1881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAG] TAGMining.Com- Block rewards. *0% for the month* Veteran rewards! on: November 11, 2013, 03:46:52 PM
We've found our 5th block.  I've found it, which means there are still 7 block finder rewards up for grabs.

With these block rewards, the veterans rewards, and the normal block payouts, there is a lot of TAG up for grabs with TAGMining.Com.  Why mine anywhere else?

1882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAG] TAGMining.Com pool. Block finder rewards! **0% until December** on: November 10, 2013, 10:51:13 PM
To all miners, old and new... I have decided on another 2 block rewards for the pool.

  • Anyone that finds 5 blocks on the pool will be rewarded with a one time veteran's reward of 25TAG.
  • If you find more than 10 blocks on the pool, you receive permanent 0% pool fees.

This in addition to any block rewards you could claim in the next 7 blocks, and your round earnings, this would be a pretty decent payout for anyone mining on Tagmining.com.

The 25TAG veteran's reward will be paid when the user's 5th block is confirmed.

If there's any questions, feel free to PM me.

@ny2cafuse, Mr TagMining, what's a good GPU or FPGA for this coin? Maybe someone is selling those cheap now.

FPGA probably isn't a good idea until the FPGA scrypt units are out(horus being the top choice I would think).  I run 7950s and they work pretty well.  I'm down 3 right now while I'm waiting on my buddy to get them set up at his place... lazy bastard.

lol... mr tagmining... classy.
1884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin - Released on: November 09, 2013, 05:05:29 PM
I did similar promotion to attract miner to TAG.  For the first 100 blocks, giving out 10 TAG bonus to miner for each block they find.
With TAG at this level, I might buy some more TAG for the pool to increase bonus to 200 blocks.  Plus with PPS, miners don't have to wait for the 200 confirmations to get their rewards.   Smiley

Just found blocks 4140 and 4141.   Grin

-tb-

Kudos, mate.  That's a pretty sweet bonus for your miners.  I can't match giving out 2000TAG, but I'll do my best to keep up with you guys  Grin

@ny2cafuse - cannot replicate what you described, but passed it on the my devs to look at money morning and dig into it..Wink

Might just be me, but this is what I'm seeing:

It only comes up when on the photo gallery tab.
1885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin - Released on: November 09, 2013, 03:57:37 PM
Hey, Mark... found another quirk that you may want to look at on Tagbond.  When on the dashboard, if you click on the profile's "photo gallery" tab, you ge a navigation tab for RFID.  But if you click on it, it brings you back to the profile page, and you won't see the RFID navigation tab option again until you click back on "photo gallery".

Everyone else, I've set the fees for Tagmining.com to 0% until December 1st.  While I hope this will bring more users to the pool, my overall intention is to bring more miners back to TAG.  I hope other pool operators consider it as well.  Maybe if we can get miners back, we can get these confirm times down back.  A guy can hope, right...
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAG] TAGMining.Com pool. Block finder rewards! on: November 09, 2013, 03:29:42 PM
Grats to Johndec for finding another 2 blocks and claiming another 10TAG in finder's rewards!  Keep it up, mate!

The pool fee has been reduced to 0% until the end of the month.  Donations are welcomed, but not necessary.  While I hope it will bring more people to the pool, my main concern will be that it brings the miners back to Tagcoin.  With all the developments with Tagbond and Tagcash, this is an exciting time for the TAG community.  Come be a part of something that isn't just another pump and dump crapcoin.

Thanks,

Fuse
1887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAG] TAGMining.Com pool. 30TAG to first block finder still up for grabs!!! on: November 08, 2013, 02:50:55 PM
Double WooHoo!  I got the very next block. WE ARE ON FIRE!  So much for bad luck. What comes around goes around.  Tongue  After all that waiting, 2 blocks in a row.

Plus I get the 30 TAG reward as the first block finder. All those miners that abandoned the pool, read the fine print in the OP  Grin

Grats, Johndec!  Payment incoming within the hour.

The next 4 blocks reward 5TAG each.  Good luck to anyone mining!
1888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAG] TAGMining.Com pool. *Back up* Rewards still up for grabs! on: November 08, 2013, 12:09:15 AM
The 4 round compensation has been paid to those of you who had wallet addresses listed on your accounts.  You should receive a payment to your wallet shortly.  It will be 4 times what you would have made this round, rounded up to the nearest whole number, minus a 0.01TAG transfer fee.  Those of you that had payouts less than 1TAG will be compensated normally when a block is found.

I will be contacting one or two of you to get your wallet address.

*ALSO*

With the difficulty at a nice low number right now, I will be upping the reward for the first block found to 30TAG.  You will be paid the reward when the block is found and confirmed.  The other 9 block rewards will remain the same for the time being, and will be paid in full when the 10th block is confirmed.

Good luck, and thanks for mining with us!

Thanks Fuse.  Grin

No, thank you.  I just want to make sure I do right by you guys.

TAGMining.Com is back up, per the post at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=324938.msg3512009#msg3512009.

*Also*

The 4 round compensation has been paid out, per the post at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=324938.msg3514780#msg3514780

I will be upping the reward for the first block found to 30TAG.  With the difficulty where it's at right now, this is a good opportunity to earn a nice reward for mining with us.

Thanks,

Fuse
1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAG] TAGMining.Com pool. *Back up* Rewards still up for grabs! on: November 07, 2013, 07:06:00 PM
The pool is back up and operational.  After a conversation with Torzy, I have investigated the stratum issues I thought the pool was having.  After parsing through the log files again, it looks like everything was set up correctly, but we were just that unlucky.  I have made a change to the pool difficulty, and it is now 128.

My original statement of paying past miners still stands.  So if you were mining on the pool, please make sure your wallet address is listed by 4PM PST.  I will be sending payments by 5PM.

