I think 2016 is just an year of forward step of bitcoin, as I am not seeing a great boost in the price, or maybe the price will boost after halving.
But if still after halving the price did not boost, then 2017 will be the best year for bitcoin and that years there will be a fastest increase in the price .

ofcourse it is now bitcoins are everywhere in news in movies i just recently saw a movie where bitcoins were mentioned and the hero of the film used bitcoins to sale some stuff online well the stuff they show was powder but bitcoins are not only for this use anyways
Well I endures all that was said so far by other members. I would like to add my bit, thank God Bitcoin has reach this far its been a roller coaster yet still Bitcoin has sustain despite the up and down of the global markets and the critics trying to bring it down. My respect to the pioneers and the early ppl that got in first and reaping the benefits. Lets hope for continued success strength to strength for this year 2016 and beyond..... |

I think it will be the year of the bitcoin due to the fact the halving is coming so that is really good thing.
Also the bitcoin is growing rapidly fast, you can already see it on this forum, and also the media.

2016 can be the year of bitcoin, but right now i feel there is needed more then just speculation. Just look at the problems we are facing.
Blocksize etc. I hope it will come soon.

2016 is the year for the application of block chain technology by many other organisations. I hope that will also bring the awareness of bitcoin to general public. |

I think everything depend in the halving happening this year 2016, so if the price will highly increasing so we can say that 2016 could be really the year of bitcoin, otherwise it's hard to expect such thing

We aren't done and dusted with 2016 yet.  But yes, I do believe 2016 will be good for Bitcoin. The block reward halving is just one of the reasons. All the other asset classes seem to be going down hard in this bear market. If it is a deep routed crisis, Bitcoin will shine through in 2016. Yes I heard by words of mouth of many predicting about 2016 to be the Bit coin year and many are very hopeful about halving might bring a great change in bit coins rates and bring fortune for some bit coin holders. Let's see it's just start of 2016 and whole year is ahead looking forward to BTC. |

2016 is a year of Bitcoin and continue to be a year of Bitcoin. Recently it has got a increased price and now it has started decreasing. Facing various such situations Bitcoin will grow due to the halving.

As we can see that bitcoin price got higher than last year and anything can be possible even unexpected. Just keep trust btc and hold it ! I think it will be the year of the bitcoin due to the fact the halving is coming so that is really good thing.

Maybe yes maybe no. Because today the price of bitcoin decrease really hard and it's make me scare. I hope the price of bitcoin increase so high after halving. if it happen, then yes 2016 is the year.

It hasn't been so far but the year just stated. My overall feelings are still good. But yes we have to accept it did not boost like we expected.
Prediction now is that happens with the halving.

That's the card we left right now that would make bitcoins price go up, if it didn't affect the price and go up higher, then we might be staying at this price, but, we can't tell, the year has just began.. |

being unstable doesn't matter when it comes to bitcoin. it has been like this since the very beginning. most people are used to it and are using the volatility to make profits. also, would you mind to explain what exactly you mean with "bitcoin can still collapse easy"? |
