1141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as wealth. on: April 18, 2023, 01:32:27 PM
Let go into the society as a whole most wealthy and stable individual are in there position today as a result of investment which is cryptocurrency when we look at them most of them are into trading of assets. That is to say cryptocurrency add positive value in terms of wealth to investment management.. in order word I stand by advising everyone to engage into business with cryptocurrency.

It's true that investing is a big part of asset management these days, owning and building a successful portfolio is important for longterm wealth generation and also saving money for retirement. When we buy an investment fund or take out retirement insurance than the company will invest the money on our behalf. We can do that ourselves and save on all the fees while being more flexible. Any good portfolio should hold crypto currencies among others. In my opinion having a well diversified portfolio is important during times if crisis. Putting 25% in stocks, cryptos, Real Estate and bonds is a great split. Personally I am not a fan of hold these days that's why I would not buy commodities.
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: April 18, 2023, 01:06:20 PM
Wow. I'm hyped. I've gotta give it to Jake as this is no easy fight and might even be tougher than Tommy Fury if I'm being honest.

I am hyped too, the fight has been anticipated for quite a while and it's nice that it's finally coming. To be honest I wish the fight would have happened sooner, Nate is already 38 who hasn't been so active anymore. The big age difference is definitely an issue but I think Nate will stand his ground. Again it's going to be a boxing match which is a big disadvantage for all the MMA fighters. I thought that Jake Paul was already training Jiu Jitsu and would start competing in the octagon. It's one thing to beat the MMA professionals in boxing and something completely different in a UFC setup. It would be awesome to see a rematch with Anderson Silva in the octagon. But let's focus on the Nate Diaz match first, with - 270 Jake Paul seems to be a strong favourite, at such odds I am going to bet on Nate Diaz.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need your opinion on the casino project ( gambling ) on: April 18, 2023, 12:45:29 PM
And finally, is it safe to play at this online casino site? Is my personal information and cryptocurrencies safe and secure? Would you recommend playing on this platform or are there other crypto casino websites that are safer or more reliable?

I haven't played myself at that casino and can't give you a recommendation. There are reviews online but I can't tell you how legit and trustworthy they are. You seem like a new member here that probably doesn't have much experience with online gambling in the past, that's why I would like to give you some general tips. First of all making inquires about the casino is a good idea, if you don't find gamblers that accuse the casino of scamming it's already a good sign. In case you are still unsure you should only use a small amount of money and test their website. Another recommendation is to not leave large sums of money at the casino, better to withdraw money once you make some profits.
1144  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: April 18, 2023, 07:47:27 AM
To reach your goals, you must put in a lot of effort. How can a student invest money meant for his education when he doesn't have enough to pay his bills or buy food? Because you have a limited budget for your schooling and other required expenses, I am unable to advise you to invest when you are experiencing financial difficulties. God forbid, what will you do if you invest the only money you have for your education and you later need money or want to pay for school fees? If you invested your money and the market is down, you won't even get all of it back, even though you didn't specify where to invest it.
From your point of view, saving money for the future is never a waste because you can intend to utilize it to buy something, make an investment, or avoid misusing it.

I don't think a student should be saving money, there is no point in trying to cut back on your education. Getting the best possible education no matter the cost means to invest in our own future. The better our education the better our job we will get and the higher our salary will be go pay of any potential debt. This of course doesn't mean we should be going for unnecessary purchases as a student. There are a ways to save money on housing, clothes and food, but not on our education. Saving is more for when we are working and have a real income. When we are older we also need to think about retirement and save money for that, otherwise we are going to have to work the rest of our life.
1145  Economy / Economics / Re: Without government job we can survive on: April 18, 2023, 06:51:27 AM
Let us be realistic to ourselves, is good to extreme to wait for government to make provision of every in a country, sometimes when we graduate from higher colleges we expected government to create employment opportunities but in some points government keep adamant of making employment be visible and available to the mass,  on my instinct I said without government employment man can survive, I started a popcorn 🍿 business which I managed alone but right now have workers under me which I'm paying and now planning to establish another business.

Congratulations buddy for running your own successful business, probably most of us here dream of being our own business. Back in university I tried to come up with some ideas among my friends to start our own business. Unfortunately we didn't find the right idea we could agree on and nothing happened. By now I kind of accepted that I will never be my own boss and have to stick in employment the rest of my life. Which is also not a bad thing because it gives more security and less stress to worry about. So far I have always worked in the private sector and never really thought about working in the government sector. In my country the wages are much higher when working for a corporation than the government. It's better to find a job for ourselves than relying on the government to provide a job for us.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 18, 2023, 06:44:37 AM
Most persons purchase  most items using Bitcoin transactions I am of the opinion of hodling instead of spending pls is that a positive mindset?

