OK, so now that I've seen that they've actually shipped a product, I immediately ordered a Jalapeno using Paypal's "pay after it's delivered" option.
They say they have shipped a few units, but is it confirmed from any buyers yet?

Don't know, but 2 weeks is ample time to get some confirmations. If there's no confirmation in 2 weeks, I'll tell Paypal to cancel the payment, and walk away.  Grin

Yes it does require a great amount of skill to lie for a year. << that is sarcasm for the criminal. Here I know you won't answer this as I have asked you many times and you just never do.

Please point out any lies.  What's that, you can't?  Oh, that makes YOU the liar then, doesn't it?  Mistakes are not lies, sorry.  No matter how much you want them to be, they aren't.  I have no idea what you're talking about with regards to "sarcasm for the criminal" unless you mean that you are a criminal and you're using sarcasm.  I could believe that.  We've already established that you are a liar.

Quote
What were you shipping in the end of Dec? When you purchased your benches in Feb?  What was it that you were going to ship? To all those that made their decision to buy in Oct?

What on gods green earth does purchasing new benches have to do with assembly?  Do you think we assembled thousands of FPGA boards on the floor?  Are you that stupid that you can't figure this out?  Yes, I think you might be.

Once again, we shipped a very profitable FPGA line.  Do you think that just materialized out of thin air?  How do you think that was accomplished?  Where do you think the profits for that went?

Quote
Lie some more criminal

Yes, I do believe you are a criminal, but a terminally stupid one.  You are truly a moron, thanks for confirming it.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

its' all about your perception, imagine that you bought not an actual device but made generous donation for arthouse video production. Main plot is about some geeks who test some blackbox devices. It's very bording and fake, but hey, it's art. Grin

This just in BFL is officially shipping units to customers.

Not to contradict your bold and bare statement there.. but where did you hear this?

I spoke with a "Dave" from BFL yesterday when i ordered mine and he was confirming shipment for two weeks or so.

I figure if I were to buy one of the low end models by the time ( they were saying a few months ??!) it gets to me the hash rate boost pretty much wont be worth the investment IMO.

I have wanted to buy an ASIC for a longtime but repeated issues in this area have convinced me to just give up on the ambition as it's just too much trouble and I have a busy schedule doing things to get into the film/TV industry (get a real job and earn the conventional way without complications) and this situation just adds extra demands on my time which I could do witout (checking on BTC value several times a day to profit, checking on threads like this to check out whether or not BFL ASICs will actually deliver or if they even exist for me)

Are these ASICS actually out now?If so how long can I expect them to ship to the UK as I was hoping to test them out? Has anyone actually got the BFL ASICS in their hands and tested power use/hash power?Would appreciate feedback before committing to a purchase.

The one thing that really bothers me about BTC is the issue of lack of stability and lack of trust in everyone (including BFL).For people like me who are used to living in countries like UK where there are lots of laws to keep things moving along, they will continue to struggle in the BTC world until extensive regulations are adopted for BTC but most people will resist this thereby pushing away users who are fascinated by BTC but aren't happy to accept less than stellar things about it (new technology always has it's issues).

Thanks Smiley

Best post about BFL in this forum. Shipping and sending out demos to propaganda outlets are somewhat different.

It's a matter of perception for me but since my experience with BTC has never been trouble free (like it ought to have been really),it will continue to give me a poor impression as things like BFL not replying to my queries for an ridiculously long time only to find that an order placed will take months to arrive, even with the express delivery. Are these BFL guys actively trying to put people off participating with BTC altogether with their actions?Because that's the impression I'm getting so far.

An ASIC in my hands will be exciting for me but since I'll never get it within 3 weeks from ordering (like I did with the Mugen Power battery for my old N900 phone) I may as well not bother at all.Have these guys actually expanded on production so that deadlines will be a matter of 2 weeks or something similar?

My deadline is the end of April. If no units have shipped and been confirmed by independent sources, then I will send my question list to BFL.

It would be my understanding that if they were using their own product in a competitive market.. That it would be a grave conflict of interest and thus illegal? You cant compete with your own customers by any business plans standards.

I have been reading some articles about this place, people waiting more than 6 months for something they already ordered, they started selling before they had a finished product..

Pre-orders are not an uncommon concept. I was cautiously skeptical as well, which is why I didn't actually place an order until I saw an actual device mining bitcoins.

This actually makes me really happy. The difficulty increase from these miners would have been too much to handle.

So... some rumors state they've shipped something, is that true? I still don't trust them
