The Irish cricket team represents United Ireland (i.e the Republic of Ireland plus Northern Ireland). RoI is an independent nation, while Northern Ireland is one of the constituents of the United Kingdom. Most of the famous players in Ireland, such as Eoin Morgan, Ed Joyce and Kevin O'Brien have RoI citizenship and they don't have British passports. And also, just because a country is rich, that doesn't mean that the cricket board will be in the same condition. The player salaries are much lower when compared to other boards like Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

I agree here with your all statement, surely now Pakistan is under recovery mode in near future we will have some good changes in Pakistan team and Board approach because after very long time there are professional peoples in all set up, and they are doing good work for better and secure future of cricket in Pakistan. Salaries in excess of $2 million per year are not unheard in the IPL. On the other hand, we have seen players pulling out from other leagues such as the BBL and CPL, because they feel that the salary is not up to a level where they would be compelled to play. And in the end money matters for the players. Everything else is of secondary concern.

You are right. There is no chance of India Pakistan bilateral series since there governments are not interested. Indians were not even in favour of playing T20 with Pakistan in last T20 WC.

The Hundred is also having a similar salary structure.

The digital campaign starts today, cricket commentary enthusiasts who aspire to pursue a career in this exciting field can participate by submitting their entries through video recordings of their commentary.

It seems PCB wants to attract fans who are big enthusiasts to be a cricket commentator for Voice of Pakistan Cricket 2022. I was not looking for comparison of PSL and IPL since I already knew that IPL is way ahead of all leagues since they pay heavily to everyone involved in the league. What I inferred is that BBL is at no second followed by PSL and BPL. BBl is not even played by Aussies players, you can easily see the popularity of this league in Australia.

Well, obviously the money is going to differ because more viewers, and you know more revenue mean more money and more salary for the players.
So, I will have a really big fan base and far bigger compared to PSL. The money is generated less so the players are getting paid less that's as easy as that.

But afraid picture is quite different like you mentioned, every respective league is based on private investment and motivated by revenues only. In competitive market if you're not fit or your product is incapable to adapt then you're destined to fail as it should be.

IPL money is way more then ICC income and there is no comparison of IPL with other leagues. Due to this supremacy BCCI is dictating its own rules like no Indian player will play in other leagues, Pakistani players will not be part of IPL and so on. In terms of entertainment value, I rank BBL as the second best franchise T20 league, behind the IPL. But the issue with BBL is that many of the Australian players have pulled out of the league because of low salaries. The BBL salary cap is too low, when compared to the other leagues. On top of that they have a limit of just two overseas players, which somehow limits the viewership outside Australia. All that said, I can't deny the fact that BBL maintains exceptional quality and have made a lot of contribution to the women's game (through the WBBL).

Money was not very much into cricket since 2010 I would say but we have quality teams. Its IPL that completely changed the dynamic of cricket by bringing in huge money. But we have to admit that quality of cricket is going down in most of teams as evident from performance of West Indies, South Africa and Zimbabwe. They were once considered to be strong or reasonably strong teams.
