Holy shite.... wife just called to tell me I got the gigabyte cards already.  I ordered them 26 hours ago.  Best Amazon seller ever lol.

FYI... Amazon has stock on those gigabyte 270X cards again.  Seems like that guy is just churning through inventory.  I'm halfway tempted to buy another 6.... sooooo tempting.

Damn Fedex is a day minumum behind the two other deliveries coming today.  All ordered same day, but Fedex is shipping the MBs and PSUs.  I hate Fedex.

The IcyHash pool has been closed due to excessive harassment and continuing DDOS attacks. There is no point in me implementing the DDOS protection even though I already have it. Take your hashes somewhere else, I don't want to bother wasting my time anymore. To those who were using the pool in an honest way, I apologize. The rest of you are rude and arrogant. Have a nice day.

If you're going to insist your pool wasn't a scam please reply to my PM where I am requesting transfer of the coinye I mined.

Everyone else, if spork985 comes through I'll let you know. Until then...

PS. spork985 said he did have DDoS protection but wouldn't bother to turn it on.

I said I have DDOS protection for another site of mine but did not have the opportunity to configure it for the pool. I never once claimed to have DDOS protection for the pool. If you think I did, please locate a quote and show me. Thanks.

Edit: As I keep saying, I can not pay you when my server is powered off. I can not power it on when it's being DDOSed.

For full disclosure, I left your pool last night when your 1000%+ round cleared up and my account showed much less than a round's worth of payouts.

You can transfer the wallet.dat file out and start doing manual payouts with the info you can track in the DB.  Or you can clone the server, V to V, or P to V, launch the server, and process the payouts.  DDOS doesn't stop the payouts if you really want to get people their coin.

Do the right thing and get to work for all the people who are waiting on coins.

LMAO... couldn't have seen that coming  Roll Eyes

I still want to know why I mined for like 30 minutes on your pool during the 1000% round debacle, and when it was finally resolved there was a measly 3000 coin on my account.

Your pool reeked of scam last night.  I just hope you're waiting to pay out everyone that mined before you run away with their coins and say "oh well, too bad".

-Fuse

Yep, everyone mining the pool last night has a bad taste in their mouth, and the pool owner straight doesn't care. Not only that, but he apparently doesn't even know how to run a pool based on the posts he's made recently.

Sorry to everyone who lost coins with wasted mining power last night, and sorry to the guys who probably just lost whatever was still in their account on this pool. The site looks down, and I doubt it or spork will be back.

He knew what he was doing.  The 1000% round was likely on another wallet, with the cronjobs turned off on MPOS.  The pool mines the shit out of the coin on a separate wallet, and then he flips the switch back to the pool wallet and says "IDK what happened".  Even if the cronjobs had stopped, when the next time the cronjob processed, it would have queried the database and reported the missing blocks and payments.  I've had long rounds on my pool when the cronjobs got locked up.  You kill the process, force the cronjob with a -F switch, and it parses through the old records and catches up.

Scam.... 100% sure of it.

Getting in on the first page.

Looking forward to using the exchange as my primary, and dumping cryptsy.

Just joking lol...

Saw that trade there...made me think that maybe I should put in a limit on how high or how low offers can be, so as to avoid silly stuff going up there and people making the odd mistake...maybe only allow a 100% spread max either way from the last sale

As for trades in PHP there would have to be someone willing to sell or buy using that pair...but we will probably put up a conversion of 2% between different currencies, so you can always go from php to USD to buy...we haven't added that there yet, but we will soon.

A simple pop-up warning would work too.  Like, "This trade is 1000% higher than the average trade price."  And then make them confirm it with a password or pin.

That would make me think twice about what I'm paying...

I think IcyHash might be scamming us by stealing some of our hashrate. It's WAY lower now for me than what I see in the command prompt, I loaded up a dogecoin pool just to be sure and they report it just fine for me. This launch absolutely wreaks of scam to me.

Nah, it take time to show your real hashrate lol

I am not steeling your hashes bro.
1) Rejects are not included in the hash rate. There's a high number of rejects now due to a large number of blocks.
2) The hash rates on pools are never accurate
3) Read the homepage news about caching

Enjoy your mining.

Why no new block is found on IcyHash for over 20mins now?

More than likely cronjob isn't running.  Pool op needs to force it.

I saw those cards earlier, but I can't choke $30 or more over MSRP when prime has them for $209 usually.

I hear you on that, man.  I was a little ticked that I had to go that route and pay shipping.  But I'm happy I did it.  With all the BTC Gyft orders I've made recently, the amount of bonus Gyft points was enough to reduce the cost to the point that it was like buying them prime, if not less.  Gotta love Gyft.

I think it will be big just because of the media attention that his lawyers are pouring into it.

