True, but there are some eagle eyes fans who said that Malik might have been doing it for years like when he was still with the Wolves. There was one game that it's just 5 seconds and it should be officially over as their opponents is way ahead.

But then Malik scored in that last 5 seconds to cut the lead and maybe fans are speculating that his bets is on the line that time that's why even if it customary that no team should score because the game has been decided already. But Malik didn't stop and dunk the ball on their court to cut the lead of their opponents.

Very suspicious of him to do that.

Let’s just wait for the results of the investigation. We all know that there was already one player banned from the NBA because of this, Jontay Porter was banned last year for violating league rules, and Malik is now being accused of something similar. It’s unfortunate because Malik had a solid season with the Pistons, and if this proven, its not only his reputation is at risk, but the reputation of the NBA as well.

Yeah, that is the brother of former Denver Nuggets Michael Porter Jr who have been traded as per @OgNasty.

But in the case of Malik, I will say that if there's no smoke, there's no fire. Which means that the NBA has a good evidence and they could have been gathering more evidences. Just like when they busted the referee before.

He has no where to hide his guilt of betting on games that he officiates. Although it makes us wonder that maybe someone close to Malik might have leak this to the NBA that's why he was now being investigated.

Porter Jr has one of the worst contracts in the league so sending him away was essential for them to stay competitive. Now they can actually get some role players that make sense.

The moves are coming fast now.  Jordan Clarkson is going to sign with the Knicks. A good pickup for them. Kevin Looney head to the Pelicans with Jordan Poole. Brook Lopez heading to the Clippers. There’s even some talk that LeBron could be on the move as crazy as that sounds…

It's about time we see the wheels turning. Until now there like only 1 man traded a day but now it's starting.  Yesterday I also saw a video about Lebron, cause he is chasing another ring. Sure he can help a team but he also is paid a lot of money, still. Not sure if teams want to spend 52 million/year for a 40 year old.

It's good to see that JC still has a team next season. Really hard to imagine him not playing though, I mean obviously he has a lot of highlights in his career with the Lakers. But his career prosper when he was with the Utah Jazz, winning 6th man of the year and we thought that the team during that time was really one of the best with Mitchell as their leader.

Great addition for the Knicks, they needed another tough player in Clarkson and I think he will be a good fit with the New York. As for Porter Jr, his game really decline this season and deteriorated, and with the salary cap of Nuggets, they really need to offload someone. And they will reunite with Bruce Brown for 1 year contract.

The Knicks would actually be a great landing spot. They already have a player like Brunson who can create his own shots, and Clarkson fits that mold too. He’s crafty, hard to guard, and would be a huge asset off the bench.

If he joins the second unit, he could be very effective. Now’s the time for him to step up. The Knicks are likely playoff-bound again next season, which gives Clarkson solid exposure as long as he stays healthy. Contribution won’t be an issue, especially with the right coach giving him the minutes he deserves.

He'd be most likely be coming off the bench, although the Knicks looks like a defensive team, but with the addition of Clarkson, it could be that they are going to be very explosive next year. For sure Clarkson can step up, we have seen him at Utah becoming their second option in offense. And if he is given enough exposure, then maybe he could be another great season for him and maybe won the six man of the year by any chance. I did check his social media and he already thank the city of Utah for embracing him during his stint so best of luck to him next season for the Knicks.

Clarkson at Knicks. Wow! Fans are welcoming him with joyful comments.

Knicks Fans Delighted To Sign Jordan Clarkson Following $14.2 Million Jazz Buyout: "Desperate Need Has Been Filled"

Quote
Jordan Clarkson, the 11-year veteran in the NBA, reportedly intends to sign with the Knicks after he clears his waivers with the Jazz. He was expected to earn $14.2 million in the 2025-26 season, but both parties have mutually agreed to part ways, and now Clarkson is headed to New York to join the Knicks.

Now that he got bought out, other teams will try to get him at a much lower salary, and I expect that it will happen. League minimum by the Lakers? What they need now is a center, and not a guard like Clarkson, and I'd rather see them pursuing Ayton or other centers out there than him.
I don't think the Knicks are pursuing a big-name center because they will have a problem with their salary cap. They need cheap contracts like with Clarkson, and they will be using the run-and-gun plays, which were working for them.
They can always just use KAT for under-the-rim defense, and Josh Hart can always take care of the rebounds.

This is great news for Knicks man Clarkson is quality addition for their team.

Now they have solid 2nd unit player and for sure that he can contribute a lot for Knicks. JC made a lot of good contribution on Jazz and became vital player on their rotation. So provably he can do the same and make Knicks more dangerous team to defeat.

Also a sad day for Warriors, Looney is departing on their team and he sign on https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25142790-kevon-looney-reportedly-agrees-16m-pelicans-contract-won-3-titles-warriors

This is crazy and I thought he would last for more long years in Warriors knowing he's so useful on their rotation. But this already happen and now Looney and Poole team up together again on Pelicans.

