If they become the champs for this season, no doubt he'll get another MVP award for this finals.
If the Thunder can win the title, then yes, SGA will take the Finals MVP award without a doubt. In fact, the Thunder has no one else who can claim that award. But if the Pacers win the title, it's not quite obvious who could be the Finals MVP. It could be either Hali, Siakam, or someone else in the Pacers roster. Yes, these three are the contenders for the MVP. SGA alone for the Thunders but who knows if there will be another one like Chet but in terms of scoring, no doubt SGA all the way. And as for the Pacers, I agree that there are no other names there but Haliburton and Siakam only. If they become the champs for this season, no doubt he'll get another MVP award for this finals.
If the Thunder wins, he will surely get the NBA Finals MVP. If that happens, that would be another achievement for him as he will be the 2nd player in NBA History that win a Scoring Champion, NBA MVP, and NBA Finals MVP all in one season. The first player who did it was the GOAT Michael Jordan himself, and he did it 4 times throughout his career. Wow, thanks for the trivia. I didn't know that until now it's only MJ that has got that award. So, let's see if SGA will be the next one to claim it.

So we have no clue who will win, and there is no chance that we could make a prediction with precision, it's impossible.
No one really knows for sure, but we can all make our predictions and bet on them. Here’s the thing, if we just follow the trend, it looks like the Pacers are more likely to win Game 5, based on past results. game 1 - pacers game 2 - okc game 3 - pacers game 4- okc game 5 - pacersThe current series is more on identical to the Nuggets vs OKC series. game 1 - Nuggets game 2 - Okc game 3 - Nuggets game 4- Okc game 5 - Okc game 6 -Nuggets game 7 - Okc With the same manner of home court setup on their win. OKC manage to control the series on game 5 after barely even the series same on this finals. I think the same pattern will happen or just 4-2.

I'm not a huge fan of WNBA basketball but what Caitlin Clark is doing is pretty amazing for the sport. I think we might need to get a Caitlin Clark gambling thread going the way she's hitting some crazy stats and upsetting other teams. Dave Portnoy recently famously bet on her to get a triple double and he won more on the bet than Caitlin will make all year. If you're a gambler and you haven't heard of Caitlin Clark, you are missing out on one of the big stories in the sports world currently. Don't sleep on the WNBA. They've got a hooper now.

It has begun, the first bigger trade this offseason is in the books. The magic get Desmond Bane from the Grizzlies in return for Cole Anthony,, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and 4 first rounders. https://www.nba.com/news/magic-grizzlies-trade-bane-caldwell-popeTo be honest, I am not a fan of this trade because I think Orlando gave up a bit too much for Bane. He is a 19 point, 6 rebounds and 5 assists guy, so I'm not sure if he is worth that much. Since I have a soft spot for Orlando (because of the German connection with the Wagners and Tristan da Silva) I hope this gamble pays out for them! I'm not a huge fan of WNBA basketball but what Caitlin Clark is doing is pretty amazing for the sport. Truly, she pumped the fanbase of the WNBA, and she is fun to watch. I am impressed with how the WNBA supports her in making the game more popular around the world. It's not dull to watch it anymore, and I think many men are also watching them now, not just the ladies. They are growing, but I do believe they need to put a rival for CC. It's not Angel Reese, in my opinion. Anyway, back to the NBA. The Indiana Pacers became a heavy underdog now that it is switching homecourt again at Game 5. It will be at OKC and the line is x4.10 if Indiana wins. Sweet offer.

Yeah, and it's not surprising coz they’re still the underdog even on their homecourt. But this time, the odds are even better, though also a little bit riskier. Although the odds are appealing, I think betting on the moneyline isn’t the best choice right now. But if you're a risk taker, then go for it. For now, I'll wait for others opinions or perspectives on the upcoming Game 5. Although I'm rooting for the Pacers to win the Finals, OKC is really something. They're heavy favorites for a reason.

I know Bane is good player but I don't think its worth to give up such nice asset just to make this trade push through. Cole and Caldwell Pope is very good contributor on Magic also they know how to play their role so well. But hopefully we see Bane perform well and bring good changes on Magic since if happen they got issue on chemistry then Magic will be in big trouble next season.

I think it’s the right move, since those players on the Magic weren’t really being used much anyway. What the team really lacks is three-point shooting, and I believe Bane can bring that. Plus, he’s healthy and rarely gets injured, so for a young team like the Magic, he could be a big help in improving their playoff chances. Judging by KCP’s record, his stats have really gone down compared when he was still playing with the nuggets. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/caldwke01.html

Did you take the offer? Having a x4.10 odds for this finals in the NBA is madness and maybe a steal if you're a Pacers fan. It has begun, the first bigger trade this offseason is in the books. I don't know what to say of this trade. If the Magic have won on this trade or the Grizzlies. Well, we all agree that Bane seems to be an asset to the Grizzlies but if this is how they give him, hands up. I think that KCP will get more playing time then with his new team.

