Also Kuminga might be in the trading block from the Warriors as he didn't show in the playoff. Also rumors that the Lakers is eyeing Jackson from Memphis as well as they want to have a good center. And if that happens, then Memphis core has been broken already with only Ja Morant still their centerpiece.
The question is, who will be traded for Jackson? Big men are very important in today’s game, and Jackson is a big man who can shoot from the outside, which makes him really valuable for any team. The Lakers definitely need a big, but not necessarily someone who dominates in scoring, they need someone who can really defend the paint. They already have plenty of scorers with LeBron and Luka, so that’s more than enough on the offensive end.

After the Orlando trade Memphis has a bit more money on the books, which makes it even hard to give him the money he wants because after the upcoming season he will be an unrestricted free agent. Obviously he wants as much money as possible and Memphis is currently not in the position to give him that. That being said of course it might make sense to think about a trade since after next season he is just gone (if they can't extend him). So it's better to get some value back instead of seeing him leave for nothing. I mean it's not like they would suddenly be a contender in the next 2 years, that's not gonna happen. So maybe it's time to think about the future and a rebuild.

Thunder is in an advantageous position as they are the home team, I think they will win tonight, if they win tonight they will most likely be champions in Game 6.

Also, the transfer period has opened in the NBA and the first transfers have been made.

Orlando Magic: Desmond Bane
Memphis Grizzlies: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, 4 unprotected 1st round picks, 1 1st round swap pick

I think the Memphis Grizzlies are the clear winners in this trade. Don't you think that what was given for Desmond Bane is too much?
I agree, maybe because of those future 1st-round picks. Who knows if one of those will become a superstar? But if it’s KCP and Cole Anthony, I think Desmond Bane is still better on offense, averaging 19.2 in the 24–25 season compared to the combined average of those two, and he’s still young at 26 years old. Another help for the Magic’s offense. Both teams took a gamble here. The Grizzlies are losing another scorer, but let’s see if the one they get in the draft this year will fill that gap.

Both teams benefited on this trade. Desmond Bane doesn’t perform well in Memphis because he doesn’t have enough ball time due to Ja and JJJ presence on the team.

Magic is a good team for him because he can be given a good ball time and perfect role for him together with Banchero.

The 1st round unprotected pick doesn’t guaranteed a good player. Magic wants an immediate result now they have working starter player.

I feel like OKC is going to win this game, they will be the champions of this year. It was not something I expected even if the series was 2-2, I think the Pacers are fighting very well and they are showing a performance worthy of the NBA finals.
This series has been one of the best finals series we have watched in a long time, so I am very happy. The more games we watch, the more excitement will increase. The team that can win 2 games in a row will be the champion right now Smiley

For me Memphis is also the clear winner in this trade, they got a lot for not so much. And lets see if they want to trade that picks also and got something for others sides.

About today game, i think Pacers can be recovered after having a bad game. Is gonna get interesting when we reach the final game, which can be game 6 or seven.

I agree.  The most valuable thing in this trade was the draft picks.  KCP is on his way out of the league probably after never quite finding himself after the Denver championship.  I'm not a big fan of Desmond Bane either.  He does play well and he had a good season, but I don't see him being a guy you give up so many first round picks for.  That seems like lunacy.  He must have fit a very specific need they have analytically for them to commit so hard to him.  Very odd...

Game 6? I’m fine with that, as long as the Pacers win tonight, lol.
Honestly, it’s really tempting to bet on them because they’ve been playing competitive basketball, even on the road in OKC. We just have to trust them, they might not win outright, but from a betting perspective, they have a good shot at covering the spread.

Right now, nobody is certain which team will win the championship. The story was different just before the final series started. Everyone was rooting for the Thunders. Nobody is expecting for the Pacers to be this competitive and resilient. Some even said the OKC will sweep the Pacers. Well, not until they stole game 1 lol.
So yeah, the Pacers are a really good team to put a bet on as they have higher percentage to cover a spread.

Vegas seems pretty certain.  They're giving the Oklahoma City Thunder -9.5 odds on tonight's game.  That isn't exactly expecting a close contest.  For that reason I think I would have to bet the Indiana Pacers +9.5 tonight and I honestly think they have a good shot at bringing home a win.  I am certain that neither team wants to be the one with their back against the wall next game.  Both teams will be giving this all they have.  I'm expecting a close finish either way regardless of who wins.

They always seem certain when OKC is playing on their home court, I don’t think much will change from Game 1 and 2. Still, Vegas can be wrong sometimes, and I believe the Pacers will keep fighting and make it a close game. Plus, this is Game 5, whoever gets their third win first will be more motivated to finish the series. So aside from expecting a close game, I think the right bet here might be the under as well.

Game 5 of the series will be played tonight in Oklahoma, the series is currently 2-2.

I'm waiting for Game 5 to start. Thunder are the favorites but I believe Pacers will give everything they've got. Otherwise, they'll really regret letting Game 4 slip away in their hands.