The question is do you have enough money to make the purchase with Fiat? If so then I would rather keep my bitcoins then spending them right now. In case you don't have enough money and need to sell some of your investments it's okay to take a profit right now. Bitcoin came a long way to come back to the 30k USD levels and it's okay to take a profit now, but you should be aware that long term the price is going to rise higher. What kind of purchase are you going to make? Is it something necessary or unnecessary? You might feel bad in 6 months if you bought something unnecessary with your bitcoins and the price is going to rise much higher.
1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 18, 2023, 06:38:55 AM
Another full day with CSGO matches in the IEM Rio 2023. Today Group B is going to play and the lower brackets of Group A will eliminate more teams. The first match will be Vitality against mibr which should be a good win for Vitality. After they lost so close in overtime vs OG, they are not getting eliminate today. The second match will be fnatic vs 9z, which is another one sided match and fnatic should easily win this best of 3 match. A more interesting match is going to be FaZe vs Furia, which is probably the last Brazilian team in the tournament and might get some crowd motivation to win. On paper FaZe is the much stronger team, but since the match is being played in Rio I will make a small bet on the Brazilians. The match NiP vs 9INE I am going to skip as I am not so familiar with the polish team and how strong they really are. Cloud 9 vs OG could be another a great match that could go either way, I will go with Cloud9 here. And then in the last match we have Heroic vs TheMongolz which is the most one sided game of the day and should be won easily by Heroic.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 17, 2023, 03:14:56 PM
Hi there guys,

Since I've seen what happened to Coinplay, my question was: Why we should play with minor gambling platform, and not use only gambling platform like Stake, CloudBet, fortunejack ecc. which ensure us good games, 100%

of safety in terms of withdrawal and provably fair (about games)? This question is also for the owners of gambling platform, maybe they can help to reply it.

Most casinos these days offer the same type of games, or at least very similar games. The difference between casinos comes more from the website layout, special promotions, support staff and deposit and withdrawal options. When choosing a casino we need to pick one where we are comfortable and also feel safe. In general I would advise against leaving large sums of money at the casino. Better to pay a little in transactions fees and withdraw our winnings. So when in comes to safety of our gambling funds it's mostly in our hands. The main argument for me to try out new minor casinos is a special promotion. A new casino always needs to be more competitive and offer something for new customers, which is a great way to boost our bankroll.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting vs fantasy sports on: April 17, 2023, 02:51:10 PM
Both are skill based yet former is considered sheer gambling while later is not. Fantasy sports has become norm, while on the other hand if people come to know that you bet on sports you'll be met with eyebrow raise.

^ that's my opinion. What's yours? Do you consider both of them same or different?

I have no real clue how fantasy sports exactly works and how you could bet large sums of money on it. A few friends of mine played fantasy football in the past and where building ridiculous strong teams with the best players all around the world and would be winning every match. I never really understood how the results were generated, there must be some algorithm behind it. And when there is an algorithm determining results, can't there be players figuring it out and using it for their advantage? My main concern is to not fully understand the risks involved and not being able to make correct predictions to bet on. I would expect only gamblers who have an advantage to bet on fantasy league games.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe Not Possible For Governments To Get Off Fiat?? on: April 17, 2023, 02:36:26 PM

Would this be a case of intimidation from more dominate countries that is preventing other governments from wanting to change the financial system?

Thoughts?

Yes I think that there would be a lot of consequences and intimidation for countries to try and stop using fiat money. There are two types of countries in the world, net export and net important country. Which basically means that some countries consume more than they produce and others that produce more than they consume. USA is a good example for a country that imports more, which gives them a lot of power. In the past most of that International trade was settled in USD and if one of the trading partners would move away from USD now, then the USA could try and switch to a different country for it's imports. Most products are not only offered by one country and if your economy relies heavily on its export to function, then you are dependent on the big countries. That's why I don't expect we are going to see any of the big countries to switch out of the fiat system anytime soon.
1151  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: April 17, 2023, 02:13:33 PM
definitely, there will be scammers on the loose again. they will always find a way how to jump on the hype. so if you are a user, better check the site meticulously. don't just listen about the feedbacks, check their system itself. are they really practicing the web 3.0 concept?
It's true, friend, to choose a good casino, gamblers don't only look at feedback and reviews, but also have to do research and try all the features themselves or check the system to prove whether what is stated on the site is real.
There have been cases where casinos used certain phrases in their promotions to gain the interest of gamblers but when research and research turned out that all that was said in the promotions were just fake extra words that were included only for the personal benefit of the casinos themselves.
I'm not saying that new casinos are all bad but it would be better to participate before things that are not desirable happen because we gamble using our personal money not using the free faucets given by the casino.

