The Boston Celtics are getting a little bit younger by trading Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers for Anfernee Simons and two second-round picks according to Shams. Let the trading begin. I’m not sure this makes the Celtics better immediately, but it is probably a good move for the future.

This is huge gamble for their team especially that Jrue is reliable offensive and defensive player for their team. It will be bad for their team if Anfernee Simons will not fit on their team since letting go of Jrue is total is huge loss for them.

I guess they better think about trading Porzingis first since I think they are fine as team without him and they can play small ball the same as before.

But well see if this trade would bring something good result for their team.

I guess that's the nature of the teams, Holiday was a good addition to them and they won that ring that season when they acquire him. But this season, it seems that Holiday is off, maybe he is not getting any younger that's why his game deteriorated this year. And it also come a full circle for Jrue as we all know that when he was traded and exchange for Dame from Portland.

Now he is going back to Portland next. It's a big gamble for the Celtics to see if Simons is going to be a great fit for them. There will be no JT next season for sure as Tatum will have to recover. I read a few days ago that KP might be also in the trading block for the Celtics so let's see how it goes.

For me, these trades are reasonable. Jrue Holiday to the Trail Blazers for Anfernee Simons and some draft picks if you watched the playoffs this season, you see how much Jrue Holiday struggled which is big difference compared to their championship run. Yes, Jrue is definitely reliable on defense but when it comes to scoring and finishing plays he really had hard time this season. That’s not the case with Anfernee Simons, who’s more of natural scorer. But if we’re talking defense, I still choose Jrue Holiday.

As for the trade between Houston and Phoenix, I think it’s fine too. Jalen Green hasn't been consistent like he might score 25 points in one game and then drop to just 5–10 points the next game lol.
KD, on the other hand is consistent scorer, eventhough the Suns didn’t perform well this season.

I’m sure the Suns will still look for more trade options. I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up letting go of either Beal or Green. If not, then Bradley Beal might just end up coming off the bench this season.

I don’t know what to say about this trade. The Pelicans get younger and the Wizards get out of the Jordan Poole disaster. I’m guessing CJ McCollum is going to have trouble signing another contract after this.

Jordan Poole is inconsistent, and lousy for a player barely playing above average but I don’t agree he’s a disaster, perhaps his contract is (considering his level of playong), but what the hell are they trying to build in Washington? I thought they were trying to rebuild but after trading for Brogdon, Marcus Smart, Khris Middleton and CJ McCollum maybe they want to build a retirement home for all the vets in the league, I expect a call for Pacers James Johnson next.

LOL, I feel bad only for Poole here. He's now a no brainer choice for the teams that he's going to get traded. But if he always this inconsistent, he surely will be on his early retirement but despite that, he's got the chips already when he's with the Warriors.

This is bad. If this is how the teams seeing with the trades that they're having and to avoid super max contracts. We might be in the era where these teams will not care about anymore with their franchise players, the players that will carry their flag until retirement. Well, we're starting the shift with that and the NBA will have to pay the price with that because most of the fans doesn't like this trend that the teams are doing when they trade their players. There should be the protection for these players to avoid getting forcefully traded. At the end, it's still business that matters on the league.

Denver Nuggets either have to get backup for Jokic or just trade him due to his big salary. Jokic wants better players around him and i think that Denver just cannot afford that so i wouldnt be surprised if we see again a big trade this summer and see Jokic leave Denver

That’s for real. As usual, business is business. It would be huge news if the Nuggets ever decided to make that move. Any team would need to go all out if they want to make a deal involving the Nuggets. If the Rockets are willing to go all in just to get Durant, just imagine what it would take for Jokic.

He’s currently one of the best players in the league and has been an MVP candidate for several straight years. No doubt, the Nuggets would demand a lot more.

I always thought Terrence Mann is a superstar , he's like Leonard when starting, he might become a superstar as he move to the nets, and KP is already a damage goods, great run with the celtics, they could have been a threat to OKC like pacers, celts also get simons from portland they said this guys is a potential superstar lets see when the season start.

Any sports league, including the NBA, is first and foremost a business and only then a sport. If the Nuggets do have these discussions, it makes sense for them to think about trading Jokic from a business point of view because, at the moment, he is still in his prime and, accordingly, he can be in demand on the market.
But from the fans' side, it's crap when the main player of the team can be traded only because of money.

The NBA has been like this for a long time, now it's a business. There is no management style that cares about basketball quality or makes decisions about teams like before. Everyone talks about player salaries. Who would want to let go of perhaps the best player in the NBA? A name that can single-handedly make a team a champion, you have to want to keep such a player until he retires.
There has to be an agreement on the salary somehow. It wouldn't be expected for Jokic not to want to stay on the team
