76ers doesn't need a player who can't shoot. 76ers don't need a unreliable player like him. He might be an all-star and he might be good in defending but when you don't know how to shoot the ball... I just hope that Simmons' next team will be the one who can change him especially in his shooting. What 76ers need is a point guard that can also shoot. We know that Simmons is good at playmaking but his shooting ability especially free throw shooting are just bad.

For Simmons, putting him into another team might be an another chapter of his career and he might change there. The only problem right now is that 76ers is demanding too much when they want to trade him but with this, his value might decrease.. or not. Nevertheless, Simmons in another team might be beneficial for him and his career as well. I'm waiting for a long time into where will Simmons land .

It's time for him to go, the kid has the talent but maybe the management of the 76ers was not able to develop him fully to become a star. It was all Embiid in the beginning, that's why they are so predictable in the playoff, but if ever the Warriors will acquire him through trade, then for sure we will see a much more improve Simmons.

It will be exciting to see on whether he finds a team that could fit his style or play or not.
Sad truth in the NBA, If you have low percentage of shooting, you're most probably just a mediocre player. Simons became overrated when he gradually losses his shooting percentage including ft percentage.

Embiid is indeed very effective with his role in 76ers and you're right he needs to step up and be an effective team captain as well. Maybe If they could replace Simons with a more effective player than him, they'll probably have a shot at the conference finals.

Seeing the same scenarios, when Embiid gases out, everything falls with him. If we see how they've played the playoffs against the Hawks. Each time Embiid loses control, the entire team suffers. It's not just because Simmon can't shoot FT but he also mentally affected that the system mostly circling with Embiid.

Just my two cents, I see the rotations are not well balance; they have Howard to give some quality minutes for Embiid; he doesn't need to play that long as they've still got Harris and Curry who can also convert good offenses. They need to maximize all those stars who can contribute after releasing Simmons and whoever replaces him should also be active in helping the entire team and not to keep relying on how Embiid will play the game.

With Simmons, I don't want to conclude still how he already is because I think that he can still improve if he will be traded into another team. Now if he will be traded and nothing changes then Simmons really is the problem and after that, no one for sure will get him so the ending is he will go back to Australia and play to his national team.

With Embiid, I agree with you that I don't see him as a floor general like how CP3 is doing in the Suns. Yes he is an all-star but being the captain of the team? I don't think that he can fulfill that role too. Another all-star aside from him might change the whole team but with only Embiid, I don't see them winning a championship.

So he really need to learn to shot otherwise, no teams are going to get him. Not to force him, but to let him know that importance of free throws and making it as it spells the difference between winning and losing. Giannis is a bad shooter in free throws, but you can see that he is trying his best even at three points. Unlike Ben who haven't even try to shoot for three because he is afraid that he will missed it.

This is why Shaq cried when Giannis took the championship. The game changed a lot but what brought the Bucks to the championship is a star who specialized in inside offense. Yes, I agree it's the norm now but that doesn't mean a high percentage shooting team will always be on top.
Defense is also one of the key in winning games and Ben have that. He is tall, he is fast and can steal the ball and I bet coaches who focus with defense will try their luck with this guy.

Simmons has this qualification, he can defend and with his height, his speed is his advantage. Coach who knows how to work with this kind of player can maximize him, and all those potential inside him might help the team, whichever he may go. Giving him proper mentorship for him to dedicate himself to keep improving his skills and talents.

I think Simmons is the problem, considering that he ignored team management and teammates during the off-season. It shows that he is not resistant to stress. So I doubt that Simmons can improve even if he will play next season in another team. By the way, there are rumors that Simmons might be traded to the Kings.

If anyone can improve Bens shooter that would be Chip Engelland who is the shooting coach for San Antonio Spurs for the past 16 years or so, he is the one who fixed Tony Parkers shooting most famously back in the day and even helped Kawhi to gain some shooting as well. So, I think if anyone could help Ben become a decent shooter it would be him, however I do not feel like Ben would be ready to give it a go psychologically, dude has been a horrible shooter all his life forever and people mock him for it, people even leave him wide open on the three point line and because of that dude lacks the scoring numbers that he could had if he was guarded a bit closer.

Spurs also do not have too many shooters in the team right now, they are getting better over course of years because they are young and learning, but another non-shooter on the team doesn't feel like what they need.

That's the most unforgettable moment we have in that series, actually in the first few series where they dominated their opponent, Simons was contributing his usual I guess, but it's different with the Hawks series as they have a strategy to foul him everytime he had the ball and that probably has affected his confidence that every time he had the ball, he will just pass it as he does not trust his free throw shooting.

Anything outside of 7ft is an issue for him.  He can drive and when he is at the rim he is fine.  The fact that not every player can't shoot at least 80% ALL the time is crazy.  I mean this is what they do for a job.  When I was playing all the time free throws become easy.  Find the range and repeat the motion not really that hard.  Not saying there isn't pressure situations but consistently they should be able to hit.

But to be a complete NBA player in today's era, you really need to shot outside including beyond the arc.  In terms of assists, again we can talk about Magic and Stockton, those two are good free throw shooters as well, so not just in assists department. Yeah, still young but he should developed by now, he has been in the NBA already, but today standards it seems that he is going backward. He is aggressive so chances are he is going to be fouled and sent to the free throws and then makes 1 out 2 or worst miss both.
