1861  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone use UltraMixer dot net? on: November 20, 2019, 06:10:12 PM
I found two other ultramixers. Their scam business seems to be running for at least a year.. It's pretty much them seeing how they have the exact web design and that there's really nothing to phish, they don't have that rep.

A thread about ultramixer(dot)org: Anyone been scammed by Ultramixer.org? which is now inaccessible btw. (snapshot of the website http://web.archive.org/web/20180809153312/https://ultramixer.org/ )

The up and running is ultramixer(dot)io

Only transact with reputable one's op, most of the obscure ones turned out to be a scam or at least shady.
1862  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any one who knows http://onebittrading.com on: November 16, 2019, 05:31:38 AM
Only scam sites do that, stay away from it. You don't need to deposit in order to access the site, verify your acc or withdraw your funds in there, it's very common scam trick actually. and it's just another cex.io (ANN thread) clone which is another commonly used by scammers.

What kind of business do you have with the site? we could suggest something reputable.
1863  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 55.com Exchange | Weird Thing | Why? | Does anyone vouch for this exchange? on: November 14, 2019, 06:21:49 AM
Ask them if 55com.io is theirs too. If not, I'm guessing that the malicious email also came from them and of course the phishing site as well. It's a perfect plan since you could scam ppl while saving your face. Users falling to phishing sites is out of their responsibility.

Like what's the probability of some third party sending that malicious email to you right after you registered? 🤔

In any case, I'd stay away from anything obscure.
1864  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto trading platform - Bitsgap on: November 08, 2019, 08:19:22 AM
It's more like a brief overview, lol.

yeahhh and the video is 17 mins long so better just watch a person who actually used the service and could give you a gist of what it looks like.

I'm very hesitent when it comes to anything that wants my API keys. People often think they are safe because it's mostly not possible to withdraw through an API key, but it happened before that people's accounts have been used to pump an illiquid coin where the hackers then withdrew Bitcoin from the exchange(s) concerned.

I doubt there is much demand for such a service anyway, mainly so because most skilled traders steer cleer of services like these.

Can you still look up the articles or anything about that? I remember searching if such a thing happened before and wasn't able to find one. It'd be a good read.
1865  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Egold withdraw in yobit works on: November 07, 2019, 11:59:26 PM
If he is talking about other eGold maybe this one below.

It's also a token but they have different concepts. Official domain and social accounts are also dead.

well, that one did a public presale (https://medium.com/@eGoldgg/important-presale-update-12b2cb5307e) which contradicts the statement "only received funds from team members and a few private investors "

The egold you linked in your previous post, matches the former. Here's one of their tweets about that

We understand that everyone wants it as fast as possible, but always keep in mind that we volunteer for our project. We didn't ICO and we are covering the project and developing it ourselves because we believe on it.

and there's a "pending exchanges listing" on their ANN (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2417370.0)
1866  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Egold withdraw in yobit works on: November 06, 2019, 10:06:55 PM
eGold never did any listing and if so, it was illegal by scammer - it was not official, be aware.

any listing? what is this then? https://i.vgy.me/nMar9B.png
Looks like scammer. CEO did say he had no official listing. Selling tokens is not opened again.

Okay, let me get this clear first. I got the twitter account from the ANN thread which @BitMaxz linked (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2253578.0). Are we talking about the same egold?

This is the website which is linked there https://egoldtoken.org/
1867  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto trading platform - Bitsgap on: November 06, 2019, 07:15:29 PM
uh, are you the same guy in the video you linked? or the usernames which are Timothy Forrest and TimtheYoutuber is just a huge coincidence?  🤔

If you are, then I don't understand how can it be called a review if you didn't use the said service. I jumped to every minute (or less) of the video and never saw the youtuber guy logged in either.
1868  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: I am facing some issue with Xapo wallet while withdrawing funds on: November 05, 2019, 01:27:20 PM
Update 2: The website is still having issues but i was able to withdraw with the app.

Somethings are messed up, they asked to verify from the site and when i tried to verify again it was not accepted and when talking with the customer support they too did not have any idea about the issues.

Wait. Did I get this right? So you were able to withdraw just fine without passing the verification? then why did they ask you to do it again? or you just did it through the app?

I already verified my account a long back to avoid these sort of issues in the future

Well sadly, since xapo is regulated and monitors the transactions there's still a possibility of them asking for additional documents or just resubmitting what you already did.

this soft one is similar to what coinbase has
In addition, whenever we have a concern about a transaction, we may ask you to upload a current photo of yourself to verify your identity and help us confirm it was the owner of the Xapo account who made the transaction. We then compare this photo with the photo and ID you provided during the sign-up process.

I wouldn't recommend using xapo furthermore, it's just a big hassle and privacy intruding. Go with something in which you are fully in control.
1869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to understand 'conflicted' tx's on: November 04, 2019, 11:49:15 PM
Status: conflicted with a transaction with 408420 confirmations
Transaction fee: -0.00100000 BTC

Looks a double-spend indeed. When transactions are involved in double-spending (spends the same input/s), the first one which gets included in a block will be the valid one and the rest won't ever be confirmed.

So if Transaction A which is the invalid one spends the exact same inputs (e.g. .01, .02, .01) as Transaction B which is already confirmed then those coins are already spent so there is nothing to recover.
1870  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: I am facing some issue with Xapo wallet while withdrawing funds on: November 01, 2019, 12:43:53 AM
Try with just https://contact.xapo.com/ and better reach out through their SNS too.