Thanks,

Fuse

If you were mining on TAGMining.Com, please check the post @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=324938.msg3505730#msg3505730.

The pool is currently down ATM.  I will be updating the status in the pool thread at the posted link.

If you have any questions, please PM me.

Thanks,

1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAG] TAGMining.Com pool. Block finder rewards! 20TAG to first found block! on: November 07, 2013, 05:16:41 AM
I apologize for the extended downtime.  After parsing through the logs, it appears that there was an issue with stratum.  I am working at getting it resolved right now.

For the time being, pool mining will be down until further notice.  I could keep it up with long-polling, but I would rather make sure everything is up and running properly.

I know a handful of miners came out and threw some hashing power at the pool.  I want to make sure that I am doing right by them, so if you were mining on the pool, please make sure you update your wallet address on your account.  I will be manually paying out 4 rounds worth of TAG coins by the end of the day today (it is currently 8:24AM PST) for anyone that was mining on the pool.  The payout will be based on what your payout would have been had the pool been operating normally.

I am dedicated to making this pool work.  I know I can't do that without the support of the miners.  I appreciate your time, and I hope that once everything is squared away, you'll come back to mine with me.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

Fuse

TagMining.Com will be going down for about 20 minutes for maintenance.

I will update this post when it's back up and running.

We're still looking for that first block... point a miner or two at our pool, and try your luck at getting that 20TAG finder's reward.  There's a total of 50TAG up for grabs for the first 10 block finders.

Come mine with us!

Is it necessary to build a new coin for rewards? So is it necessary to build a new coin for coffee, another one for bread, another one for lunch?

Besides, I can't find anything new/innovative in tagbond, just the invented Scrypt PoW and PoS.

If you don't believe that TAG is doing something different, then why did you post your TAG ID in this thread to get your free TAG coins?

Come on people!  tagmining.com is offering 20TAG for the first block found!  That's over a days mining reward to a mug punter like me... My lousy 1.4 m/hs has me near the top of the tree there.  If you don't get in I'll (eventually) clean up  Grin

Thanks for the support, Johndec.  The 20TAG reward for first block is still up for grabs, if anyone is interested.

*Torzy, I hear ya, mate.  I started a LTC mining pool way too late, and ended up shutting down for lack of support.  TBH, I'd rather run a pool than miners, although it's getting cold here now, and my puny little rig is keeping the front of my house above freezing at night  Smiley.

*Tagbond, kudos on the video.  It was simple and concise. +1, mate.

Fee is now lowered to 1% on http://tag.cryptominer.net/ Smiley

As I dont have mining rigs anymore, any donations would be appreciated. Thanks, and happy mining! Grin

Yeah, well Tagmining.com has free cake for it's miners.  Ok, ok... the cake is a lie.  How do I compete? lol...

I'll buy half your pool's hash power in exchange for my first born child.  Let me just clear it with the wife first.

@mobGod - Well, yes, kind of...Smiley..but the verification system is part of TAG anyway.. the system is used s a membership platform, for entry access etc, so if a company wants to use it that way, people are already pre verified by us to a certain extent...
As for the exchange, it is in beta at the moment, if anyone wants to see it while we test it, then PM me..Smiley.. we need to iron out a a few things.. we are using the bter licensed  exchange engine so it looks pretty much the same as theirs, but with 9 Fiat currencies and 2 cryptos (BTC and TAG).

+1 for not reinventing the wheel on the exchange.
1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Jackpot system! on: November 05, 2013, 03:56:25 PM
THE WEEKLY JACKPOT SYSTEM

Update- Users who chose to be anonymous do not get recorded in the round tables with their user name, and therefore do not get tallied at the end of the week.  If you want to be eligible for the jackpot, your account needs to not be anonymous.

I have decided to discontinue the 5 block and 10 block veterans rewards.  You still have until the end of November to claim them, but starting December 1st, they will no longer be honored.  However, they will be replaced with a site-wide weekly jackpot system.  The first jackpot drawing will be held on December 7th, and will be for the prior week starting December 1st.  Specific jackpot details are outlined below:

A weekly drawing will be had, where 100TAG will be split up and given to three random miners every Saturday.  If the pool runs into issues during the week, either global TAG issues or extended pool downtime, the 100TAG will remain in the pool's jackpot fund to carry over until the next week.  There will be a first, second, and third place prize of 50%, 30%, and 20% of the jackpot total.

To be considered for the jackpot, you have to have submitted shares to at least 75% of the blocks mined that week, from 00:00AM UTC Sunday Morning until 12:00PM Saturday afternoon.  I know that's 12 hours shy of a full week, but I'd rather do this Saturday afternoon, than Sunday morning.  I'm sure you'll understand.  I believe this requirement to be fair.  It benefits any miner that sticks with the pool through the week, from the 20MH/s mining farm to the guy mining on an Nvidia GTX 8800.  In addition, if you win a jackpot one week, you can not win the next week's jackpot.  You can however win the jackpot the following week.

For now the drawings will be done manually by me.  I will go through the round tables and find the miners who have met the above requirement.  The users are then put into a spreadsheet, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are chosen via a random number function.  When I have the time to sit down and bust out some code, I will make this automated on the site with a running list of who is eligible for that week's drawing.  At least that's how I see it in my head.  If anyone has advanced PHP,SQL and pool backend experience, I might be interested in hiring someone to write the code for this.  Just shoot me a PM.

Any miners caught exploiting the system in any way will have their accounts deleted from the pool, and their outstanding balances on the pool will be taken away.

These rules are subject to change.  What works now might not work a month from now.

If anyone has any questions or suggestions, feel free to let me know via a thread reply or PM.

Thanks for mining with the pool, and as always... GOOD LUCK, MINERS!

-Fuse
