
I do hope am wrong and ur right! But I started with my asus x99 deluxe, crappy board if u ask me ! Couldn't get more than 1x gpu (1080 ti) to run on it, adding my other 3060 ti (even one) will make the screen go black once in windows ! Some pcie slots on that board won't even allow os to boot ! Bad start if u ask me !... Strange i have little brother of yours x79 from msi with 3930k, it is running very well with 4gpu.I never change anything in the bios of that,i just keep adding and it worked always. 5gpu i did not tried because i dont have space. About server boards i think you will need both cpu installed otherwise some pcie lanes may not detect (im not sure so search it) r u having 4 GPUs on risers ? and YES i have both CPUs installed on the server board Yes 3 gpus are on risers 1 gpu on 1st 16x slot because this mobo and cpu dont give onboard vga. Psu is 1000w crappy huntek sliver psu but working. |

Rig working few hours,and then one of gpu lose mhs..example 55mhs to 0 mhs..and show like gpu is dead..!! I check risers one by one works well..stock gpu work some period and again on 0 mhs..undervoltage as well ..if i put 4 of them..then works without problem..
This happens when you either overclock or undervolt too much. Try dialing it back a bit on the GPU that is failing. Yes correct, add some mv until it is stable |

Exactly like that..i already start to mine ETH,with riser and 5x 5700xt 1000w and overclock undervolting ..i get so many issues..so i ask for help..best option and to resolve problem

I spent money on three gtx1660 ti for 430$ each from china and I've only make 150$ back today, I'm worried when will I break even because so many people told me I did the wrong thing, they told me bear market is that I will never make my money back, is this true?
Depends on how much you pay for electricity. If you have free electricity, you will definitely break even eventually. It may take longer for you to break even, but it will happen. Yes exactly it depends on bill you pay. |

Having trouble getting my rx 570 8gb Pulse with Samsung memory stable. Using Windows 10
Use 1 click BIOS editor, flash, then Phoenixminer to change clocks/volts
I have tried 1130-1150/850 and 2050-2100/860 and none of the times stay stable with a Blue screen hanging in the driver. All seem to run 5-60 minutes.
Any suggestions? Never had a 570 outside of these paramaters unstable unless going higher but 1130/2050 are my beginning settings.

When bear market comes there is less high difficultly rate on ethereum mining right? Why can't one keep on mining for holding sake? You get better sats and the only thing that's wrong here is value, less value in dollars isn't it? There are some who mine and hold in bear markets and sell in bull market, I think they are the real winner, though still electricity bills must be very cheap to make this possible
You realise that buying coins on bear market is cheaper than mining it right? Bear market is negative profits and negative profits is where buying coins is better than mining, actually in my view buying coins is better even if eth mining gives you at least a dollar per card, know why? the hassle mining is, is just not worth mining for scraps. The greatest winners here are the one who buy coins in the bear market. Hmm so selling GPU seem like the only best choice right now but I don't want to sell mine, I want to keep mining for that pennies and accumulating till the next few years comes and another bull season begins, also my electricity bill is very cheap too, I run on solar and grid around the clock No one knows what exactly happens. So far i see only good option is buying coins instead mining. Till next bull season maybe 3-4 years and on this period eth may go POS and also there new ASICS are killing ETH mining too bla bla bla only headache. and also there is possiblity there will be new gpus new stuff, no one knows. |

You shouldn't be building any mining rigs if you aren't fully ready for the both sides, it's assured that ethereum won't be profitable forever that's why it's always smart to build rigs before bull starts but still if you are already in this mess there isn't any reason to be panic, who says that the bullrun is over anyways? Keep mining and let's see what's coming

Yeah it used to be 4-5$ per rig (180mhs) people saw 1 3060 making 8$ they run to store and empty, all scalpers now happy also nvidia also happy sayin woooow we did again. Exactly, not joking, i see shops where I live pricing a 3060ti at 1500 usd and they are selling them as fast as they get, insanity, even the non ti 3060 are sold for 1200 usd now, anyway, I know where this will end, and will not be pretty. All risers works with any of 6 cards as long as i use 4 cards , as soon as i addn 5'th one al go to shit ;p
2x chiftec Polaris 650W PSU Gold, both works, i can connect MB + 4 GPU's to 1'st one or MB + 2 GPU's to 1'st one and other two GPU's from 2'nd PSU all works, i tried dozens of PCIe slots + PSU combos in various setups and al works as long as i use 4 cards
Will try on Monday (got rig installed in office) to re flash, reset it to factory and set up again one by one.
ok explain connection of 2 psu(using add2psu or cable)? How did you feed gpus? make sure that riser and gpu feeding from same PSU.i will recommend 3gpu per psu. That one not very well psu but it will work. |

Yes it came with newest bios flashed already. I 1'st assembled MB with cpu, memory and SDD, run it with iGPU, installed system (win 10) and all updates, then started adding cards one by one with all settings in bios made as described it setup guides. it works with 4 cards but wont start with 5'th one added.

It came with newest bios available, i started installing cards with gen 1 and checked each time in GPUZ and it showed cards are running gen 1.1 at x1 pcie speed
Anyway I ordered other motherboard + CPU set (Asus B365 + Intel G5420) to check if MB is faulty before i can return it to seller.
Strange. ok reflash bios again download from source. then try enable and disable mining mod. mine working on mining mod disabled. try gen1 and gen2 also. are allrisers working? Whats your PSU? |

Hello everyone. I've been having issues starting my PhoenixMiner 5.5.c. I have an Acer Predator 15 shitting around at my house and thought to put it in some use and make some profit out of it. It has Graphics Card GeForce GTX 970M, Driver Version 461.72, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7- 6700HQ CPU @ 2.60 GHz 2.60 GHz, 6GB VRAM. The error that I am getting is the following:
"GPU1 CUDA error in CudaProgram.cu:465 : the launch timed out and was terminated (702)
GPU1 GPU1 search error: the launch timed out and was terminated
wdog Fatal error detected. Restarting."
I saw in the begging of the thread that there are some issues with the newer version of NVDIA and that is why I picked the newer version of PhoenixMiner but still I got this message. I downgraded the driver version to 442.19 and to 457.51 but I got the same thing with both of them. I tried to get an even older driver but couldn't get it installed. I tried with an older version of PhoenixMiner but nothing again.
I saw online someone talking about a motherboard issue maybe be the cause. But I haven't noticed any issues when I used it as a gaming laptop.
Does anyone have an idea of what the cause of the error is?
Beside this, as a trying to be miner, I believe the Phoenix team has done a great job to.

What are you mining?ETH? if it is gtx970m not able to mine due to dag size(and it is notebook). look for other coins like rvn or beam. If you are new just donload nicehash it will automaticaly show you what can be mined.if i were you i wouldnt hussle because that notebook will not bring.good luck |