I have been following her since the day she came to the WNBA,she is a crazy good player and i think by the end of her career she will be the best player ever in the Women basketball. She reminds me of Curry the way she is shooting those threes and i think she can score from any part of the field. When its her day she will go over in points always

There's already the thread for WNBA discussion --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5493762.0 Dave Portnoy recently famously bet on her to get a triple double and he won more on the bet than Caitlin will make all year. I think that since last year, the WNBA due to her made a noise and people put their attention to WNBA. There's actually a good rival in there against her and that's with Angel Reese. But I don't like Reese if it's about basketball and her attitude but I like her face. The salaries of course are far from the NBA but this is getting traction and soon, we'll see more people also get into WNBA.

TBH, the Magic gave up too much for a player that averages less than 20 PPG last season. I mean I know that they want KCP out of the Magic after that disappointing season for him, but to give up 5 unprotected first round draft picks (2029 is top 2 protected but who cares)? For me, it's too much to give if your the Magic management. Sure, you got an offensive minded player that can help Banchero and Wagner on scoring, but will it be enough for the Magic to be in the playoff picture or at least against the likes of the Pacers, or the Celtics, or the Cavaliers? Like you said, they gave up too much for a player that's basically very small. Anyway, let's see if the Magic will make other moves again in the off-season, but this is a good start already with regards to trade talks. If I will pick who won in this trade though, for sure it's the Grizzlies... in the long run unless the Grizzlies will acquire another scorer that could be their 2nd or 3rd option in offense alongside Morant and/or JJJ.

This is too much to give! you are right pal, this trade is not good for the magic, they are not a team now to give it all, they need to build more so they do not need to give away those first rounder for Bane. Desmond is not a consistent guys also, Now the grizzlies winning this trade they have more pieces to collect the posisiton player they need. A back up for Ja and another good PF/C.

Game 5 of the series will be played tonight in Oklahoma, the series is currently 2-2. Thunder is in an advantageous position as they are the home team, I think they will win tonight, if they win tonight they will most likely be champions in Game 6.
Also, the transfer period has opened in the NBA and the first transfers have been made.
Orlando Magic: Desmond Bane Memphis Grizzlies: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, 4 unprotected 1st round picks, 1 1st round swap pick
I think the Memphis Grizzlies are the clear winners in this trade. Don't you think that what was given for Desmond Bane is too much?

TBH, the Magic gave up too much for a player that averages less than 20 PPG last season.
Desmond Bane's still young, considering he's only been in the NBA for 5 seasons, and in the previous season, he averaged over 23 points per game. So, I don't think he has reached his prime, and the Magic may have made this trade just because they see some potential in him.

Yeah, but still though, giving up one of the best perimeter defender, the Magic did get KCP because of that and why not just developed Cole then? Instead of giving up 4 or 5 first round draft picks. I'm not saying that Bane is not a good player, but the management have risk too much here for their future picks. You don't know, maybe on those future picks, they might get another SGA type of player. So let's see how he will blend, the Magic is really a good team now but perhaps they see their team improving with the acquisition of Bane.

And to think that Luka didn't get or the Mavericks didn't request to have future picks for him when he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, Lol. So how crazy this trade is? And then we have heard of the Suns really wanted to get rid of Bradley but they can't because of the no-trade clause. And then we have heard of KD that he wants to be traded and there are a lot of teams pursuing him. Also Kuminga might be in the trading block from the Warriors as he didn't show in the playoff. Also rumors that the Lakers is eyeing Jackson from Memphis as well as they want to have a good center. And if that happens, then Memphis core has been broken already with only Ja Morant still their centerpiece.

I agree, maybe because of those future 1st-round picks. Who knows if one of those will become a superstar? But if it’s KCP and Cole Anthony, I think Desmond Bane is still better on offense, averaging 19.2 in the 24–25 season compared to the combined average of those two, and he’s still young at 26 years old. Another help for the Magic’s offense. Both teams took a gamble here. The Grizzlies are losing another scorer, but let’s see if the one they get in the draft this year will fill that gap.

And if that happens, then Memphis core has been broken already with only Ja Morant still their centerpiece. Because what happen is rush trade. They try not to create any noise until its done and Mavericks want to ditch Luka immediately because they are afraid to pay him a super max contract that's why they didn't ask to much from Lakers. But since Magic really think that Bane really could bring good changes or make their team competitive base on what has been written on NBA website https://www.nba.com/news/magic-grizzlies-trade-bane-caldwell-pope So lets see if he could really meet those expectation they look forward to him.

The question is, who will be traded for Jackson? Big men are very important in today’s game, and Jackson is a big man who can shoot from the outside, which makes him really valuable for any team. The Lakers definitely need a big, but not necessarily someone who dominates in scoring, they need someone who can really defend the paint. They already have plenty of scorers with LeBron and Luka, so that’s more than enough on the offensive end.
