1821  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: games.bitcoin.com - SCAM? on: March 20, 2020, 02:22:15 PM
It's probably just a delay.

In any case, only them can help you, If support doesn't work, try posting in their forum (forum.bitcoin.com), see similar threads below which got resolved

games.bitcoin.com - SCAM? didn't receive a withdrawal
Bitcoin Games - money dissapeared after "manual" withdrawal
1822  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchange on: March 19, 2020, 09:16:55 PM
thank you for your opinion, we just started recently, and we will do everything to prove that we are not scam and came only with good intentions

According to whois, the website is 77 days old (https://whois.domaintools.com/coinswapy.com)

But you have reviews on your website starting from December 1, 2019 (https://archive.is/rN8vi) which is 110 days ago! and I can't find them in the actual Trustpilot site (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/coinswapy.com?languages=all).

Another thing is this user saying they were using your service for several years

The best cryptocurrency exchanger!

I have been using this service for several years. Exchange rates always are the highest on Internet, money comes in fifteen minutes. Big thanks for your honesty.

1823  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: trade8.to legit or scam ? on: March 19, 2020, 01:36:59 PM
Our team comprises some of the leading experts in software development, security, and retail trading. To ensure the personal safety of our team and the security of customer funds, all of our team members adopt aliases.
Well, even binance with such a huge profit didn't bother to introduce their team members if personal safety is really the issue here.

Their core team is searchable, you'll see them especially in Binance's SNS.

Beware of any centralized services that don't want to reveal their team behind. It's easier to scam ppl when their identity isn't tied to their actions. The possible attacks when one has revealed their identity isn't much of a threat and can be minimized hence, I don't see why the transparency to the users should be compromised.
1824  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can i get bsv in blockchain wallet? Plaese help. on: March 18, 2020, 07:37:54 PM
You should be able to since blockchain.com is a non-custodial wallet.

Get your seed and import it to a BSV wallet like electrumsv.io (beware of fakes). You may need to toggle the derivation path (the last number) if the coins are in different accounts where 0 is your first acc.

For the safety of your other cryptocoins (if any), I advise moving them to a newly generated wallet before the procedure.
1825  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened to Coinmex? on: March 16, 2020, 11:09:08 PM
Just curious why there's no clear announcement on their FaceBook page and Twitter account regarding this matter or they already had a plan to run away costumers coins that store on their platform.

to lower user's awareness so they can bag more? any decent exchange who wants to give back its users money would've given enough time and use every method they can to inform their users. Coinmex is doing the exact opposite  Undecided

TOS is available in Japanese only, i used google translator. I guess nobody read tos before registering.

language can be changed at the bottom right but still doesn't change the fact that most ppl don't read it

Just curious to know for how long there is an announcement in coinmex website (https://www.coinmex.com/) home page about the updates

The same time they published the article ig
1826  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened to Coinmex? on: March 13, 2020, 11:03:28 PM
The very short time frame for ppl to pull out their money + the misleading announcement title which made the situation less alarming and dropped the potential clicks

I see... they were trying to bag as much as they can. Hope you don't have much there op
1827  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitget exchange on: March 11, 2020, 11:16:42 PM
Indeed you did nothing wrong. The market dictates the price not them. It doesn't make sense to lock your funds and reverse the trade just because they didn't like the bought price.

These guys seem bad news just from the fake info they have provided. There's no way they have 6 digit users with barely any trace when you look them up. Not to mention the volume...

They don't seem to be active here, try posting in reddit and on their SNS to get their attention.

Lastly, a screenshot is better than copy-pasted text as a proof don't you think? and better stick to one thread.
1828  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.com close/delete account not possible? on: March 05, 2020, 01:38:45 AM
Try to ask them to remove your personal data instead, it's in their privacy policy as one of your rights

Erasure

You can ask us to delete or remove your Personal Data in certain circumstances such as if we no longer need it, provided that we have no legal or regulatory obligation to retain that data. Such requests will be subject to any agreements that you have entered into with us, and to any retention limits, we are required to comply with in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If we have disclosed your Personal Data to others, we will let them know about the erasure request where possible. If you ask us, if possible and lawful to do so, we will also inform you with whom we have shared your Personal Data so that you can contact them directly.

It'd be best to also reach out at privacy@blockchain.com.
1829  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Altsbit - an Italian CEX was hacked on: February 12, 2020, 10:20:34 PM
Quite impressive to hear how fast they're going to refund and this is very good news for their customers.

The catch is they're only refunding a portion of it

After a careful analysis we managed to understand the stolen quantities, fortunately a good part of the coins were kept on cold storage, these coins will be returned to the users of Altsbit exchange not having the possibility to compensate for these losses, they will be distributed among all users of the platform each coin will have its calculation based on the percentage that was saved during the attack

It's beyond unfair that they're not holding themselves responsible for their mistakes when users are held for theirs. Too bad we can't see who are behind this exchange so we can avoid these ppl with poor culpability.

Looking at the numbers on their website it really is a small exchange, which means ppl are most likely gonna spend (time and money) more than what they lost if they file a lawsuit so no one will go through it ig. This could also be just their subtle way of exit scamming.
1830  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitmain shipping? Coronavirus effects? on: February 11, 2020, 05:55:15 PM
Better contact bitmain to clear your situation of whether it's just a delayed shipment or you'll be getting a refund like the user below, and if that's the case for everyone, we can assume that bitmain still hasn't resumed to their normal operations yet.

