He did shine with the Blazers, reason why he is still in the NBA now and given another opportunity to play in a team that has a high chance of winning the championship. He cannot be the main man anymore but he can always be a supporting cast to Lebron James as he still has that killer instinct in his game and he can take over a game if given a chance. Melo is in shape and he can surely contribute big time to the LA Lakers.

He did what he must have do to continue his chased winning the ring, after Blazers gave him that chance, we all seen how he performed though he is no longer the young Melo who can give a big help to lift the team but he's there when duty calls him to contribute.

Now that he has another good opportunity playing alongside with his good friend, not just the chased for the title but the enjoyment of jiving together with people who he love  playing with.

Melo still has it. Now it's time to showcase what he can do to help the team in winning his dream ring!

I'm excited to see him fulfill his dream, he already made a good fortune in NBA, has a good contract in the past, now it's time for him to get that ring so he can be fully fulfilled before he retires in the NBA. Lebron his friend already had multiple championships in different teams, so I think Melo as a star deserve at least one and he should not miss this opportunity to help the LA Lakers in their campaign this season, and that is by being healthy.

you can confirm that by searching in google, I did a quick search and have not found any information that Leonard will join the Spurs, and you are right, he just recently renewed his contract so there's no chance he can play in his old team. In addition to that, we have to remember that Leonard demanded a trade when he was still with the Spurs that's why he got traded to DeRozan, so it doesn't make sense that he will get back to the Spurs to play again.

In all those interested teams for kawhi's next destination, Spurs might be the last one that will come to his mind. He demanded the trade before and for sure he will take that pride inside him.

He already renewed his contact with the clippers, enough for him to stay unless he or clippers will have some problem in the future that may cause him to ask for a trade or a force trade we can't tell what future will bring us.

But as for now, we will expect him to wear Clippers uniform this coming season.

But for your chances to increase I believe it is necessary for the Clippers to bring another excellent player to join the team!!

They have 3 centers.

1. DeMarcus Cousins
2.Serge Ibaka
3. Ivica Zubac

Two of the centers particularly the number 1 and 2 are not anymore on their prime, and Serge Ibaka was injured and did not play in the playoffs, so they are really undermanned. Cousins as well are prone to injury so he is only getting few minutes.

Ivica Zubac is a decent center so maybe they should use them up since for looking at their center slate he is the one who's healthy and can able to help them run the floor, Hopefully Boogie can complete this season since if he get injured on the season opening nor early on it for sure many teams will get off to take him again on their rooster slot. For Ibaka he still a decent player maybe they shouldn't push him to play if he's not on his shape so that his can use them on more crucial games especially on playoffs if they can reach that far next season.

No way.  One,  why would the Clippers want to get rid of him. 2 kawhi already wanted out of San Antonio before.  Why would he go back there, that is a bottom half te it's not like they are close to contending.  I hear things all the time, most of the time 1% might ever come to fruition this is one of the 99%

In my opinion, there is no meaning in joining San Antonio Spurs for Kawhi Leonard. He must be happy about playing at Los Angeles Clippers. They ended the regular season at the 4th place. And in the playoffs, they managed to promote to the semi finals. They were eliminated by Suns 4-2 but they still had a productive season. Suns were a tough opponent back then.

On the other hand, Spurs barely managed to end the regular season at the 10th place. And they were eliminated by Memphis in the playoffs right away. They are way weaker than Clippers. If I were Kawhi, I definitely wouldn't want to go there.

And they are not building a championship team that will last for 3-4 years. The best is that this team will stay for 2 years and then the Lakers starts rebuilding again. Melo and Westbrook are looking for their first ring and this is the best chance before they retire, specially Melo.

You're right, but I would say that the Lakers will stay current roster only for next season, considering that they signed 1-year contracts with many bench players like Howard, Melo, Ariza. I guess this roster is an experiment for the Lakers management, and they probably will rebuild the team again if the Lakers don't win the title next year.

Every new team adjustment/roster is an experiment. But I think this Lakers team is kinda over stacked, and there might be some conflicts on playing style with these veteran superstars. It's all up to them on how the players is going to adjust with the Lakers and LeBron system.
I hope Melo and Ariza will fit with the current Laker roster.

Right, this is sort of experiment too, but this are veterans already, so for sure in just couple of games they will know how to fit into the system, who is the starting five, who will be the six man and who will play defense. Ariza might be the one to play defensive on the opposing team 1-3 position.

Yeah, the rumour has been circulating around after IT has a worked out with the Lakers. Remember that he did play as well with the Lakers in the past, so he is more familiar with the team and organisation.

They want to have as many option as they can should something happen to LBJ and AD again but the problem is they are adding players who are also injury prone. Other teams with fresher legs will outrun them.

The worst case scenario had happened to them last year, AD and LBJ get injured, no one to take the team to the next level. But if does happen happen, Westbrook and Carmelo might be there to at least hold on the team and put a buffer until either AD or LBJ healed and back in the roster. So there are pros/cons, as for the fresher legs, we have seen LBJ and WB even plays 40++ minutes per game last season.

Well, I really don't know.
Drummond was a good player and I also believe he made a big difference in the team. He is very dominant on rebounds, even though he is short for his position (208 cm/6-10)

I consider Drummond a key player when playing for the Lakers, and he could also be the best option at the moment, but unfortunately he went to the 76ers.

I think the Lakers need to hire some big man to help AD, as sadly Gasol and Howard are not in their prime.
The Lakers have a good team in regards to PG, SG and SF. (LeBron, Westbrook and Melo)

Probably yes, we might see Lebron and AD having long and good rest if Westbrook can take over the games with Anthony, so that is a positive for the team. I guess they know how to take advantage of Westbrook strengths, Russ was push to the limit in Wizards, gets injured but still played like a Russ of old dunking balls around and pumping his chest. For sure we are going to see him like that in the Lakers most often.

In my opinion, LeBron James is no longer the best player in the NBA.  

He is 36.  Soon 37 years old.  For a man, this is no longer young, but middle age.  It seems that 37 years is a little, but it is easier for young athletes to jump.  And their reaction is better.  

Yes, he's a great player.  

However, not the best in the world.  In addition, LeBron has a lot of microtraumas.  There is no big sport without injuries.  All athletes know this.  The effect of microtrauma accumulates over time and begins to affect the quality of the game.  

Unfortunately, this is a harsh reality.  Suffering from pain it is difficult to show the high class of the game.  

Even though LeBron James has amazing willpower.

As a support player, he is very useful.
