For the first game of the series, I thought like that Warriors would manage to win and start strongly. They would have really won the game too in fact. The fourth quarter started with a very good advantage for Warriors. They just couldn't kept their consistency going in this one and Celtics showed a fascinating performance. Their high level of determination was a big help for them to win the game by 120-108. I wondered what went wrong with Warriors in this quarter too. All in all, I support Celtics so I'm happy about this start.

Finals started great, what a game we watched! Boston Celtics played last minutes excellent and made a great run against Warriors. Jaylen Brown and Al Horford were the heroes. Now it's Tatum's turn, he should make game one up in other games in the series. 3/17 wouldn't be acceptable in finals but luckily other players carried the team. Al Horford played his first finals appearance as well and he played the best of him. Derrick White was on stage when Tatum disappeared. It was really a team play and it defines Boston. I hope to see more from them.

Seen every stat on Twitter about how smart was going to shut down Curry. Well 2 minutes left in the 3rd and Curry already has a 30 piece and up by 12. They can't let Curry get off shots like he is and pretend they have a shot. This is vetern Curry. He just might own these finals.
Marcus Smart cannot really handle Curry on his own, he won't get anything if he will guard and chase Curry all the time because we quite knew that Curry can't be guarded that easily even if there's a time that Smart has successfully limited Curry's play. The Finals will be different play compared to the regular games. But in the 4th quarter, Al Horford exploded and they had a 17-0 run leaving the Warriors stunned with no points made for almost 5 minutes in the same quarter. While the remaining roster made the play even better that's why they managed to steal 1 game. The Warriors better wake up the next game because they cannot really afford to lose a game again in their homecourt for two consecutive games.

Really an unbelievble fourth quarter by Boston Celtics what a win for them and what a comeback. Warriors if they want to win the title just cannot make mistakes like this and allow things like this to happen. Celtics in a good position now with a break up

I was waiting for Warriors to win this game to be honest. I'm supporting Celtics in the finals by the way but I was expecting Warriors to take advantage of playing in home court first. However Celtics' comeback in the final quarter was incredible to watch. They performed insanely well and Warriors were desperate about resisting them. If Curry was able to maintain his great performance later on as well then maybe things would have been much more different for Warriors. Anyway, I expect Warriors to win the second game and bring it to a 1-1 tie.

it is a pressure on Warriors to must win this one, and one in Boston to get back home if Celtics win next game, that would be really hard position yeah, Warriors had it all, overturn like this one does not happen often, but eventually, it can make a difference in the end, Boston can become champion with three home wins

I am super shocked, beyond shocked to be fair. Curry played such a great game, and Warriors still lost, more than that, they didn't even took a huge lead during the game neither. Normally, when Curry plays like that, other players play good enough to provide "something" that will make sure that they are up ahead a lot, especially in third quarter as we all know.
Celtics never let go, and they were always there no matter how much Warriors scored. Another amazing thing is that, normally Celtics plays via their guards and wings, and this game they put the ball a lot more closer to the rim knowing Warriors have a weak defense inside. Amazing work.

Just like the rest of you guys, I'm also shocked by the outcome. But the Warriors need to let go of this one and look forward for game 2. They didn't play bad, it's that the Boston execute their plays and put a good defense on the Warriors. So still a long series, this is just 1 game and now it's time for the Warriors to response to show their championship experience.

I only watched the last 7 minutes and I thought that GSW would win on those times but it's still a long minute for the Celtics and I've seen how they managed to closely tie it and that was the moment of White. I was amazed and surprised that they won the first match of this series. And by the 2nd game, I think it will boost their confidence that they're able to win at the first match in this finals and it's GSW that they've won against. But, it's too early to celebrate, more games to come.

They will play much better defense in game 2 and not slack so much. Game 2 will be a warriors blowout.

Horford did a great job, and I don't think anyone expected such an incredible comeback from the Celtics in the last quarter. By the way, Horford could definitely contend for the MVP finals award if he performs as well in the upcoming games. At the same time, it was only the first game, and it's too early to draw any assumptions because the Warriors clearly aren't going to give up.

