2001  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Recommend me a card $300 range on: March 05, 2013, 10:16:04 PM
The Gigabyte 7950 is pretty good.  I bought one to mine with, and it gets decent hash rates.  It's a 7.9 in windows performance index, and plays everything I throw at it at high-ultra settings, depending on resolution.  Best thing is that at 99% load and overclocked to 1100-1150 on the core, it rarely gets above 66 degrees with the fan at ~70%.  At idle it's 33 degrees.  Best thing about it is it is quiet as all hell.  At 70% fan it's what my crappy 8800gtx used to sound like at 50% load.

2007  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Breaking Dawn pt 2 digital copy & ultraviolet code. (GAVE AWAY) on: March 03, 2013, 07:55:16 PM
As stated in title, code for digital copy and ultraviolet copy of Breaking Dawn pt 2.  Code works for both, and digital copy works with ITunes.  Wife isn't going to use it, so I figured I'd see if anyone wanted it.  0.08BTC OBO, PM me for address details.  I will send first for trustworthy members.

2008  Other / Off-topic / Re: HOWTO: get 0.6666 BTC for free on: March 03, 2013, 05:14:04 PM
Man, I should have waited on this.  Got in early for .4btc, and it's .6btc now.  Lesson learned... don't sell early.
2009  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to buy north korean won on: March 01, 2013, 12:32:43 AM
Sorry, Yokosan.  Checked my notes, and they are all prior to the turn-in in 2009.  GL find some though.
2010  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to buy north korean won on: February 28, 2013, 09:45:56 PM
PM'd you, Yokosan.  I have some.
2011  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your Mhash/s? (Pissing contest here) on: February 28, 2013, 03:31:51 AM
7950 at home running about 575Mh/s, and a Firepro something-er-other at work running constantly at 100MH/s.

Now if I could only figure out how to push a hidden miner to all 4000 computers at the school district where I work... jk.

easy, just hide the window, cpu mine at 30% when idle only. jk.

I know I could push it out, I manage our imaging process when computers come in.  I can't however hide the traffic to a mining pool from our firewall and web filter/reporting agent.  That would flag in about... oh... 1 second lol.  Either way, it wouldn't really be worth it with the computers we have.  Bunch of cheap ass dell and hp workstations with no horse power at all.  But a guy could dream, right.
2012  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Crysis 3 key code - 0.35BTC (price reduced for quick sale) on: February 27, 2013, 09:16:32 PM
I agree completely with your post.  I understand the concerns people have with newer members.  I've been reading a lot of the trade posts, as well as the scam posts.

I have PM'd you the code.  I will confirm payment when it hits my wallet.

2014  Other / Off-topic / Re: HOWTO: get 0.4 BTC for free on: February 27, 2013, 04:02:31 AM
Sent XRP.  Just to let you guys know, Ripple won't let you send the entire 40K if that's all you have.  It will let you send 39,800.  Leaving you with 199.9999.  Just a heads up for anyone planning to do this.

[Edit] Arvicco promptly sent promised BTC approx 10 minutes later.  Man of his word.  Thanks, Arvicco.  I'd love to read about your findings/research once your done.  All these systems intrigue me, but the people who can manipulate them to their benefit intrigue me more.
2015  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any suggestions for an online wallet? on: February 26, 2013, 07:45:14 PM
+1 for Blockchain, and it's Android app.
2016  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 'Best' Bitcoin wallet on: February 26, 2013, 07:12:45 PM
I like blockchain's wallet.  It's convenient, and the Android app is pretty slick.  Notifications of transactions is kind of nice through the day.  *looks at phone* "Sweet! More bitcoins!".

I doubt it would hash anything worth while if it's rocking an ARM with no dedicated graphics.  Looks pretty sweet though.  I'm wondering if you could set one up to host FPGAs.  That would make it pretty useful.
2019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: February 26, 2013, 07:01:10 PM
I'd like to be considered for whitelist.  I know I'm still wet behind the ears, but I'm interested in making this forum my new home.

I will also sell my first born child for whitelist status.  She should fetch a pretty penny with a circus or band of gypsies.
2020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do you see bitcoins in 5 year? on: February 26, 2013, 06:55:12 PM
I honestly think as long as the people who use bitcoin don't troll it in to the ground, it will be recognized as an official currency.  But that takes everyone getting along... mmmkay.
