If you are a student, I think you should not invest in Bitcoin. Trading or investing in Bitcoin all need the investor spend much time, even all time to follow the price and earn profit. If you let investment distracted your study in school, your parent will be sad.

I think a lot of people get rich suddenly after Bitcoin. Those who accidentally keep Bitcoin in a long time will be very lucky and very happy. Especially those who used to transact and sell with Bitcoin, whatever the thing you sell with Bitcoin .. actually the profit you can get very far beyond what you imagine. In just a matter of days, months, and years, we can double our money. That's a good thing, but there's also a downside. People who are already lulled to a profit given Bitcoin may be lazy and do not want to learn other opportunities. Hopefully we can stay wise in the face of profit given Bitcoin.

Historic note:  It was a guy calling himself 'atlas' (the Ayn Rand thing) although he had various other socks.  He was doxxed but I don't recall his real name.  He was kind of a crazy kid.  Very prolific when I joined forum.  He was uniquely annoying and got under a lot of people's skin.  A straw which broke the camel's back seemed to be when he threatened to commit suicide.

A stunt of Atlas's which I found quite impressive is that he warned of a theoretical problem with an upgrade (getting rid of BDB for UTXO tracking or some such) and almost exactly what he predicted came true.  It created an actual hard-fork, but the community was tight enough at that time that nobody exploited things and we dodged the bullet.  One person tried like hell to exploit the situation to get rid of the block size limit (and instantiate the bloat-the-blockchain attack that they tried repeatedly to do going forward) but failed.  The last (and nearly the only) worthwhile thing that Andresen ever did (IMHO) was to nix that idea.  Anyway, back to Atlas, the funny thing was that he really didn't seem to have much technical ability so it was a remarkable call.

Atlas once responded to a post of mine claiming that he threw away 25k BTC or something like that.  He was crazy enough that I believed him, especially since he could have gotten them for $500 and/or mined them himself.  What's that now...oh, only about $400 million.
