For the views. Content creators need to make it more dramatic, more drama, more views. Maybe for them, Haliburton deserves it or that’s what they were expecting from the start. As if Siakam doesn’t deserve the ECF MVP, but we who watched the game know he actually does. It’s just that they expected Hali to get it, look, even the odds for Siakam winning the ECF MVP were so high. Anyway, I agree, getting their first championship should be their priority, and they shouldn’t worry about the drama outside the locker room. I think Hali feels the same, because that’s what’s best as they are against a stronger opponent.

Looking at their stats from the last series against the Knicks, then I'd say both deserve the ECF MVP award. It's worth noting that Siakam was clearly better at scoring points, while Haliburton was better at grabbing rebounds and also had good scoring efficiency.

Pretty sure Haliburton is fine not making MVP. He doesn't come off as a selfish player and genuinely seems happy when his teammates do well. He can still get NBA Finals MVP if he puts on a good performance and leads the Pacers to a championship.

Yes, so I don't see why there are media putting some story behind this as if Haliburton is not happy seeing Paskal Siakam winning the MVP. And if we compare it to the Warriors Iggy winning the finals over Steph, it could really be hurting Curry but it did not and Steph got his own NBA finals MVP. And this is not like it's the biggest award out there, probably just to make it more fun having this kind of MVP's. They should be focusing on winning their first ring and then after that, maybe Haliburton will be inspired more to play and become aggressive to try to win the finals MVP. They are a huge underdog against the Thunder so that will be enough for him and the Pacer to be motivated and raise their competitive spirit against OKC.

I think this story is WAY to hyped up. It's an absolute worthless trophy, especially when you lose the REAL finals after that, which the Pacers will.

Additional individual award though it's good to hear youe name getting the recognition but in terms of value I follow you with your sentiment regarding to the real FMVP that's for sure value his weight for a player entire career and the recognition will be far better than the conference and in the eyes of those who idolize either Hali or Siakam they know and witness what these two stars did for the team just so happen that the final judgment comes from those votes that no among the two stars can control..

Game 1 usually goes to the home team, but I like the Pacers to pull off a surprise and shake things up early. That would definitely bring the hype around OKC down a bit.

Done with the poll and I vote for Thunder since they are well poised team and I think they are more preferred especially that they finish the game early.

Also I guess what happen on the ECF finals ceremony which Haliburton think he is going to be the MVP might create a conflict since maybe there's might a competition going which provably might result bad for their team. But hopefully I'm wrong with this thoughts but let see what Pacers could do. So let their game one performance since this might dictate the phase of this series and let see if OKC or Pacers would take the early advantage.

Yeah, they do not talk about the Conference MVP award that much. It's almost worthless, but it will add to the records of the players, especially in Wikipedia.

IMO, the best MVP will always be the Season MVP, where everyone could participate, and it's tough getting that because you will have to be the best in the league, and you are up against a biased media because of the votes. Just like what happened to Jokic.

It feels too long to wait. Maybe next time they can change the format of starting the Finals in 2 days, especially if both East and West Conference Finals finish it as early as this.

I'll think of it before casting my vote on the poll. While I'm favoring the Thunders because IMO their roster is better and more jampacked compared to the Indiana Pacers. But I cannot also ignore how good the Pacers in just trying to beat these good teams through the athleticism of their key players. I'm not sure yet and I'll wait before the game 1 starts or even before that, since this isn't really a requirement after all but I think that the majority of us here think that it's going to be the first title in the name franchise of OKC. So both will write new history for their teams, the same goes for Pacers, this might be their first one if they ever win.

I’m a little bit sad that NBA on TNT is no more. I’ve been watching that show for seemingly 30 years now (has it been on that long). End of an era for sure. I’m glad they got to have a little moment with Reggie Miller on the call for his Pacers to get to the Finals, but I sure hope the show is just as good on a new network.

It was an easy win for OKC overall in the series, they were in control of all the games except that game 3 which now does feel like a fluke, the only team that gave OKC a run for their money so far has been Denver Nuggets, and looking at it now, I think Denver Nuggets might have actually come far if they didn't face OKC yet.

I really hope the Pacers would get the job tonight so that we can have an NBA finals to prepare for, I don't want them dragging the series any longer since they're going to still win it anyways.

Pacers got the job done by 4-2 in total. Once again I must admit that it is quite surprising to see them in the NBA finals. They made a high effort in OTs and last moments during playoffs but I never thought they would make it this far.

Currently it is like 1.14 for Thunder and 6.00 for Pacers to win the NBA championship. Pacers' odds attract me a lot to give it a try for fun. Thunder are just playing very dominant recently. But I guess it wouldn't be a too easy series like 4-0 at least.

For sure it will not be an easy series for them. Pacers has been through out of many difficult challenges and their way to finals is not really easy. Also Pacers is capable to defeat OKC if we look at the roster comparison that's why somehow I can say that the finals will be going excited especially that both of them is eager to win.

Seems to be great odds for Pacers and I'm thinking about betting on this team since its like majority of bettors is going to bet for OKC. Just want to be different and try to take a risk this time and add up something exciting things while watching the NBA finals.

As for me, I don’t mind losing because I know the Pacers won’t go down easily, even if they do lose. This team has shown real resilience, they’ve come back from big deficits before, and that’s part of their identity now.

Most importantly, they’re healthy and fully prepared for the matchup. That gives me even more confidence in backing them.

I'm also thinking that the OKC will win by that kind of margin. But it might not be that easy as the Pacers did go to a lot during this playoff and they show their resiliency. The thing is that this two teams didn't have that injury reports that why they are still standing. And then they have solid defense and shooting high percentage in the outside. Going to be interesting on the Pacers stopping the high scoring OKC and it's franchise player in SGA. They will have to body him up just like what they did to Brunson. But there are a lot of players that can really score for the OKC too that's why I'm given them that kind of numbers to win. I’m seeing this as a long series. SGA will still be SGA, unstoppable, just like Mitchell and Brunson were, but the Pacers can still find a way to win.

What really matters is that Haliburton continues to be the team’s main facilitator. His unselfishness has been a key reason for their success. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone can slow him down, maybe Caruso or Dort will be assigned to guard him.

As for the bigs, I don’t think OKC will run a twin tower setup, since the Pacers’ big men can shoot from outside. It’s the same approach they used against Denver, even with Jokic being a great shooter. But this matchup is different. Every player on the Pacers can score, and what makes them dangerous is their confidence, they don’t hesitate when they get an open shot.

Nah, I don't think the Pacers will stand any chance against OKC. They might stel a game or, if lucky, even 2 games, but that's about it. Sure they have some weapons but OKC has the best front and back court defense. It's gonna be harder for the Pacers to get the open looks from 3, and they got plenty of those against the Knicks.
By the way, I think the Cavaliers have been the best offensive team this season. Until recently I thought it was OKC somehow but yeah, I was wrong.
