Oh no! It doesn't match the picture!

Big macs don't either. Do people get refunds from mcdonalds?

I can walk into McDonalds right now, buy a big mac, and walk out feeling like I got something for my money.  If I had to wait 10+ months for a big mac, I'd be pissed.

Bump, and restated asking price in $ instead of LTC because of the LTC rocket ship.

1988  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 7 BFL singles on: March 28, 2013, 01:15:13 AM
i will consider meeting you face to face. if you want to try something funny be prepared for the worst.

This would make me 110% unwilling to meet face to face.  Threatening someone to "be prepared for the worst" tells me that you will go into the meeting on-edge, and ready to lash out at any moment if you thought something was awry.  Anyone in their right mind wouldn't take the risk in meeting with this guy.

The fact that you say you're going to pay back every penny that you swindled and scammed is one thing.  Actually doing that is another.  Verifiable transaction IDs or it didn't happen.

[edit] Knowing now that this guy is a known scammer, and he lied and concealed this fact under the premise of trying to sell more equipment(possibly another scam), why hasn't his Rockso account been labeled as such as well?
1989  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 7 BFL singles on: March 26, 2013, 07:49:45 PM
Kudos to Qbert, and others, on the detective work.  I was semi-interested in this post when it first went up, but I've been following the turn of events since then.  Thank god for the scammer tag on this site.  It's just too bad you can't autotag accounts based on IP or such.  I wonder how many "Rockso" accounts there are out there.
1990  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Colloidal Silver - 750ml on: March 16, 2013, 02:48:40 PM
Colloidal silver is used widely in the marijuana growing community.  Colloidal silver is used to produce pollen sacs on a female plant that will carry female chromosomes, not male.  So they then pollinate the plants with the female chromosome pollen and produce feminized seeds.

Colloidal silver is very easy to make.  Sure, you can have different types with all different types of purity.  But when it boils down to it, you could do it yourself with a silver coin, a glass of water, and a 9V battery. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=60610&highlight=colloidal+silver
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is BTC-E down? on: March 16, 2013, 01:49:01 AM
If you guys are wondering if BTC-E.Com is down, you can use a site like www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com or www.isup.me.  I've had a hell of a time connecting at work.  I emailed support to whitelist my static IP.  I've unblocked half of Russia in our firewall.  If I use a proxy site, I can get to it... but it's not pretty.  Once or twice I got the site to load sans proxy, but it didn't last all day.

I could be 100% wrong on this one, but I think they might be doing round robin DNS, and bouncing the website IP around to thwart would be DDOS.  Two or three times today, I got a different IP/country for the website, which might support this idea.  Of course, I'm a complete moron when it comes to the finer intricacies of networking... so it could just be gremlins too.  But maybe that's why it's up and down for some people.
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $500+ bounty for litecoin 51% attack on: March 16, 2013, 01:36:04 AM
I will pledge negative $500 to this noble cause. So now the total bounty is $0. Any takers?

I pledge another negative $500, so when anyone does this they will owe me money.
1993  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 3D Printed Bitcoin Simulacra. on: March 08, 2013, 03:52:58 AM
That's a really cool idea!  I'm bitcoin broke, but I'd probably buy one if I was planning on an offline wallet.  I love NFC stuff.

1997  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] 5850/5870 via paypal < $95 shipped (PURCHASED) on: March 07, 2013, 03:26:45 AM
Greetings all... as stated in title, I would like to purchase a 5850 or a 5870, in good condition, via PayPal for less than $95, shipped, ASAP.  I have a 7950 currently mining litecoins, and I would like to give it a little brother/sister.

If I had the coins I would send coins, but I'm new to mining.  Price is firm, as that's what wife says I can do via paypal right now.  Tony Danza ain't got nothing on her!

PM me if you have something to offer.

[Edit]  I should also note that shipping is to Central California.

Taco, you saying this isn't legit?

I've sent an email as ManOfKnight requested, but I haven't heard back.  I've also PMd him, with no response.  Unless I hear back today or early tomorrow, I'm going to retract my offer, as I am trying to find an additional card ASAP.

2000  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Recommend me a card $300 range on: March 06, 2013, 04:58:04 PM
The Gigabyte 7950 is pretty good.  I bought one to mine with, and it gets decent hash rates.  It's a 7.9 in windows performance index, and plays everything I throw at it at high-ultra settings, depending on resolution.  Best thing is that at 99% load and overclocked to 1100-1150 on the core, it rarely gets above 66 degrees with the fan at ~70%.  At idle it's 33 degrees.  Best thing about it is it is quiet as all hell.  At 70% fan it's what my crappy 8800gtx used to sound like at 50% load.

define "decent hash rates" im thinking about buying one

Around 575-590MH/s @1120 w/ 70%fan at 66 degrees on 50btc.com.  I've seen it spike up to 610-620 on the charts at those settings, but I've never tinkered with getting to run consistently at those speeds.  I've recently moved over to Litecoin, where I'm getting about 540KH/s, but haven't been able to go higher because of the rest of the system bottleneck.  The card is the newest thing in my rig for the last 4-5 years, so a complete CPU/MB/Ram upgrade might get me a little higher.

I love the card, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking at that price point.
