Haliburton suspected of having a torn Achilles. Not good…

That's tough. 25 years old, breakout season, and then this happens. To make it worse for Indiana, seems like OKC is winning the chip.
In these playoffs we lost 2 superstars to this form of injury, that's scary. I mean a torn achilles means he would be out next season completely. After a fairytale run like this season that's the worst thing that could happen for them (next to losing today of course).

He was already injured and still played..  well, this is the NBA championship after all.
I guess that’s it for them, there’s always next season if they want to come back stronger.

For now, it looks like OKC is going to win this one, unless the Pacers pull off a miracle comeback in the 4th quarter like they did in Game 1. But without Haliburton, that’s kind of unlikely.

Just to bad if it's a torn achilles as it will take time to heal, although one positive note is that he is still young and then the advancement of sports medicine. Maybe he really thought that he could contribute at least to their championship run.

So from celebration to despair, when they won the first game, everyone thought that they have a good chance and then did. Taking a good 2-1 and it could have been 3-1 if they won the pivotal game in their homecourt.

And another thing is that it's really hard to stop OKC this season specially on how they started and almost defeating their opponents by double digit in the regular season.

Another achilles torn, I feel bad for Tyrese. He is needed the most on this finals game and that injury took him out. The game is about to be done and 4 minutes remaining. I do not think that there will be some comebacks that shall happen on this game. They did well for the whole season just to be ended this way. Undecided

For the game 7, still a very close fight and the Pacers still hanging with the Thunder. But it will be crucial in the 3rd quarter as who might get control of it might have a good chance to win the NBA championship.
Let's see how the game will end. The first half has just ended and we're going to the 3rd quarter, the game is very close. Maybe that we'll get an OT on this game. It's very exciting to watch how things are working for both teams. There were turnovers already done by the Pacers but still, they're on the 1 point lead as the first half ended but that's nothing to celebrate with.

OKC wins! Sad to say that it was a dominant performances from OKC after that first half, they push and really outscore the Pacers, though Pacers did try everything it's not enough to catch up and rally back, OKC is now the 2025 NBA champ, they completed  their dominance from the elimination up to this title match they earned their hardwork with a ring in their hands! Congrats!

Once again, everyone, OKC Thunder is your 2025 NBA Champions - First Title in OKC ERA!

Oh yeah, and they’re also the youngest team to win the championship.
They really deserve it, and like the coach said they played like true champions. Now that they’ve won their first chip, their confidence will be overflowing next season, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they go back-to-back.

Even though I was rooting for the Pacers to win, no excuses ... I gotta give them credit and congratulate them for a job well done.

Considering that Hali scored 9 points in the first 7 minutes with a good field goal percentage, I think the outcome of the game could have been completely different if he hadn't gotten injured once again. Clearly, it was a frustrating defeat for the Pacers because it was their second finals series in the last 25 years.
Anyway, congrats to the Thunder on the win. It was well deserved.

That’s for sure, and he already found his confidence even in the last game, he put up great numbers. If he hadn’t been injured, the game could’ve been much closer, and who knows, maybe they could’ve even won. But it already happened, nothing we can do now. At the end of the day, OKC still deserved it, they’ve been consistent since the start of the regular season.

And aside from OKC making history, Shai made history of his own. I heard he’s the first player to win:

1- Regular season MVP
2- Scoring champ
3- Conference MVP
4- Finals MVP

That’s insane.

I wish Haliburton hadn't been injured and the champion would've been decided this way, but these things happen in sports. The Thunder were favorites from the start, it was a miracle the Pacers even made it here. The Thunder are the winner in the end. Congrats to them.
An important championship, a first for Oklahoma City. SGA and JDub did what Durant, Westbrook and Harden couldn't. The Thunder are a very young team and they still have good draft picks. For 7 years we see different champions but in the next couple of seasons Thunder will be one of the favorites again.

Salute to Hali.... he was already playing not at 100% after getting injured in Game 5, but he still showed up in Game 6 and helped his team even with limited minutes just to force a Game 7. In Game 7, he started strong but unfortunately got injured again. Things like that happen, but it was still a great run for the team  pushing the series all the way to a Game 7 is already a solid effort.

