1381  Local / Développement et technique / Re: Installer un nœud Lightning Network sur Bitcoin on: July 31, 2023, 03:38:49 PM
Bonjour,

This asic, with its power supply, has a maximum consumption of 120 watts
1 x Power Adapter DC 12V/10A.
6 X GekkoScience COMPAC F 2.1+TH/S
The Compac F Is The Most Powerful USB Bitcoin Miner Ever Made – That Actually Turns A Profit In Most Cases. This Rig Includes Active Air Cooling On Each Miner. Those Miners Can Peak Much Higher Wattage Compared To The Older Version.

Please don't post this link, it is a well known scam : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436634.msg61650149#msg61650149

Sous ''Bump the Fee''

Possible to give some help to confirm this tx ?

Thank you!

I can offer same value 5$ as USDT as collateral

Yeah but the network fees would make your loan really unprofitable, don't you think so ? What are you searching ? BTC ?

1389  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: USB Mining on: July 31, 2023, 09:02:53 AM
I read in the specifications that the overclocking limit is 1.1th and the manufacturer does ot guarantee stable operation with such overclocking.
Let's do a little math. I buy 3 ASIC BITMAIN AntMiner S9 14th for $100 and start mining on one ASIC in solo. For a year I will pay 400 dollars for electricity. And I'll buy a good noisebox for $200. After 2 years, I will get tired of the experiment and I will lose $1100, but I will still have AntMiner S9 bricks and noisebox Smiley
I think the buyer of Terminus R606 will lose more money if this ASIC costs $400.

People who turn to small USB-type ASICs don't think like that. They want no noise, and minimal power consumption. Basically, they're letting your Asics USB sleep like a permanent lottery ticket.
S9s consume a lot more energy, and (for example) no European (or almost no European) would want them, because the lottery ticket would be too expensive. What's more, as mikeywith said, even with a box, they're still infinitely noisier than USBs. Their PSU alone is louder than a USB miner.

Those who buy USB miners are not in a race for efficiency and are not necessarily looking for the lowest price per Th/s. They are looking for an opportunity to mine solo in a symbolic way, without the constraints of a conventional ASIC.
1390  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How can i start bitcoin mining? on: July 30, 2023, 09:05:14 PM
5️⃣ Install mining software on your system.

You don't need to install any "mining software" on your system, what are you talking about ?

Please, read before replying, I don't need comments that are off point lol.

Yeah yeah yeah, as Nwada001 said, you should consider creating self-moderated topics, or creating topics which are simply not based on speculation that attracts sig spammers, don't you think?

Now with the recent events that have taken place, we all can see the bull rising off the dusts, we can almost tell it's about to happen again, maybe by next year or two.  Huh

I would love to know you all's predictions for the next bull. I'm thinking anywhere around $100,000? May looking at how far the previous bull runs were able to reach, I think that would be a good price to place it 😊👍, but I'm still open to whatever wild opinions you all may have. Roll Eyes

No one knows anything about it, and no one will ever know anything about the future price of BTC. We're not able to see the future, nor the actuality events which are going to happen, and even if the next halving approaches, no one can guarantee 100% that a bull run will happen again in reality.

1395  Other / Off-topic / Re: Modelling Satoshi's forum account with AI on: July 29, 2023, 09:13:26 AM
If Satoshi was among us today or if an AI account was created with his forum posts, what would he tell us about current issues? Sometimes when I read current news, I ask myself what Satoshi would say if he were among us.

No one can pretend to know what he would think or say.

About the AI, some people have created this AI : https://www.talk2satoshi.com/, which pretends to simulate Satoshi's replies based on his messages.
I think it's incomplete and bad, but if you're interested, you can have a look...

1397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a best way of withdrawing profits from exchanges? on: July 28, 2023, 03:34:39 PM
2024/25 will be my first bull run and up till now all I have been doing is buying have yet to sell anything for cash.

"Don't count your chickens before they're hatched."

I know that halving is approaching and that historically the following year after each halving is positive for BTC's rate, but you should never take a bull run as a foregone conclusion before it is actually there.

Is there a best/cheapest way of withdrawing profits to bank?

As OmegaStarScream wrote, some P2P could be a nice solution. You can take a look on Bisq, Peachbitcoin, Agoradesk, or find someone who wants to buy some BTC with cash for example. But in all cases, these solutions also contain fees.
Some CEXs offer withdrawals with limited fees, so you need to do your own market research when it comes to exchanging your funds for FIAT. Depending on the fiat currency you wish to obtain, the fees are not the same.

Like the others, I'd like to add that you should never store your funds with a CEX. If you don't want to buy a hardware wallet, Electrum is an excellent free & open source wallet for BTC. You need to own your private keys, that's all that really matters.
1398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Empty block? on: July 28, 2023, 11:47:39 AM
Hello. Yesterday, I saw this block: https://mempool.space/block/00000000000000000002645fd352bc274f017d8473992018dfd5326a52de2d53

It seems strange, since it's empty. I have observed that it was mined just 1 minute after the previous block was mined.

Mempool.space give this description for empty blocks:

Quote
When a new block is found, mining pools send miners a block template with no transactions so they can start searching for the next block as soon as possible. They send a block template full of transactions right afterward, but a full block template is a bigger data transfer and takes slightly longer to reach miners.

In this intervening time, which is usually no more than 1-2 seconds, miners sometimes get lucky and find a new block using the empty block template.

I don't understand though, does that mean that miners' mempools were totally empty and they didn't include any transactions? Or the interval time between the blocks was just 1-2 seconds and therefore, there wasn't enough time to include transactions?

This subject was discussed many times here on the forum.
o_e_l_e_o already gave you all the necessary informations, but if you want, you can still read the following topics if you want more informations and details about it :

0 transaction block which is one of the most recent topic talking about empty blocks.

Why not to mine on pools mining empty blocks, and why do pools mine empty blocks : this topic from kano is very informative from a technical point of view

Why did miners waste much block space when there is need

1400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why non-trader beginners prefer to leave their BTC on CEX? on: July 28, 2023, 11:30:13 AM
What do I mean?
More than 80% of newbies in cryptocurrency joined from exchanges. I mean their first wallet is an exchange. It will be difficult to leave the exchange. Another African adage supports this, that, "No one learns how to use the left hand at old age"

Of course, but by educating themselves on the subject, people can still consider owning their own private keys, even if they started out using a CEX as a wallet.

"We've always done it this way" is probably one of the worst mottos possible to have in mind in the cryptocurrencies world. Keeping yourself informed, and understanding what you're doing is more than important when it comes to crypto or finance.

A part of the essence of Bitcoin is to own your funds for real. So even if you're just starting out on a CEX, if you do the minimum amount of researches on the subject, you'll quickly understand that it's neither smart to persist in this way, nor in your own best interests.