Looking at the trade, it does seem like a lot was given up just for Bane. If it were one or two draft picks it would make sense, but four picks feels excessive. KCP is past his prime and Anthony go up to a level. On the other hand, Bane has serious potential. He could level up more with the Magic. They've built a solid core with Banchero, Wagner brothers and Suggs. Since they'll likely be in the play-off picture for the next few years, those picks won't be very high. So from that perspective, the trade doesn't seem all that unbalanced on second thought.

Game 5 of the series will be played tonight in Oklahoma, the series is currently 2-2.

I'm waiting for Game 5 to start. Thunder are the favorites but I believe Pacers will give everything they've got. Otherwise, they'll really regret letting Game 4 slip away in their hands.

Game has started, the Thunder has somewhat make a great start. It's hard for them to lose if they started jumping in the first quarter and feeling comfortable specially they are playing at home.

Yes, we can only shake our heads as the management of the Magic gave up a lot to a none NBA all star. Sure he was a good player, but he was able to do that and average 20 points per game because Morant was injured. Play him with Morant again, I doubt that he can have that kind of average as Ja is ball dominant. So now they've lost their picks in the future that might give them a good player. But they wanted to gamble and take that risk that Bane might be the one that they are looking for to advance to the playoff and be competitive.

A good start is essential since you want to show from the beginning there is no doubt you will win this game. Also it gets the crowd hyped from the beginning, which is very important.
I am happy to see Isaiah Hartenstein is starting again. In my opinion he is essential for this team and I didn't understand the games where he just came of the bench with very limited minutes. You need rebounding and defense in the paint, that's what he gives you. Also he is the best screener on the team making life easier for SGA.

With him on the floor I am convinced they will take this game today.

I am betting on the Pacers here and I have this weird feeling of confidence whenever they are not doing well at the start. I do not feel any worries even if the Thunders are ahead in double digit in the first half for as long as the lead is not above 20 or almost 30. The Pacers can manage to catch up. But if they are ahead right in the first quarter they are most likely not stepping up in the last quarter or two and the Thunders could snatch the game from them.

This match has been all OKC Thunder since early in the first quarter, but Indiana Pacers were able to find some momentum towards the end of the third quarter, despite Haliburton's extreme struggle tonight.

However, If Indiana Pacers are going to steal this one like they did in Game 1, they're definitely going to need Haliburton's efforts here in the fourth, either by scoring or facilitating, because this is looking like it will go down to the wire.

Looks like the Vegas guys odds were right about this after all. 5 minutes left and the Oklahoma City Thunder are up by 13. Not bad as far as nailing a lead goes. We’ll see how this one ends, but without some sort of a miracle it looks like the Pacers are going to end the night down 2-3 in the Finals.

I think from the current perspective on the who will be traded from Jackson,  I think the Los Angeles lakers are kind of interested in acquiring jare Jackson jr, I think because of his defensive skills and his very good at stretching the floor with his shooting, however to me it seem like the Memphis Grizzlied will trade him, as what was said by his team offering he over $200 million.

Indiana made a passing mistake in the fourth period when the score was 97-93 and Indiana's rhythm was disrupted.

Despite trailing 59-45 at halftime, this mistake was bad when it could have been a nice comeback. Shai passed the 30-point threshold again, scoring 31 points and making 10 assists in the game and making a significant impact in the victory.
Haliburton is still out in this series. He contributed 4 points today. If Haliburton cannot contribute in scoring, it is impossible for Indiana to win the game.
The next game will be at Indiana's home court and if Indiana wins that game, Game 7 will be the last game. Indiana may have two games ahead of them to write a new story.

Unfortunately, Haliburton failed to contribute enough. Well, he had nice assists but his points were much needed. Despite that, I was hopeful they would still win it when they managed to reduce the lead to just 2 in the fourth quarter. McConnell stepped up and made up for Haliburton's lack of output. It would have been his night. His 18 points in just 22 minutes was nothing short of amazing.

Credit goes to Jalen of course. He was unstoppable tonight.

I couldn't figure out what Haliburton did today. I've never seen him this bad. He scored 4 points in the game, and those 4 points were free throws. He didn't score any threes or twos.

If Haliburton is this bad and doesn't keep scoring, Indiana won't be able to win the championship they are looking for this year.

Game 6 is critical for Indiana. Nothing is over yet. The players are going to win Game 6 and go to Game 7 where they will make Indiana history.

They have come back very well this year.

I expect Haliburton, who has been mediocre in recent games, to score very well in the remaining two games.

I really want Indiana to win the championship.
Today was a disappointment for me.

As I expected from the Thunder, they won Game 5 and made the series 3-2, now the championship is very close for them.
They will go to Indiana for Game 6 and I still think they have a high chance of winning there.

Jalen Williams from the Thunder had 40 points last night and was the one who brought the team the victory. He was very good last night.
Shai Gilgeous Alexander showed his standard performance and contributed to the team with 31 points.

Tyrese Haliburton from the Pacers was terrible, he didn't even score in the first half.
They reported that he has a problem with his right calf.
