That would be disastrous for the sport of cricket. Now the pig-4 countries will become even more powerful, and smaller nations would be ignored. It also means that the sham eligibility system would remain in place, under which entire playing XI for "national" teams will be created 100% from foreign players. This will also negatively impact the inclusion of cricket in olympics. And the worst part is that Jay Shah has been elected as the head of Finance and Commercial Affairs committee. That will push the smaller nations to the fringe even more.

IMHO Jay Shah as the finance head of the global committee is far more dangerous than Barclay being the Chairman because i believe BCCI is gearing up for a revenue drama (it'll impact everyone), which was started by Shashank Manohar a few years back.

Yes it true true that If Rizwan and Babar Azam can do well there will be chance to win of Pakistan but match prediction is still on the England side . And if you see the England teams middle and top both order side is more strong than Pakistan and this is one reason to keep England one step ahead .  At the end of the day if rain  doesn't spoil the match hopefully we will see a competitive game.

England can be defeated by a combined effort. Pakistan have some good points here and if they can stay on the pitch especially top two wickets they can score a lot of runs. On the other there have good bowlers too. They can also do well in bowling action. But the Australian pitch is suitable for England where it will be hostile towards Pakistan.

Despite of all the weakness - Pakistan reached the final.
They have been certainty lucky to have reached the finals. Good luck to team Pakistan but I have at the back of my mind. Maybe England will win it.

That's true to an extend Pakistan win is mostly in hands of its openers Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam  but Muhammad Haris ,Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed are also performing very well batting wise . Pakistan balling is their lifting point if they want to win they should ball first and control runs and wickets (if they wins toss tomorrow).

No matter who got elected the policies won't change much.  The smaller nations will always get ignored while the rich board will do everything to make them more rich.

The weather prediction in Melbourne is not good for both Sunday and the reserve day, Monday.
So it may be possible that Weather wins at the end of the day which will not be good for the teams and spectators. Also, i am not in favor of reduced 10 over match. It should be a full 20 overs without interruption and DLS calculations.

Pakistan bowlers are bowling their heart out and if the batsman can perform well then they would have the ability to win the title. It all depends upon the toss as i think it is crucial and then the Pakistan top order has to perform if they are to win as their middle order is always struggling to score runs throughout this tournament. England have a complete team even though they have some injury concerns they have one of the best all round team in the tournament.

England is about to win the world cup ladies and gentlemen. they are just 10 run away for the vicotry 2 sixs and the match is in over.
Pakistan should have done a much higher score at least to win the match.

Today PAkistan and England has played in Final - England and Pakistan has a home series too and Pakistan performed well.
Today Pakistan lost their golden opportunity and their dream of becoming the world champions remains a dream.

Even the old teams like Bangladesh, West Indies , Zimbabwe performances are not as they should be and we have only 3 to 5 teams which are considered to be strong team in world cricket.

Well, why do you think that only Pakistan had the dream of winning the title and becoming champions? England was also playing for the title and they played better cricket and deserve this title.    They held their emotions in this big match and were well rewarded.

But that too cannot be enforced when political interference comes into cricket. The condition of Bangladesh, West Indies, Zimbabwe is like that, but in recent times, Zimbabwe cricket has come up in a better position than before. It can be said that their cricket has improved a lot.

I think there are other sports which are actually more corrupt, but that corruption is quite limited to the board, and individually. At least that corruption does not help to do anything with the sports body as far as I know.

And we can talk about FIFA if we want. I know Fifa is corrupted, and that is a big reason why FIFA is hosting the previous World Cup and also this World Cup in countries which are not famous for football.

But at least they are trying to give all teams equal value and respect. But the ICC absolutely does not care about any of that. They only care about money and that is why they also do not care about whatever happens to the quality of the teams playing cricket.

That is correct - although they managed to take the Butlers wicket at early stage - later they tried to build some pressure but in the end stokes took the match from their hand. Sam  also performed well. But yesterday was not Pakistan day. It was the golden opportunity they missed after approx 30 years.

Pakistanis and Indians are very emotional by nature and they are crazy about cricket too - there is no doubt about it.
But loosing the match is very heartbreaking incident for Pakistani fan but they are happy at least their team came so far.
