This is Leonard in his prime and guess what? he is better than before. when he leads his team to championship without the help of his past teammates. Wherever he may go, he is making his current team compete to the championship and that's what I like about Leonard. the most humble NBA player I have ever seen.

I think Leonard is on his prime when he gave a championship to the Raptors, with the Spurs I can't tell if he is their best player but I guess he is since he won a Finals MVP award and got his firt championship at the young age of 22 years old. He has a different role now with the Clippers as people are already expecting he can carry the team unlike with the Spurs where the big 3 is still active that time.

Kawhi was great in the finals with San Antonio, he defended perfectly against Lebron and he fully deserve for the MVP title. However, he was certainly not the SA leader that season. At that time, Spurs would also be championship candidates even without KL. Later in Toronto and now in LAC, his role and expectations for him are much greater.

It was just for the Brooklyn team. Bondy explained: "To be clear on this, Kyrie Irving has proposed to his teammates they should start their own league, and it's not necessarily in response to the bubble situation." I think they are trying to suggest some things and Kyrie might have joked to create their own league. But why did he left the group?

It's all going down to whom will be called the "GOAT" once again. Basketball analysts says if he gets another championship in a different team then he might really be the "GOAT". I doubt they will do that or call him that after winning another championship. I bet they will want more from him before they could sum up whom he really is. He's a great player. We all witnessed that. There is no question he could really put one team for a championship battle. Will it be like that or another scapegoat will be made? Telling the Clippers is already good without him when they battled GSW last year.

Telling the Clippers is already good without him when they battled GSW last year. Clippers is a more improve team this season, they don't only add Leonard in the line up, they also have Paul George. IMO, they can compete with the Lakers or team Lebron and Davis as Clippers have a superstars too, and they have the best 6th man in the NBA which is an underrated player, I'm talking of Lou Williams, this guy is consistent, he can drop 20 or 30 points a night if PG and Leonard will both have an off night.

He's denying the allegations. I don't mind if it's true or not. But this is now the hard part starts for the league. The division for the decision of their players will start to crumble but at the end of the day, they have to understand that it's the league that has to be followed, not them following themselves.

It's not even a monthly salary for the best players. Let us remember that during the normal season teams also use hotel services. And there are also travels. A flight from one end of the US to the other costs definitely much more than a hotel. So its not a big deal.

It matters if you are playing in the same team while you have a different belief. Racism and then pandemic issue. It just keeps on getting worse. These players should start with something. Showcase unity using their career in hoops and bring people together once again in a peaceful manner. We as fans, we need that in this very bad days of our lives. We need hope and somehow they might provide it if we see them playing. With precautions because we all want them safe too. $263 per head per night? Or will they occupy a room as much as possible? The thing about Kawhi is that he never looks like the leader of any team he is in but he is definitely the best player in any team he has ever played. Is that a problem or a blessing? I don't know. But when your best player is not the leader of the team that creates both a lot of greatness but also a lot of trouble with it.
Kawhi could deny his Spurs past but being with Tim Duncan who is known to be quite guy and listens and whenever Coach gets angry at him he bows his head down and works hard rest of the team has to follow that as well, Kawhi is similar, when he is the best player but he doesn't say much and works hard that inspires other players in the team as well.
However the moment he doesn't listen and does whatever he wants would be end of a whole team and nobody would listen in that case. I think he is good enough to make any team a championship level team but I think he doesn't have what it takes to be worthy of GOAT discussions at all, specially not with just 2 rings and 3 finals.

They are definitely hit financially but not enough to be incapable of paying 3 million dollars for hotel expenses. NBA itself could pay those if they want to with all the sales they get and all the licenses and tv rights and so forth. However do not forget that team owners are not just doing this as a job, they also usually have other jobs they make money as well and 3 million dollars for a person who owns a team that worths over a billion dollars is usually nothing, not even increase of the teams value which would be tenfold each season at least. So at the end of the day they will definitely pay it up easily without a problem, hell having 8 games would cover that 3 million dollars alone with tv rights alone even if no fans and no merchandise sales.

It's just 2 championship from different team but who knows he will take Clippers to championship this season and win, maybe we can call him a GOAT that time especially if Clippers will beat the Lakers this season convincingly. I'm really expecting them to beat good teams in the West and they will take and easy journey in getting the NBA Championship against any team in the East, probably if Sixers will win and they will take the Sixers, I think it's a going to be a good series but I think they will win.

You might have the wrong impression of being the main man, it's not always the leader. In Raptor's case, that's not the case. The one who is making plays for them is Kyle Lowry and he is the leader, not Kawhi. Since Kawhi is the main scorer, therefore Lowry will put the center of offense to him. Kawhi is not a leader but he is just doing his job to the role assigned to him. Raptors trusted him.
I know that Lowry is the captain ball of the team, but they usually give the ball to Leonard in crucial times and it seems like it's Leonard is already manning the ball most of the time. Just like Kobe Bryant role, he is not the PG of the team but once he has the ball, he can decide to shoot it or to pass it. We may have different point of view, I respect your opinion but that is my opinion too. What you see is correct but what others see is, just because a player is the main scorer, that becomes a leader which is not, also depends on the team. Leonard is just doing his job because of the role he was assigned to. For example, I'm a leader of the team, I saw someone in the team is capable of taking the most offense and clutch shot, therefore I will assign him to do it. That's the case on the Raptors. Leonard is not the leader of the Raptors but just following the system. That was the best part of him as he proved he can do it. He leads the team in all aspects. Siakam and VanFleet also did a great job in playing the role they were assigned to that's why Raptors achieved their first championship. In the case of Kobe Bryant you used as an example, he is the leader on the Lakers while at the same time the main scorer. Totally different from the Raptors. Don't worry all opinions here are respected as long as no one will use a word that crosses the borderline or foul words.

I think any leader of the team will an easy if he has Leonard playing with him, last season when Raptors won their championship, Lowry's averaged on points has dropped but in the assist department, it has improved a bit, that only says that they have a good system. his stats https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/lowryky01.htmlThe thing is, whoever is the team leader of a certain team, if he is not scoring well, he will not be popular and people will believe that the leader are the one who are making most of the shots, that is why players who have good offense are more recognize than those players who are good in rebounds and blocks as basketball is a game of offense.

I do believe in that. I am just saying they are not innocent with the invisible enemy. They are also hit by it but they can recover which is why they want to start the season again to gain all the loss that was done by the pandemic. Anyway. Anyone up to a long reading for 113 health and safety documents? https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-restart-what-we-learned-from-the-leagues-113-page-health-and-safety-document/I just picked one which caught my eye. Biometric ring Another high-tech tool the league is making available to players is a biometric ring, which can record vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate and body temperature. In theory, that data could help alert teams if a player is at risk to contract COVID-19, or could already have it. More expense.

Agreed. Similar to what Dana White of the UFC has told everyone in a press conference, continuing to produce live sports is more expensive than closing down during this pandemic.

If this is true, then why did they resume the UFC? Maybe it's true that it's expensive but they would not resume if they are not profitable, they have a big expense, so they need to exceed that with their income so they will operate profitably. Compared to not resuming at all, no expenses or less expenses but people working on UFC does not have income, so they will struggle.

I think I will pass that, reading article was enough. But I would appreciate some tl;dr version, if anyone can bother What I didn't see in that article is whether families will join the players in the quarantine, or not? I know that rumor was that families will be with the players, i just don't know what was the final decision regarding that. I sure hope they gave up on that idea, for their own safety.
