Hey this is none of my business, but I couldn't help but comment here:

You're a real dick, and a child. The post that person made was fully reasonable, and you just responded by basically calling him stupid. Now I'm betting that you're a very smart person, and that makes your response even more pathetic. Grow up, little man.

Stop spamming the thread and take your vulgar insults back to the playground.

Get a clue about the coin you mine people and stop the retard rage.
...said the pot to the kettle. You're a riot. Stop spamming the thread with your ignorance and mean-spirited replies to people.

Can you guys take it to PM, please.  Try to keep this thread relevant, clean and  Grin (happy).

Some people will get the reference:

Now, everyone go mine some coin and play nice.

Spent 8 hours last night mining this coin.

I think i'm gonna stay away from it for a while. I lost 1/3rd of all of my coins i mined last night due to orphans. Could've been mining doge the whole time and actually getting coins.

No one is forcing you to mine tag, mate.  Mine what's best for you and hopefully the issues will be resolved with time, and you'll come back.

To put it into perspective, I could have bought Litecoin at $0.07 back in February of last year when I got started with crypto again.  8 hours is nothing in the grand scheme of things, mate.

how does the POS mining work on this coin? in the wallet or on some site?

POS is mined in the wallet when the coins reach maturity(30+ days).  It is relatively fast and it can be done by running the wallet for an hour or so every now and then.  I open the wallet every week to update and POS mine.

Am I missing something? But when i install the client and go to "help" to verify the version it says 1.03. But here it says that it is supposed to be version 1.3... Whats up with that?

You're good, mate.  I think when Mark says 1.3, he really means 1.0.3, although it could be that he means 1.3, but the version is off.  Either way, as long as you're updated, you're good to go Smiley

Good stuff Vesper.  I'm going to send you a PM when I get back from dinner... I got an idea for you.

FYI... big time fork.  We are ahead of the rest of the pools, so stick to it and mine.  DIFFICULTY IS 10 RIGHT NOW!

I'll be back in a little bit.

Dabs, look at the non X version of the 270s.  Same performance at ~450kh, and about $20-$40 on average.  Still waiting on my 10 non-X cards to come in, but everything I'm reading points me to this.  Even the non-x 280s and 290s give similar results to the X version.  I suppose there is some frame rate increases in gaming or something silly, but mining is mining on all these cards.

Huh? On 150 difficulty, that's about a thousand dollars equivalent only. You got more hash power I'm sure, that you haven't put online yet. hehehe. (Don't believe that Dabs is CPU mining, although, that's exactly what I'm doing for now.)

Mate, between the 5MH and half of the fees/dontations each week, I make more than I take home at work.  It's really sad lol.

To answer your question... previously married, now with a long term partner.  We actually used to be great friends, but I when she went back to Cebu when the typhoon hit, I honestly pictured a house falling on her like the witch in the Wizard of OZ.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence but, gee, we haven't had much luck since you updated..  Huh

I know, mate... I've been watching the logs the whole time.  No errors though, and nothing out of the ordinary.  Cronjobs are running properly, and the DB looks good.

I don't want to start saying what it could be, because I really don't know.  But I really hope it's just an issue with luck, and not an issue with the update.

May I ask what the job is? That you are going to quit? Make sure your 6 month forecast looks good (barring difficulty and price swings.)

I'm out anyway soon, as the family and I are looking to move back to NY from California.

I work as a network/computer technician for the local school district.  4+ years now, part-time since I started.  For the last 7 months, I've dealt with a crotchety, menopausal Filipino woman who has given me dirty looks and straight ignored my existence because I called her out in my bosses office one day for her shitty attitude.  So most of my day in the office is spent trying to avoid her so she doesn't give me an attitude, which is tough because she basically the second in command in the office.  On a daily basis, a few of the techs in the office come in late, spend 30 minutes in the break room having breakfast and drinking coffee, then spend a majority of the rest of their day playing computer games and telling people things can't be fixed or figured out because they can't be bothered to do anything.  And they have full-time positions with benefits.  Me and my partner, also part-time and my business partner I always mention, end up picking up their slack and leading the charge for new innovation in the office, while they badmouth our projects and look down on what we've done like it's nothing.

I really loved this job for a long time, but any hope of it getting better has gotten further and further from reach.  It's the politics of working for a school district, and the lack of honor and integrity among the people in my office that make it down right unbearable some days.  Coming from the military made me appreciate working hard, being honorable, and above all else, having the integrity take care of your responsibilities like a man.

So pools, mining, and more pools and mining.  I've got maybe another month or two of work if our offer on the house goes through.  If my order for 10 GPUs comes through soon, and I can work on the laundry list of pools I want/need to make, I'll make more than what I make at work.  In fact, with just Tagmining and the ~5MH running right now, I make more than my monthly take-home... which is sad to say.  So I'd love to go in, and tell them off, and tell them that the cryptocoins I tried to tell them about almost a year ago, that they laughed off, now makes me more money then they make.  Oh, that would be priceless.

Well shit... there's an orphan.  Let's hope it was a freak occurrence.  If I see 15 in a row, I'm going to cry.

-Fuse

From the ANN thread:
Yes, orphans fixed hopefully..Smiley...but it won't take effect till 2 Feb, give everyone time to get updated..

It will another 2 weks until the orphan problem is hopefully fixed..

Oh yeah... I guess I need to read things, huh? lol

I've got a million things on my mind right now.  If I start making more money with pools and mining, I'm quitting my job to run pools.  I'd rather work on pools as a job than work on them as a hobby.

TagThePinkPanther, sent PM.

Also, I can now remove the reserve balance in the conf file? So I can mine my normal PoS coins.

Yes, at a higher interest rate now!  Grin

Wishing I was holding what I was holding 2 weeks ago now lol.
1418  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] (Silver): How much would you give me for... on: January 20, 2014, 12:44:15 AM
Incorrect. The law that made it illegal to melt currency was passed in 1967, all currency produced before 1967 is legal to melt down. Luckily for us, it is 1965 and earlier that are 90% silver, so all 90% silver coins are legal to melt.

I'm not going to lie... I love when Salty pops in to correct someone.  It's like an encyclopedia that hops of the bookcase and says, "Well, actually..." lol

I picture it with a monocle and a curly mustache.  Just sayin.

Downtime again.

Stratum is throwing errors left and right in the log files after the update.  I'm going to try a stratum update, and if it does not fix the issue, I will revert back to tagcoind version 1.2 until I can find out what's going on.

-Fuse

Stratum updated.  Pool is operation correctly again post wallet upgrade.  GET SOME BLOCKS!

Damn it, Mark... you just fixed the version 2 minutes ago on git.  I was looking for it in the code and I was going to create a pull request.  In fact I just tracked it with the 1.0.2 code changes.

And here I thought I was going to do something cool on Git.  I'll go back to my corner now lol.