They will play much better, there's no doubt about that but the Celtics can be calm now with a steal of 1 game in the home of the opponent. That's one of the goals of every lower seed team to avoid a sweep or a 3-0 run that we have known for a long time cannot be recovered. Also, expect the Celtics to play better this Game 2 with Tatum adjusting, and because the Warriors are confused about who the offensive guy is, he may make 20+ points or even better.

Well, they better win in Game 2 or else the Celtics might use the broomsticks. It's the three point again of the Celtics. It's like the Warriors taste their own medicine because we know that the Warriors are one of the best teams in three-point shooting and now they got defeated because of three point shooting. Maybe they need to defend the three-point area as well because the Celtics are a good three-point shooting as well. They defeated the Bucks in Game 7 with that as well.

Yeah. He's commended on the first game and I hope that the fire that has been built on that game will replenish and will make them still on great hype. I want this type of basketball every finals, although the hype is on the highest whenever the season is getting there. At the same time, it was only the first game, and it's too early to draw any assumptions because the Warriors clearly aren't going to give up.
That's for sure, they're still one of the champs for the past years and they've been experienced on this.

I thought he was going to break another record. How many was that? 5 or 6 from deep? And that was just the first quarter. I though the hot hands will stay and he let go more of those three's in the 2nd quarter but he got cold all of a sudden and he just made like 13 point for 3 quarters. Maybe that's why his face cannot be painted right when the game ended. He was shocked. Jayson Tatum on the other hand made 13 assists which is a brand new stats for him. He cannot score so he became the facilitator, wise adjustment.

I don't think there's anymore or any less pressure on the Warriors looking forward to game 2. They gave up too many open looks in game 1 and the Celtics made em pay for it. They will play much better defense in game 2 and not slack so much. Game 2 will be a warriors blowout. They don't need to be pressured or they might get swept if they lost again. It's only Game 1 and I think the Warriors will go to the drawing boards, adjust base on their mistakes on the first game. Too early for the Warriors to feel pressure, that was just the 1st game of the series and the Celtics needed 3 more wins so they still have a chance. They should focus on their mistakes and what they lack in the previous game so that they will play prepared this time rather than being overwhelmed again. Now that they know what's the capabilities of the Celtics, they should step their game more because if not, surely a sweep will possible.

That was a fourth quarter the Celtics dreamed about. Horford capped it off by helping knock down some threes... Still can't believe the Warriors got outscored 40 to 16 in the final 12 minutes. I haven't seen a collapse from them like that on the big stage. It seemed like nothing was working for them. A far cry from the first quarter where it seemed like Steph was going to go for 60. Hard to make a future prediction based on what I saw, so I'm sticking with the Warriors for now. We'll call it a bad run for them at the end of the game and hope they get back to normal on Sunday.
Noticed that too from Tatum, he didn't force himself to score but made a wiser decisions, 13 assist really help them in winning the game, while it's more on Harford's heroic offense but the team that didn't give up snatch a game from the home team. The home court advantage is now for Boston, if they can take continue being aggressive the chance to keep that home court advantage is really possible, too early to conclude if they can beat the warriors in these finals, but who knows what they can bring during the next following games.

People, including me, thought Warriors were just much more experienced and Celtics are coming to finals when they are much more tired. But that amazing fourth quarter proved almost everyone wrong. What an amazing period of basketball Celtics had. They stopped Warriors and even without their biggest star on paper(Tatum didn't contribute so much) they had the 40 points fourth quarter on the NBA finals and in away game. How legendary was that. Celtics seriously spiced up the NBA for me in this playoffs. Huge respect.

Big respect to them, they are a legit contender for the NBA Championship, though the Warriors have the experience, it doesn't matter to the Celtics because they are hungry to win the championship this season. Yeah, Tatum had an off night, but that does not make the Celtics off, they just find the hot man and that was Horford and everything goes well for them.