I bought couple of miners on 31 of Jan and they still didn't ship out so I contacted bitmain and they said
"due to the influence the coronavirus, we will handle the refund after 2.10, please wait patiently, thanks."

so did they stopped shipping or what ?
does anyone else have their miners shipped this week?
1831  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange Service Withdrawl Fees on: February 09, 2020, 06:20:29 PM
Hmm. Can you point out which part did you translate? cause I don't see anything. It's the exact same thing except for the introduction which is not that important.
1832  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Please need advice about this project on: February 06, 2020, 05:39:11 PM
"Expert traders" but there's no way to verify how true is the statement... All I feel is doubt when I see them providing such services since it pretty much implies they aren't earning enough through trading to still jump on it.

Another thing is that they can use the users (you) to manipulate the market for their gain and it could be extra hard for beginners to see until it's too late.

Wouldn't recommend.
1833  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Instant exchanges on: February 05, 2020, 01:59:31 AM
Keeping changelly's name on the list is pretty much recommending people to use it, and I don't think the name should be on the list.

But would censoring help in the long run? Even if they didn't see the shady exchanges here, there's still a fair chance they would in other places especially for popular exchanges like Changelly. Worse it could be a positive content that can lead to them trying the exchange and encounter problems like stuck funds.

There are two reasons why I won't try an exchange (talking about first try), it's either I have no idea it existed or I know it's too risky. I think it's better this way laying it all out. Since they're here viewing this thread might as well see what needs to be seen.

Maybe op can put an addition to the emoji for warnings like what @figmentofmyass suggested making it impossible not to check their scam accusations? lastly, how about placing the legend on top before the first exchange?
1834  Other / Archival / Re: Cryptobravos trading Platform ( 25% profits a month, 0% risk ) on: February 04, 2020, 08:24:42 PM
Quote from: Cryptobravos
the risk free is provided due to our experience we had been able to do that for all our clients over the world

There's no such thing as guaranteed profit and risk-free (classic bait in scams btw). The mere fact that you're recruiting users here is enough proof you're not capable of it. If you are, there's no reason for you to go through all the trouble of recruiting users and all that as you can just rake the monies yourselves. and pls don't tell us you're just doing a good deed.
1835  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: stolen money from games.bitcoin.com on: February 02, 2020, 01:08:48 AM
Sensitive information in a URL... so outdated. They are logged and can be accessed in plain text in your web browser and worse if you have something like google acc which syncs your history across your devices (if you didn't opt-out). Lot's of ppl trying to snoop in our browsing activity so they can sell it, it could also be just a malicious browser extension

Seeing that they are giving users a warning to password-protect their account means they are aware of the security implications and yet they are doing nothing... I don't see any reason why they're still allowing these non-password protected accs to function like normal as it is basically compromising security for convenience.

lastly, don't ever reveal any part of sensitive information. Remember the more info an attacker gets, the easier it is to succeed.
1836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Discord & scammers. Check user IDs and user colors of strangers send you PMs on: January 31, 2020, 12:45:10 AM
or If you don't wanna bother with the spams/scams, better disable DMs from server members through privacy settings (READ: Blocking & Privacy Settings) **it doesn't apply to your friends

Most DMs from strangers are trashy anyway. and If someone who is not your friend needs to slide into your DMs they'd ping you especially if it's important. That's what ppl do in my case.
1837  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need 100 Testers for trading platform (reward = 0.01btc) on: January 30, 2020, 09:56:54 PM
NEWS
Receive 100% first deposit bonus without terms for every new member! max 0.05BTC / 2.5ETH

Do you plan to do this for real op? 🚩🚩🚩 (I'm assuming none of the trading data on your site is real since it isn't done yet or not???)

we can arrange that with an respected escrow from this forum ? i would appreciate it if some people with trading knowledge join this bounty

Yes, here is a List of Reputable Escrows here.

Also, there should be some sort of screening ( or requirements) for testers to prevent cheating. For starters, I suggest certain ranks and number of gained merits. Better enforce specific tasks too. Not everyone will go beyond and actually explore every part of your exchange unless you tell them too.

For everyone who's planning to join, don't doit unless funds are escrowed but of course, you're an exception if you don't value your time. Offer is too good to be true indeed.
1838  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Please clear my doubt. on: January 28, 2020, 09:19:00 PM
They do not because it's not on-chain as the transfer happens within their platform.

Got this from coinbase which should clear your doubt.
Coinbase does not charge network fees for digital currency transfers from one Coinbase wallet to another.

Not sure about the minimum but the transfer shouldn't happen if you tried to send an amount that does not met the minimum.
1839  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Instawallet claim on: January 27, 2020, 10:55:02 PM
I skimmed through their claiming ann thread and they were pretty keen about keeping their 90-day claiming period which has been long over. They refused users who came to them just months after the deadline. I don't think you're gonna be able to get them to process your refund willingly as its been years. The user from 2018 which has a similar case to yours also didn't receive a reply when TryNinja gave them a heads up about it.

Here's what they said to one of those ppl(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167215.msg3821122#msg3821122)

So I sent a few btc to friends and family early in Instawallet days to spread the word, they are now looking for those coins.

What do we need to do to recover them?

thanks davout
I'm afraid it's too late to file a claim, the claims submission was possible for three months with a deadline in July.
There was a detailed explanation of the whys and hows of the claims process (and more specifically why there had to be a deadline) posted in this thread, it might be a little hard to find buried in the 40 pages of this thread.

Kind regards
David

I'm not sure If you have reached out to an actual lawyer or not when you said "all lawyer say that" but If that's true and they said that, you have a much better chance with that method.
1840  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading on BigOne on: January 23, 2020, 12:25:36 AM
I'm not buying any of this cause just this month 3 newbies have also posted their "good experience", I wouldn't call that a coincidence.

Jan 10 - my first trading on BigONE
Jan 13 - Why I Like BigOne exchange
Jan 18 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218635.0

Also, for a not so well known exchange, they sure have a huge volume 👀
for an exchange which has such volume, they sure act the opposite by having ppl post those 👀👀