Time, WSJ, Washington Post, etc., etc., etc.... all reporting on this.  I think the initial launch will be very much like Doge, where there will be a ton of hype, and a large following just to see how this will pan out with his lawyers over the next few weeks.

So I'm going to throw some hashing power at it for shits and giggles for a day or two.  A day of mining isn't going to kill me.  But if it goes big, it'll be well worth the days effort.

Hmmm... I am on my way today to pick up my order of 280X's... maybe I need to pick-up a few 270X's as well... maybe build my first 3 card miner... that sounds like fun!!!

Checking the stock of my local MSY now... it's all your fault John!!!

EDIT - The big news could that the 270X's run cooler... a lot cooler and cooling is a big issue for me and probably for you as well, John... if the 270X's run 10C cooler without any aftermarket cooler or risers... that is even more economical... what is the concensus... Fuse... do you have anything to report? Cooling a huge for me... I have a few of my 280X's throttled back to keep them running under 84C on these last few hot days.

The one I have is still in the 490's and enjoying itself at 60 or 61C. The room its in is 24C. They definitely run cooler, especially since they're pulling 175w max vs the 340-350w the 280x's are pulling. With the stock cooler I bet it would be a good choice for you. If you can get your hands on 1 to 3 of them, do so. You can always hotbox test it yourself Wink

I'm ready to buy like 4 or 6 or 10 of them, but all I have is amazon gift cards and amazon is sold out lol.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FONITCE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Bought 5 of these today... shipped already.  You're paying for shipping, but they have stock.

EDIT- it's reporting 8 in stock.  There were over 30 units 3 hours ago.

My order comes in over the next couple of days with most of the GPUs coming Friday/Monday.  So I'll need to get it all set up, and I'll let you know.  I'll be running 3 cards on the MB, a ASUS M5A99FX PRO, with a Cooler Master V1000 PSU.

Just a heads up... I'll be pulling my miners to mine Coinye tonight and maybe tomorrow.  I hate Kanye West, and this coin has already been reported on TheVerge.Com, the Wall Street Journal, RapGenius, etc.  Pure pump & dump.  It starts at 7PM PST... so heads up Smiley

Where blocks are mined very closely together you will normally get orphans, built in protection for block creation happening too quickly...

Likely the case then... good to know.  Thanks, Mark!

1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin on: January 07, 2014, 06:50:55 PM
Mark,

Upon further investigation into the orphans, I'm not 100% sure it has to do with the higher hashrate/difficulty.  If you look at the block stats of Tagmining and Botpool, you'll see orphans on blocks where the difficulty was as low as 40 for a few consecutive blocks.  In fact, most of the orphans are occurring well below a difficulty of 100.  It's weird.

Of course, I'm no expert in these matters.  Far from it lol.  Just reporting back to let you know what I've found.

1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin on: January 07, 2014, 03:54:30 AM
For LTC and all other coins, you can go to BTC-e and cryptsy and some others. TAG needs to be focused. Even if it never goes above 200 PHP or 0.003 or 0.004 BTC, it just has to be stable. That stability will be provided by the initial funding on the new exchange / trading.

The merchants will like the stability. They're not in it to speculate anyway. For those speculating, they are buying now.

This.

I love TAG for it's stability in price.  You turn the exchange into another BTC-E, and you've got pumps, dumps, and chumps for days.  TAG & BTC.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAG] TAGMining.Com- Try your chance at our weekly jackpot! on: January 07, 2014, 03:51:51 AM
Although this kind of information gets old quickly. I sold some TAG to make some BTC, to buy some hardware, to mine more TAG.

I did the same thing today.  9 x 270Xs and all the fixings to run them.  Looking forward to trying to catch up to you guys finally.

HUZZAH!

Oh I got a doozy for anyone that can help...

Sent a pretty sizable TAG transaction, and in my haste didn't pay attention to the TX fee.  It tacked on the minimum fee to the transaction, which I'm guessing is way to low.  No confirms, no TXID info on the explorer.  I resynced the wallet twice to make sure there wasn't something hung up in the process.  The transaction is being flagged in the wallet as sent, but with no confirmations... just in limbo somewhere.

What's the procedure for this?  Just wait until it confirms?  Does anyone know how long that takes?

I'm not a happy camper right now lol....

Yeah, I retract my statement about the orphans Sad  seemed when I checked earlier but I didn't check again before posting.

Do we know if other coins are experiencing similar issues?  Just wondering since it seemed to come on suddenly.  ie, is it a TAG issue, or a general latency issue.

I'm thinking this is a general TAG issue, as it's occurring across all the pools, some more than others(the bigger pools).

Vesper seems to think it's because of the network hash rate increase.  I hope that's all it is.  But it would still be nice to know why were just now seeing it with this and not 3-4 weeks ago when the network hashrate was at a high as well.

I know I probably sound like Chicken Little, but I want to make sure the issue isn't something I can help prevent on the pool.
