Not sure from where you got this information. There was some turmoil in Zimbabwe, after the players accused the board of corruption. But no such allegation was ever levelled against Kenya. Actually the ICC reduced the funding for Kenya, but kept that of Zimbabwe at the same level. I don't see the point in funding corrupt boards such as Zimbabwe cricket. If that money was divided among the top 10 teams in Africa, then we will be having at least 4-5 quality teams within a decade or so.

If that money was divided among the top 10 teams in Africa, then we will be having at least 4-5 quality teams within a decade or so.

Sometimes I really feel bad for Kenya as they were at top of the game and reach in semifinal of World Cup this was amazing achievement from them, and they have very youngsters those can bring this game in different shape for Kenya but sadly suddenly by the virtue of ICC they lost this all and now having nothing good in this game even out of frame which is the worst. B-4 completely ruin the game in this country with now they are 31st rank in t20, and they are not near in ODI which is surely the worst happened.

They need good help from ICC, but they fail completely with their main cricket ground was also gifted by Sir Agha Khan as he was using this as horse form, just imagine what the hell is going.

One thing is sure with current system and approach by B-3 ICC can't be beneficial for this game, and we can't expect any positive change in coming years because this mindset is just having deep pockets and this is filled by IPL, so they are feeling happy and staying with same tactics which are not fruitful for game and fans.

Few decades back ICC were controlled by Australia and England, and they were doing things which give them favor, so we lost few good teams and now these two added a Gold Chick which is filling their money desire, and they have strong hold so most chances we will never been able to have very significant changes in game and system.

I mentioned this before. There is a major difference between ICC and FIFA. ICC is a business minded organization, headed by businessmen. All they care about is revenue generation and profits. They have no interest in spreading the game. On the other hand, FIFA is headed by ex-international players and they are not as greedy as the ICC. They spend most of their revenue in popularizing the game (despite the fact that football is already the most popular sport in the world). Anyway, that is the way things work in cricket. We can't do anything about it.

And that is one of the reasons cricket is limited to a few countries. They want money and they don't actually want to promote cricket.
However footfall is now a global event. People like watching matches - there is so much discussion about informative discussion about fall ball matches.

Kenya's funding amounted to around $400,000 in 2004 and now it amounts to $100,000 per year. If both the boards are corrupt, then what is the reason for such big disparity in funding? I don't see any logic in showering Zimbabwe with tens of millions every year, while providing emerging teams such as Uganda or Namibia with less than 1% of that amount.

That's very unfortunate that such huge money is going waste. Zimbabwe was once a strong team but after the current government took over things are getting worse for Zimbabwe cricket team. If the amount you have mentioned is correct then ICC has every right to ask them.

Few things are happening miserably by ICC and no one can understand what is logic behind this all but still we are talking about this all and trying to understand this all politics which is happening here just for money but still not good for game.

ICC never been a good sports authority we all know, but they are financially very strong which is positive point for them, but they have not fair and good way to spend money for emerging countries which is not good even they can do this all like FIFA is doing around the world and have no issues even they are not allowing Governments to interfere in their way which is good thing, so they also need to be powerful and brave in their decisions which can help this game.

I don't think we have total 10 teams from African continent because as I have watch we have only South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Uganda and Kenya if we have any better team then please share here because from these just one team is doing good in all three formats and other teams are not having solid infrastructure and other facilities for this game with most chances ICC is also not interested to give them any proper help for developing just because of this now Soccer is main game in this region with the help of FIFA and African confederation which is doing amazing job for the development of soccer.

Here, South Africa can do leading role but due to their inner issues they are also having no good interest so with this all no positive hopes for having any better results from this region.

However, we all know that they are not capable of taking powerful and courageous decisions. They are always obliged to depend on the big 4 for any decisions. I like cricket a lot, but I have to say I don’t like the way ICC handles things at all. If the big four is trying to control everything, what is the point of having ICC then?

It all comes down to that 2007 World Cup where the smaller teams showed a very successful performance, but the revenue was not very lucrative. ICC saw this as an opportunity to make money and the big four saw it as a chance to solidify their position in cricket. So basically, it is like a contract between the ICC and the big four.

How can you forget Nepal who is another good cricket side but never received icc attention just because they can't buy expats players ? ICC clearly is giving more preference to teams like Oman and UAE rather then focusing on such teams that are build completely from native players.

When a good cricketer cannot find his form despite repeated attempts, his state of mind can naturally break down ‍and in order to move around during this time, he must be supported. He should be encouraged. Babar Azam is doing that. What a cricketer should do. I think they both have  good relationship which is really appreciable.

After reading here and having some other details about Kenya I search and have update that there is no league, and they have too many domestic issues which are preventing them for having good team in cricket and this is not easy for anyone to start from scratch and bring all things in a strong system because government is also not interested in this case which is the biggest issue for them.

But, sadly we have no sports authority in Africa which works for cricket like they have for Soccer which is another setback for this continent, and surely they are still in dark ages in many fields which nothing is good happening in many countries with conflicts and personal egos are bringing some good damage in properties and others as well just South Africa and Zimbabwe are good enough for having better things with now Zambia and Uganda are also working for having better results.