Didn’t expect them to win this early, but they did.. I’ve got nothing else to say but congratulations to them.
It was also a blessing that none of the players got injured, especially Holmgren, who was a big help to the team.

I feel so sad for Haliburton, he played the game 6 and 7 with a bad injury, and now in Game 7, at the middle of the game he suffers alot.
I wish this is not bad and will not be a continous injury to ruin his career. Congrats to OKC, Shai deserve the MVP and OKC deserves the champ.
Their GM is really a  good scouter.

The expected trade of Durant is done...

Rockets got:

Kevin Durant

Suns got:

Jalen Green
Dillon Brooks
No. 10 pick in this year's draft
5 second-round picks

Is this a good deal for Rockets? I think a good step for playing bigger. Losing Green isn't very ideal maybe but I don't think the same about Brooks.

Durant is 36 but still can do pretty good. He is still one of the superstars and can help a great deal for bigger goals.  Smiley

Jalen green is too much to give. the Rocketss gave up  their future with an old man which is vary fragile.
What you can get to durant now is his shooting skills, but an old man which in 1-3 years qill be gone in the league.

JG can give a future to the team, or a young talent if they want to trade him. IDC about brooks, this number 10 is a guy to go also.
Rockets needs a new GM!

Haliburton suspected of having a torn Achilles. Not good…

I hope he gets better soon, it's very sad that he has such an injury at an age when he will experience the biggest rise in his career. It's very difficult to recover from this injury, he may never be able to achieve his old performance again.

If he hadn't been injured, they might have been champions. It's almost impossible to win the last game of the NBA Finals without the team's most valuable player. That's why I feel sorry for the Pacers, we should thank them for allowing us to watch such a series without a high quality roster. It would be great if they could be champions

Oklahoma City Thunder won the championship as expected.

If Tyrese Haliburton hadn't been injured, we might have watched a different game, but I don't think the result would have changed.

This was the FIRST NBA CHAMPIONSHIP in Oklahoma City Thunder Club history.
2025 Finals MVP SHAI GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER.
Teamwork brought the Thunder the championship.

Congrats!
I thought that it's going to be an OT but when Haliburton was out due to the injury, then it's more clear on who's going to win the game 7. Feeling bad for the Pacers, they did everything and their best but you know that situations like that were random and unexpected. Many are dissatisfied of how this ending went but OKC no doubt is the best for this season and they're also a good team. Caruso having 2 NBA titles now and most of the roster are still young and could still get more, congratulations to the OKC.

I believe this is good if Rockets wants an immediate result since those 5 2nd round pick is still need a lot of years to develop without any certainty of success.

Rockets already have a solid starter while Green and Brooks game is not that consistent and impactful. They are building around Sengun so adding Durant will make Rockets formidable next season.

They just need to work on their bench and they are good to go.

If Jalen and Brooks were just consistent, I don't think that the Rockets will replace them. But you're right, they want to build their next roster around Sengun and adding Durant looks good on it. They've got their respective roles to play with and also Steven Adams. Two towers for the Houston Rockets with Durant on the outside making plays together with Vanvleet. I've read what Jalen Green said about this trade and it was a broken heart for him and blames the stint that they had during the playoffs, he's not expecting this.

Anyway, what's done is done. Congratulations to the OKC Thunder. SGA did step up his game too by being the facilitator. He gained a lot of assists and madr his teammates play better.
The defense of Chet Holmgren was also superb. He was like a wall underneath the rim and truly made some great blocks that changed the pace of the game.
It's sad that Hali was injured but it was part of the game. Maybe next year.

This is always a what if while injury is part of the game challenge. Also even on the first quarter good run by Haliburton OKC is still closing the score.

Pacers manage to have a close fight even until 3rd quarter without Hali so I think his presence will just make the game more competitive but not to the point that Pacers will guarantee win that game since Pacer already lose 3 games with Haliburton on the floor.

OKC deserves the champ.