Using buzzwords as part of advertising or special promotions is very common in any marketing department. This is nothing special from the gambling industry. The flyer or banner we see is there to attract us and make us interested in their products. It's not the full legal documents of what we going to play, for that we need to look into the terms and conditions on the main website. These days there will always be a small star at the promotion to tell us that there are limitations of the offers. That's why it's so important that we all make our own research and read all the fine prints before using real money. Casinos act in their own interest and to protect themselves from misuse. It's also good to check online if other gamblers had issues with the casino in the past.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 17, 2023, 01:38:03 PM
What if, I get a chance to participate in a lottery without any investment?
If any gambling site offers, free of cost entry in the lottery, i would definitely not miss that one. Smiley

I would also instantly sign up for a free lottery, what is there to lose if its free to enter? The main question would be what kind of information is required to participate. If the casino wants to get my full personal information beforehand than I would be a bit cautious. Maybe they are trying to aquire consumer data cheaply and want to sell them to other companies. In the end it comes down to what kind of prizes are being offered and what the winning chances are. If there are big cash prizes or maybe a PS5 being offered then I wouldn't hesitate to sign up. Probably 90% of all gamblers would happily participate in a free lottery.
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's NOT a good time to invest in BTC. on: April 17, 2023, 08:58:19 AM

I still think that we won't see real gains until inflation will go down enough and fed will start cutting interest rates. I said it before and I will say it again: I think the best time to buy bitcoin will be after interest rates will go down. It's easily the best signal to buy for me. And it's also the least risky one.

So be careful. If you truly don't know if you should buy or not, do some research and always look at the bigger picture and not some small local signals.

That's an interesting take on the current situation and what to expect in near future of the bitcoin market. In some parts I agree with you and in others I am more optimistic than you. In general I would also say that it's not the best time to buy large quantities of Bitcoins, but we also need to look alternatives. In case we have large sums of fiat cash laying around then we need to do something with it. In my country the interest rates on savings are around 1% while the inflation rate is 8-10%. It just doesn't make any sense to not invest and at least try to keep the value of our money constant. I would still recommend to invest at least partially our money in bitcoins. Just because bitcoins aren't cheap anymore doesn't mean there isn't a lot of upside potential legt. We are still far away from the ATH and the halving is going to come next year.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 17, 2023, 07:40:51 AM
i play slots hoping to win 'big win' or 'jackpot' but many times it don't hits and my balance get drained after betting many times in one slot machine. i play more bets hoping it already took my so much balance it will definitely going to hit this times, but it never happens, and my balance becomes "0".

It's the same for me, I mainly play slots with the hope for hitting a big jackpot one day. It's pretty much like playing lottery, I don't worry so much about my small losses as long as I have a chance to one day hit a big jackpot. Like you I am setting a fixed budget for playing slots, but since I mostly focus on other games the money I use in slots is very small and it's usualy only a few rounds that I am playing. One thing that I noticed with having a fixed budget is that also mostly play until I am down to 0 balance. Only when I am getting a decent win I tend to make a break and cash out some of my winnings. For me it's better to take winnings out and not add them to my fixed gambling budget. Your 8. point is the most important for me, I like to only play slots that have a high RTP. There are some games that have 98%, which is really good in my opinion. A game with 100% I haven't seen yet, not sure if that even exist. Also free spins are nice to get, but for me they rarely work, so far I haven't made any really profit with them.
1155  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 17, 2023, 07:02:22 AM
The majority of us live beyond our means, which is one of the primary causes of our ever-increasing habit of borrowing money. Simply put, incomings are outpacing outgoings. It's also getting worse.

More than at any time in the past two decades, millions of Americans are spending more than they earn. Spending on credit cards, the most common type of personal debt, is estimated to be rising at a rate faster than at any other time in American history.

We are living in really difficult times at the moment, in the last 15 years we had so many different major crisis that there was no real recovery. The economy is very fragile as we are struggle from government intervention to the next big bailout. Just in the last few years we had the covid pandemic, Russia Ukraine war and the new high inflation making food and energy a luxury good. The main problem is that wages are not rising in line with all the cost. For example, living expenses went through the roof making it almost impossible to buy your own apartment these days. The only real chance we have is using debt to try and maintain some decent living standards and hope that our wages will eventually start rising and match the inflation rates. The good thing with high inflation is that it's also making our current debt less valuable in the future.
1156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: April 17, 2023, 06:53:04 AM
What are your thoughts about this? Personally, I usually try to buy with stablecoins if I have some, it just feels more natural for me. I don't want to touch my BTC while the market is still bad.