Isn't KYC mandatory in xapo? I'm assuming your acc is already verified or is it not? Just a guess but it could be the classic "we detected a suspicious activity" or something along those lines and you'll be asked for personal documents again. It's weird that there's no notice or something tho, just grayed out.
1871  Economy / Marketplace / Re: help post! any one know whois marchent use ezzocard?? on: October 31, 2019, 07:51:23 PM
The answer is simple. Anywhere Visa & Mastercard are accepted online lol. However, sometimes VCCs don't work everywhere, like to pay a phone bill for example because they want a card issued locally and not a foreign Visa card. Amazon once blocked me for using a VCC

But do you think there could be more than that? like something about the card issuer. Saw a bunch of users asking ezzocard whether X accepts their card. I expected the same answer but what I got was how unsure they were about certain services that they haven't tried or haven't heard feedback from.
1872  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Egold withdraw in yobit works on: October 30, 2019, 07:22:56 PM
It's not eGold's fault, first problem was a lack of investors during funding round 1.
I asked CEO of eGold and he confirmed company only received funds from team members and a few private investors but didn't met softcap to get project started. Such low number is not enough to get operations started including facility and wiring. So finally all funds were returned to investors AFAIK.

No announcement about that in their ANN and twitter (unless I'm looking at another egold). Shouldn't an honest man at least update their users?

eGold never did any listing and if so, it was illegal by scammer - it was not official, be aware.

any listing? what is this then? https://i.vgy.me/nMar9B.png

but eGold is planning to come back and plan a second round of funding, maybe more successful.

dead ANN, twitter, and for sale domain seems to say otherwise
1873  Economy / Marketplace / Re: help post! any one know whois marchent use ezzocard?? on: October 30, 2019, 01:49:52 PM
Are you asking where are they accepted then It'd be better to just contact ezzocard through their website or here. They have an account here tho it was last active on Oct 24th (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1075789)

I'm not sure if I got your question right but do provide more details otherwise.
1874  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Large number of customer account and wallets are still compromised. on: October 29, 2019, 11:04:22 PM
I'm glad that they're refunding their users but their given timeframe is a complete bummer especially for ppl who have huge amounts there. In the end, the users still have to shoulder the mistake the company did. I know it says "within" but the fact that they've given a long one means they're not confident in giving the refunds early.

I'm curious if the phone they're talking about is for daily use like you carry them around everywhere you go. and why such important info can be found on a phone.
1875  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sesterce / Bitech on: October 28, 2019, 10:46:32 PM
I purchased an Obelisk GRIN miner which ended up being cancelled.  I paid $1800 up front and was told I had to wait until October 26th once their fairy tale insurance paid them back for the miners and was assured I would get my refund at that point.  It's October 27th and I haven't heard anything from my recent attempts to contact your company.  Shady as fuck.  I emailed earlier this week to make sure their timing hadn't changed.  No response.  Emailed day of multiple times and this morning.  They are obviously thieves.  I wouldn't recommend anybody use Sesterce.

Check my post here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5177024.msg52218936#msg52218936) They said, obelisk has yet to reimbursed when in fact they already did (https://i.vgy.me/adij0d.png). If it was the fault of their insurance, I don't think they would be blaming obelisk.

You have the same prob as MAIK68 from the thread there which got resolved. I suggest to do the same thing that they did as much as possible. here's an archive of that thread (https://archive.md/WbuWE). Note that posts after the said date won't be covered.

You can start by opening a scam accusation.
1876  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New Anonymous Instant Crypto Exchange -> SwapFast.io on: October 28, 2019, 09:23:13 PM
So there are no partnerships? why is it stated in your site that there is? note that partnership is a mutual agreement so both parties has to agree. and I'd completely remove the anonymous word If I were you as it is still misleading.

I hope you get that the problem is more than just fixing remarks as your past actions sheds light to the future. Rn, your exchange don't seem trustable enough for me to try it.
1877  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New Anonymous Instant Crypto Exchange -> SwapFast.io on: October 26, 2019, 09:19:15 PM
So how is this fully anonymous when there's Cloudflare? you guys have no control over their hoarded data.

and partners with these exchanges? hmmm...how is that possible with your exchange having no KYC and maximum limit? Most importantly, I can't find anything that supports the statement as there should be.

SwapFast system tracks rates in real time from established exchange platforms such as: Binance, Poloniex, Bittrex and many other official partners.
1878  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sesterce / Bitech on: October 23, 2019, 07:49:24 PM
The miner I am looking for is only held by them (its second hand and price is very nominal). I contacted there support regarding these threads, they saying it's only one of there customer who is doing this on different forums.
They will check with PayPal for chargeback before I place the order.

Didn't even know they had paypal, not listed here What are the payment methods?

and I recommend to check that paypal matter yourself. The company can lie and come up with excuses, so better don't trust their word that much.
1879  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Seed Change on: October 22, 2019, 10:00:19 PM
@poweron, Verifying is a lot more credible in terms of proving authenticity, I recommend doing it every time before installing. Lots of ppl have lost funds because of fake electrums which could've been prevented had they verified it first.

also, take note of this
GPG signatures are a proof that distributed files have been signed by the owner of the signing key. For example, if this website was compromised and the original Electrum files had been replaced, signature verification would fail, because the attacker would not be able to create valid signatures.
1880  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Seed Change on: October 22, 2019, 04:06:56 PM
Yes you can. Just create a new wallet and transfer the funds there. Here's a step by step guide TUTORIAL: How to use Electrum (for beginners)

but before that, where did you download your electrum? did you verify the file to make sure it's not a fake one? if not I recommend doing so. Here's the official site and the tutorial can be found by scrolling down https://electrum.org/#download

edit: you can't change your seed but you can create a new one. Different seed, different set of addresses, it won't be the same anymore. Just to be clear since you might meant that based on the title of your thread.
