Prosperity, you are simply mistaken. Indeed there many variations on practice of Islam or Christianity (two religions I am most familiar with), while there also exist many variations on national socialism and communism (or rather international socialism), aswell as liberal democracy. All of those systems have rather strict hierarchies and binding taboos, vices and virtues.
Interracial sex is taboo in NS, seen indefferently in communism or Islam (aslong as the pair is married), while it is virtue in libdem.
Arming yourself and fighting in defense of faith or family is considered virtue in NS, communism or Islam, but is seen as taboo in christianity and libdem.
Premarital sex is seen indifferently in atheist systems, while religious ones frown upon it.
Similar differences exist in views on antisemitism, drug use, eugenics, social state, technology and role of a family.
Etc. Etc.
What does that have to do with anything I've said? I said that a theists views are largely dictated by what's said in their holy books, at least when concerning the three abrahamic religions, while an atheists views are not restricted by such a medium. Someone who self identifies as "Catholic" for example, cannot be against treating women as being less than men, because of things like this: "Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)Yet, we see Catholics all the time treating women as equals, but why? According to the bible women are less than men and should be treated as such. This just goes to show how clueless Theists are about their own faiths. #dumbpeople Not clueless. Not at all. Christians just ignore Bible shit that makes no sense in the world they live in. But this measure of merit, it would be Muslims who were clueless, thinking they must obey every word. LOL.... that's the thing with the bible, they preach what's good and ignore and deny what's bad, so it's selective much like evolution that they mostly deny, hm? That's just your understanding^^^. Wake up and see that most men are physically stronger than women, and that women are to be protected because they are less than men in this way. A woman protected by her husband will turn out being a great benefit for him. This is what the Bible is talking about. You should really read and understand it, and realize that it is offering you the way to eternal life through Jesus salvation.

Everybody is different. Because of this, everyone will understand the application of the Bible, as it applies to himself, in a different way. But, because people read the same words in the Bible, and these words have dictionary meanings, and people use the words in their lives, the Bible interpretations will be interpreted similarly in their lives. If a person doesn't know the meaning of a word found in the Bible, look it up in the dictionary so that he can get a clear picture of what the Bible is saying. Further, the thing that is important is NOT the person's interpretation. The thing that is important is the interpretation that the Holy Spirit places in the person's heart and mind. This interpretation is always one to strengthen faith in Jesus salvation in the person, and help him to spread salvation to those around him.

Translation....read the Bible and interpret it however you wish. Then lead your life trying to convince others that your interpretation is the correct one. And people wonder why there are so many religious splinters groups around.

Happiness for the hundred years, or so, that we might live in this life, is wonderful. But tremendous grief and pain in Hell will follow all who do not accept Jesus salvation. The mentally insane believe they are happy too. Does that mean you are just as insane? Your GOD thinks you are stupid so I would presume that this is a very high possibility. Maybe your insanity is stopping you from believing in anything else and are therefore unable to exercise free will and choice? He is your God, too. He gave all people an amount of free will. We use it to destroy our relationship with Him. Repent in this, like the true God-believing Christians have. Why? Because God is way stronger than you. You will only succeed in destroying yourself if you don't. That's just your understanding^^^. Wake up and see that you are stupid as your holy book tells you so. This is what the Bible is talking about. You should really read and understand it, and realize that it is offering you the way to a mental asylum.

I do not hate any religion. I only hate the fanaticism of any kind. And since everyone, sooner or later, will become fanatic about something, I hate everyone... equally!

Well, of course, you don't hate religion. Hating everyone equally is your fanatical religion. Change your religion before you mess up your life with the bitterness that flows out of mega-hatred.

The atheists never been a hatred of religion. They do not differ with hatred. Atheists are smart people and they just laugh at religious people. Hate applies more to Christians. That they provoke conflicts.

Contrary to many beliefs, love and hate actually go hand in hand. Both are in terms of its stance towards the other, a deep and extreme emotional condition. Hate is extreme emotional dislike whilst love is extreme emotional like. Also, just as hate is associated with feelings of anger and disgust, so love is associated with feelings of attraction and kindness. If you have great capacity for one, you are categorically fit for the other, and will likely find yourself in not only one of these states, but in both, though it's highly unlikely at exactly the same moment in time, though quite close to each other though, in terms of the same object, that is; although I would think even such a condition of rapid succession of extreme emotion for the same object would be rare occurrence by itself, as in this case - religion.

Hey, give my hatred back, you filthy thief... use yours, if you have any! Can't give it back. The devil created destruction, because it was the only thing left in the universe that was not already created. But God used the devil's own creation better than the devil could. God is using destruction to destroy itself, and the devil is going down with it. Come out of your hatred so that you are not destroyed with it and the devil.

So I see 2 threads of why islam hates people or why people hate Islam. I dont see the point of such a mundane debate based on religion any debate for or against religion would be stupid. Either you are stupid to believe what a prophet / god / divine entity said or you are stupid enough to believe you can change the minds of the bleak minded people who follow such a prophet / god / divine entity.
But since its fun let me initiate my own brand of 'why do' topic.
WHY DO ATHEISTS (like me) HATE RELIGION ?
Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.
Everyone has their own story even I have mine, so lets hear some of it.
My point of view maybe because A lot of those kinds of atheists had been religious at one stage and had a reaction considerably the same as an event that causes people to be racist. I hate religion for the fact that with its help it is far not the best people trying to manipulate other people for selfish purposes. The Church constantly extort money and do not pay taxes. Anyway, they end up hating religion because of what religion did to them. I believed in God but I was never naive enough to be brainwashed into some pathetic religion and used and controlled like some atheists were, so I never grew up to resent the belief in God, yet I still remain rational in my beliefs.thats it.

True, some became atheists because they've been disappointed in religion. But I've became an atheists, currently getting very much into philosophy of buddhism. I've grown up in a family that respected and was very religious, but growing up you start thinking for yourself, hopfully, and when my brother and I grew up a little, we realised that religion is just an illusion and empty talk for the people who aren't willing to think for themselves or too lazy to explore the world and universe outside the boundaries of religion.

Let's just be clear, Atheists doesn't mean you're a smart person just because you're an atheist, also religious person isn't always stupid, Tesla was an orthodox christian and also something from out of this world, but this is how I see atheists and religious people.
Atheists as people who don't want to be bordered with the line that someone else drew for them, I, for example, don't want to believe that that's how it is in this world, outside of it and how it was to begin with, I want to explore, research this world, how it all began, what the hell is beyond our visible universe. How can some people be okay with the explanation they are given? I see that as a little ignorant and lazy, this world and the universe beyond it is something that's destroying my mind of us knowing so little about it.
Religious people I see more of a tradition holders, people that find salvation and wisdom in their religion and they are satisfied with it. As I said some of the greatest minds in history were religiouos people. As long as you're not insanely devoted to your religion you're cool, moderation is the key. I can't write as much about religious people because there's more variability in religion than in atheism, every religion strives and teaches their own, but atheism is mostly over the gaining more knowledge while religion is bordered and set's rules in stone.

It seems to me that atheists have a better chance of understanding than religious movements. They have no hatred of opponents. But they do not accept those who try to impose their belief without evidence.