I feel very similar to you about paying online with BTC. Due to the high volatility in the Bitcoin market I try to avoid using my precious coins as much as possible. When I first started out with Bitcoins I used them for all my purchases. That was probably my biggest investing mistake, I wish I would have held all my coins and paid in Fiat or stablecoins instead. The problem with paying in Bitcoins when the price is at 10 or 20,000 USD is that you will feel bad once the price rises. The same goes for using my bitcoins for gambling, I don't really deposit money anymore with BTC. In the past I also used crypto coins to deposit money quickly at the casino, but now I prefer to stick to using Fiat money to deposit and withdraw in crypto currencies.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can this be effective against the increasing numbers of gamblers? on: April 16, 2023, 06:58:02 AM
Quote

The Premier League have confirmed clubs have voluntarily agreed to remove gambling sponsors from the front of their matchday shirts from the start of the 2025/26 season.

This is a move to try to reduce promotion of gambling in the premier league with it's increasing audience, do you think it can successfully reduce the number of people who gamble? What do you think? Will these gambling platforms not just move to other sports, do you think other sports that wear their sponsors name in England will adopt this new development in the premier league?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/premier-league-clubs-to-remove-gambling-sponsors-from-front-of-shirts/ar-AA19Ogeu

I don't think this going to have a huge impact on the sports betting industry. First of all if the bookmakers have the money to use on marketing campaigns and advertising, then just banning them from the premier league will let them switch to other leagues or other form of advertising. The ban is not going to remove the existing customers and will likely not result in a short term impact. There are so many different ways the bookmakers could spread their company name and promotions, especially in social media there is almost no limits these days. The question will also be who is going to pick up all the free advertising space that becomes avalaible now. There will be a lot of companies who would like to get the exposure from premier league, but the gambling industry could afford to pay a lot of money for those advertisings. Let's see if other countries are going to do the same and if this is going to have a lot of impact.
1158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: April 16, 2023, 06:39:27 AM
I was thinking new kind of plan to buy bitcoin every month from my salary immediately my company paids me but I still have other responsibilities to carry with family so am skeptical about it especially now that the price has no direction. If can afford storing every month in a long run I may realizes half of bitcoin unit and that's a big achievement to buy but to you is funny because you have enough of it. So advise me on what to do! Should I hold on because of the instabilities in price? Or I should buy and store? Over to you

First of all you need to calculate your cost of living and how much money you have actually at your hand each month that you can spend freely. It makes no sense to buy bitcoins today only to be forced to sell them in two weeks again because you need to pay your bills. When it comes to investing we should be only taking money that we can afford to lose. The next step should be to start buying bitcoins when you are comfortable. In my opinion buying a fixed amount of BTC each month is the best approach, the so called Dollar Cost Average (DCA) strategy makes sure that we don't worry so much about the price today and will focus on getting a good average purchasing price over a longer period of time.
1159  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone notice the "investment cost" ? on: April 16, 2023, 06:33:17 AM
Connect the two dots(two extreme conditions) and draw a curve, high chances are that at last, your profits from all investments may not be that much, at least much less than what you expected when you first gained that $10K. Therefore, all the occasional profits between investments may become fixed or variable costs that these investment must pay.

Does this sound logical to you ? What do you think of all the interval losses from the investment gains ? Please let me know.

I don't fully understand your example. You invest 10k USD and turn it into 20k USD, which you are going to sell because you need the money. So basically you are down to 0 USD and can't invest directly in bitcoins again. If you don't need the full 20k USD the best option would be to only sell some of your coins and keep the rest of them. Also if you want to reinvest into bitcoins you don't need to put all your money in at a price of 40k USD. You could try and split out your purchases to get a better price over time. Then there is the issue that short term price drops doesn't mean we have a loss at our hand immediately, as long as we are not selling our coins we are not realising our loss and can recover a few month down the road again.
1160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter plans to offer buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: April 16, 2023, 06:25:59 AM
Twitter, one of the largest social media platforms has sparked rumours about it's plans to offer buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on it's platform. If this eventually happens, it could have significant impacts on the future of cryptocurrency and social media.

That would be a huge move by Twitter and will likely impact the crypto community a lot. Short term I would expect prices to rise as a lot of new investors would join the market and it might be quite easy for them to buy and sell cryptos via Twitter. The main problem for me when it comes to socialmedia and crypto currencies is that there could be a huge hype in the beginning, but when there won't be high returns quickly all the new investors could leave the markets again. Socialmedia lives of hypes that quickly fade again and the same could happen when buying cryptos. Also Elon Musk used his power in the past on Twitter to promote certain cryptos that he owned, I am a bit afraid of conflicting interests here.