The Denver Nuggets are trading Michael Porter Jr to the Nets for Cam Johnson. This seems like a salary dump move as Porter is the better player… This is what management warned about. They can’t afford to keep the Nuggets together and keep Jokic. Their dynasty run is officially over.
Kind of a salary dump because they overpaid MPJ too much. They gave him a max contract only to not reach their expectations. For me, this is the win for the day when it comes to trades and acquisition. I mean this is a major upgrade for the team. You have a player that's good on both ends. Johnson's a good 3-and-D player - a thing that many teams want. Aside from that, they also got Bruce Brown back. The guy who had a big role when they won a title.

I guess it's good that Jokic is very vocal to say that the Nuggets aren't a championship contender team last season because the management are forced to make major adjustments for the betterment of the team. Smiley

As a Warrior fan, it's sad to see him going out of Golden State, but it's part of the business, and maybe they want to develop Quentin Post and Trayce Jackson-Davis as they're younger than him hence, they traded him. Maybe salary issues is one reason why they traded him.

Whatever the reason is, I just hope that Poole and Looney will be happy in New Orleans now alongside Williamson and Murray.

That’s actually good for him as he’s getting a bigger salary compared to what he was earning with the Warriors. And we’ve clearly seen that he’s barely being used anymore, probably because the Warriors have adjusted their rotation since Butler arrived.

There are also rumors that Giannis might be traded to the Warriors, and if that happens, they’ll have even less need for a big man like Looney. So in the end, it’s a win for him to move on and secure a better deal.

As a Warriors fan, it’s sad to see Looney leave and sign with another team. It also looks like they won’t be bringing GP2 back. On the bright side, they’re at least showing interest in getting a big man, specifically Al Horford. Statistically, he’s better than Looney, but personally, I think they should’ve gone for Capela or Brook Lopez instead. If they fail to sign Horford, who will be their center? Draymond Green? Quentin Post? Only if they can train Post to become a legit center. Oh, and there’s also Kuminga, who might end up with another team. Honestly, the Warriors are just wasting Kuminga. At least he might improve elsewhere if given decent playing time.

After failing to sign Brook Lopez and Clint Capela, the Lakers are still trying to set their sights on a new center.  With Myles Turner expected to resign with Indiana now, the only big man they are showing interest in signing at the moment is DeAndre Ayton.  I think Ayton would be a good pickup for them and you don't have many opportunities to get a former number 1 pick on a good contract so I think it is likely to happen.  They can't afford to wait much longer as there aren't many quality big men left available to be signed in free agency.

Well, I kinda expect some big and crazy moves from the Lakers any time soon. Yes, they are looking for a legit big man and it looks like it's difficult for them to pick up someone in the free agency at this current situation. DeAndre Ayton was good, but I don't think he'll make any difference for the Lakers. So, I am expecting some big names in the trade talks and deals soon and yeah, I was thinking about LeBron and maybe the Cavs.

I think it would probably be a good business move to trade LeBron and I'm betting the Dallas Mavericks would pay anything to get him and form a super squad (they have a pretty nice one already).  Maybe the Lakers can get Dallas to trade Cooper Flagg from LeBron.  LOL

I'm not sure the Lakers would actually trade LeBron though if I am being totally honest.  One great thing they did for Kobe was never deal him.  Even after he was injured and the team was heading down a path to irrelevance.  They still kept him and were loyal.  Trading LeBron might cost them that loyal label, and I don't think that's worth saving 50 million dollars for them.

I am a Lebron fan since day 1 of King james. But i will agree that the Lakers should trade LBJ to get better player/s for the future.
Lebron can still play and have a good stats for now and we saw that last season. But the future can go bigger in exchange of 1-2 years with LBJ.

LBJ can play PF  for the CAVS, The LA can get 2 good players in exchange.

Damn, that's a surprise! After Brook Lopez signed with the Clippers I already said to myself "well, that might be it for Giannis" cause not only didn't they seem to get anybody yet, they also are losing valuable assets. Signing Turner of course is a great sign basically telling the rest of the league to not sign off on the Bucks yet.
Obviously more things have to happen since Dame will be out next season and they definitely need more production.

Well, the Bucks have decided to waive Damian Lillard and Giannis is not happy about it.  Dame is coming off injury and probably won't be the same guy, but the way they released him is going to seriously hurt their future.  They still owe him so much money and they're spreading the salary over the next 5 years.  That basically means they aren't going to have money to sign anyone else after Turner...  That sure makes it seem like this is a rebuild move and not a move to keep Giannis...  I wouldn't be surprised to see more trades ahead for the Bucks.

Holy crap! In an unexpected move, Myles Turner has signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. They are really trying to keep Giannis around I guess, or maybe this is part of the rebuild… Either way a great signing for the Bucks and totally unexpected. The Lakers and the Pacers have to be unhappy about this.
I think getting Myles Turner while losing Brook Lopez is basically a break-even move , maybe even a downgrade. Lopez, especially in the playoffs, brings more impact in my opinion. That’s why I don’t think the Bucks were truly serious about trying to improve for the seasons to come.

Now with Lillard gone (which we all know the reason for), and aside from Giannis, the team has lost its balance. A trade involving Giannis is starting to feel more possible. I’m really hoping he ends up with the Warriors or at least a legit playoff contender.. just not the Lakers, please.
