Even knowing we already use fiat currencies online, looking their are already digital, im pretty sure bitcoin hasnt any opportunity to replace them, sure some currencies are very weak and changing into bitcoin could really be amazing, but it would be a deep change and people might not like those. I remember some months ago someone saying that bitcoin could be the solution to Greece, but it isnt , all countries need to manage better their currencie and coin.

Countries, when they need money in their economy, it should be something controllable, so there is not much movement in the value of their money. With bitcoin as a currency, their money will be affected by outside buying and selling and price movement. Therefore, it would affect their economy if they choose bitcoin as their currency.  |

Economic integration in the world today, there should be the logical world currency, in the currency of a country as a world currency, which is not fair, or misfortunes. Although some people do not want to hear this, but if no one consciously to design it, like all the needs of the product, like being randomly created, similar to the birth of bitcoin. Bitcoin may replace the dollar, but not now. |

currently governments are supporting their currencies but in future i when the number of bitcoin users will increase and they will reject their fiat to use any more and will totally depend on online if they have the facilities. then government must start thinking about, and the they will have only two possibilities that either they will accept bitcoin or they will facilitate their users by providing them their own online currency. |

currently governments are supporting their currencies but in future i when the number of bitcoin users will increase and they will reject their fiat to use any more and will totally depend on online if they have the facilities. then government must start thinking about, and the they will have only two possibilities that either they will accept bitcoin or they will facilitate their users by providing them their own online currency. That is correct. They will surely depend on the internet and also the blockchain. However, the possibility that they will use Bitcoin is unlikely to happen. Bitcoin is decentralized and helps the people to hide their Identity. Therefore, if the government accept Bitcoin, they can not control the people either their money, which can not be accepted by a government. Therefore, it is obvious that they will create the currency which based on the blockchain and only the government can control it to reject the existence of bitcoin |

It is possible only when government supports virtual currency, right now power currency is most power because it is ruined by the government and paper currency is controlled by government. There are many illegal activities going on around in online with virtual currency, so bitcoin cannot replace dollar.
But if you research then you will find the most illegal activities are done by fiat currency especially with dollar and bitcoin is not used that much for any illegal activities. Mostly educated people are involved in bitcoin and these educated people prefer the peace and prosperity in the world. They only want to do legal activities with their fiat. Exactly only people are propagating this news about illegal activities are possible with bitcoin. But mainly bitcoin will understand to people who have good knowledge about computing technology, so these people will use bitcoin wisely for their needs. in this period the price of bitcoin is volatile , and is not fixed , in my opinion Bitcoin can't replace the Dollar at least in this year or in the next five years .it's really hard to replace the first coin in the world , it result many problems in the economy of the world.
May be some big country will adopt this thing and start giving us time to change it to bitcoin. Because everything is now online base so no matter what technology will play a role in the next few years more or may be hundreds years more. We never know about the future, all is depends on our government if they are really into this things or not. We can only wait when the time comes i i think it is not so easy to change USD totally to bitcoin, because bitcoin is goof for online purpose but i think it cannot provide all the facilities to the people that fiat can, therefore may be they are using bitcoin as fiat for some items but not as a permanent change i think permanent change will still take some more time. It will not change or replace USD, they will have to co-exist together. Dollar is fiat and fiat is what people have been using, may it online and for offline transaction. Bitcoin is just a tool to make transactions faster but without fiat, its value will be worthless. Really I dont think it will happen. Government is not that dump to accept bitcoin payments. I am sure , definitely in the near future all governments will interfere in the bitcoin usage. Actually bitcoin has got a lot of advantages. In the same time , it has got so many disadvantages too. We all know bitcoin transactions are anonymous. Just imagine if it reaches in the wrong hands and if used for illegal activites . Now governments are not thinking in that way because bitcoins are not that popular.But once when it becomes popular, all governments will definitely find a way to regulate the usage of bitcoins.

Actually bitcoin has got a lot of advantages. In the same time , it has got so many disadvantages too. We all know bitcoin transactions are anonymous. Just imagine if it reaches in the wrong hands and if used for illegal activites . Now governments are not thinking in that way because bitcoins are not that popular.But once when it becomes popular, all governments will definitely find a way to regulate the usage of bitcoins.
If thats the case, bitcoin users will not be anonymous anymore. They will be like fiat that all of its bank members will not be anonymous in terms of transactions. Dollars on the other hand cannot be replace by bitcoins in 15years or so. All countries must accept it first before it will replace dollars. Because if you travel in other countries, your bitcoins will be useless if you can't exchange it to other currencies. |

I think that can happen. I totally agree with you. Many people do not even know what Bitcoins. Some do not even have a computer. So I do not think that will happen. Hmm... Most people do have a computer though... The only true pain point to bitcoin adoption is the number of thing that can be bought with it. I can't pay my taxes in btc or buy groceries. So I won't be able to replace dollars with btc, even if I want to. I think bitcoin is now unable to replace the dollar, but can not deny that it will not be the future. Philippines officially recognized bitcoin as payment system, which is a national government recognition of bitcoin, there are other countries in the use of bitcoin as payment currency. More and more countries began to pay attention to bitcoin, there are more and more users began to use bitcoin. One day you may pay taxes or buy groceries with bitcoins. |

The most important thing is that, for the United States Dollar, its value is assured by the US treasury. But for Bitcoin, no agency will assure its value. Therefore the exchange rates are entirely dependent upon the supply/demand equilibrium. |

The only way for governments to know which people are transacting, would be a situation in which the government itself creates a wallet for each person. The problem is that people could create other wallets, and choose not to use the one that is traceable. |

Now governments are not thinking in that way because bitcoins are not that popular.But once when it becomes popular, all governments will definitely find a way to regulate the usage of bitcoins.
If thats the case, bitcoin users will not be anonymous anymore. They will be like fiat that all of its bank members will not be anonymous in terms of transactions. Dollars on the other hand cannot be replace by bitcoins in 15years or so. All countries must accept it first before it will replace dollars. Because if you travel in other countries, your bitcoins will be useless if you can't exchange it to other currencies. I don't know how a regulation could make Bitcoin less anonymous. The only way for governments to know which people are transacting, would be a situation in which the government itself creates a wallet for each person. The problem is that people could create other wallets, and choose not to use the one that is traceable. It is really hard for the government to do it. We can create wallet as much as we want if we like to. So, maybe the government shall coordinate this matter to bitcoin creators if they want to which I think is impossible to do. Maybe the least thing that the government could do is to regulate the price. |
