If that happens, I’d say Klay might be a bit overrated, and it’s really the coaching staff that’s been developing players into superstars rather than them just being naturally gifted. Klay is already good even before he was picked on GSW especially his 3 points accuracy since he was on par with Curry during their prime. Coaching staff just made him much better because he learn how to pick and roll, attack the rim and other skills which he can’t developed on his own.

But the natural is already there because it’s very hard to become a sharp shooter when you are already on a team while that’s not your original roll. He was assigned to be attacker on the perimeter because he was good at it the moment he was drafted.

Players like Keyonte George, Lauri Markkanen and Johnny Juzang are very effective on offense. The San Antonio Spurs, on the other hand, have a disorganized performance. After losing to the Thunder, they won against the Magic, but they haven't had a consistent performance.

The Utah Jazz will take the court with the confidence of having made three out of three in the preseason. Their performance so far has been very balanced both offensively and defensively. The San Antonio Spurs, on the other hand, are shaping their roster through trial and error, giving young players a chance. However, the San Antonio Spurs defensive weaknesses will be a disadvantage against a team with a fast paced offense and a high shooting percentage like the Utah Jazz.

Lauri Markkanen is really something. I have been vouching for this guy from Day 1 and I thought many teams would be interested in him like the Lakers. But there is no future with the Jazz. When did we last see the Jazz in the playoffs? Deron Williams? Karl Malone? Stockton? I know the Jazz is trying to make him the face of their franchise but they will not spend too much to surround him with great players. Clarkson is good but it doesn't work two way, they need more especially their bench.

Well, I bet Lauri would disagree with you. He wanted to stay with the Jazz because he feels good in Salt Lake City. Obviously he had many offers but he told his agent that Utah is the place he wants to stay and play for, simple as that. Also he can't be traded until the 25/26 season now so he will definitely stick around.
Sure the teams doesn't look like much and most likely will end up in the bottom of the standings yet again, next year's draft class though is stacked with talent so a losing season might not be the worst thing that could happen to a team like Utah.

I agree to that view, he got the potential as the agent who seen him playing before his debut inside NBA knew that he can fit to that position and it's true that it's the role of the coaching staff to develop that potential, the skills that he got just needed to be use, and that's how GSW management and coach help him.

Whatever team he play that talent will always be there with him, quality minutes and good discipline to continue improving his skills.

I think Seattle could return. I have no idea which team it could be. But it would be nice to see new teams join the NBA.

I wouldn't put too much stock on winning games in the preseason.  Coaches are working on different rotations and different offensive and defensive schemes.  Some teams play theor starters some don't.  Not saying they don't look good it's just they aremt going to really be contending once the season starts.  They are too many pieces away at this point to hang with the teams like Denver, okc, Timberwolves etc.

We saw them being on the top when they have Mitchell and Gobert on the team, but they just got eliminated in the playoffs.
They're still one of the teams right now in the NBA that still don't have an NBA title at all.

Markkanen improved ever since he's still on Chicago, and got better when he went to Utah. He's an all-star player, and I'm surprised as well as to why he got an extension knowing that many teams really wanted him including Golden State. Like you though, I don't see any future with the Jazz right now. Well, Danny Ainge has lots of future draft picks so I wonder how many years will the rebuilding process  take. Unlike you though, I dind't became a fan of Utah ever since, but they're strong when they got the players that you shared. Their strongest roster was when they got Stockton and Malone back in the days, but still can't get a title which is unfortunatel.

If he continue playing like this then Warriors got a replacement for that spot, we know the system there's always Steph and Klay now it can be Hield to take that shot if the rotation of the ball went to his hands, it's a great sign that they might have a decent chance for this season's campaign.

In fairness with Wemby, he added some thickness for this year and that means progress to him. He's still got a lot of years to the NBA and he's now the front runner of Spurs, we just have to hope that he won't have any critical injury.

Yes, if he continue improving without any major injuries he got a long way to go, knowing coach Pop and Spurs managements, they are just observing and surely they will bring Wemby that aid he needs.

He’s shown that he clearly wants to stay, but this is business—he’s not in control of his future, the team is. He was traded from the Warriors to the Knicks, and then moved to the Wolves. I see him more as a role player, and honestly, he should be happy that teams are still interested in getting him. All the decisions are strategic, and even Randle got traded despite contributing more before his injury. He just needs to calm down, and if he wants real revenge, he should help the Wolves make it to the NBA Finals—who knows, maybe they’ll face the Knicks!

This seriously looks concerning in my opinion. I mean Thompson becomes injury prone after that major injury he had. Now, both Thompson and Irving are injury prone. Both of them might not be able to play as much games in the regular season like they used to. They can't win anything if they can't be healthy most of the time. Luka, can't do it alone though. Looking forward for Lively or Gafford step up big time for the Mavs this season. These 2 big men looks promising to me.

Unlike Kyrie Irving, who seems to get injured unexpectedly. If this big 3 can work well together, it should take some of the pressure off, which could help minimize the injury risks for these players.

I don't know why Rick Brunson is having a beef with DiVincenzo but I bet Donte has received a message that Rick was part of the reason why he was traded, just my guess. But Donte needs to move on, I know he likes playing with the Villanova brothers but he is on a better team now and he must show it to them and silence them all.
Tell the Knicks they made a mistake through his actions and success. I am betting for the Timberwolves to win this year and I bet he will be a big part of that when they make it to the top.

Yeah, there will be some adjustments but it looks like Wemby's buff really is going to scare away the defense of their opposing team. And I can't wait to see the development on this kid and if he's more buffed soon, he'd go crazy and unstoppable. But this is still a team game so, that's just an individual expectation for him.

I thinks it's pretty safe to assume that the 2 cities will be Seattle. We had this conversation before and in every single report I have ever seen about the expansion it was always Vegas and Seatlle. Both have the infra structure and the fan base. Sure LV not really but they have a high volume of tourists and many of them want to be entertained while staying in LV, so a sports event is always a great option.

Also, I have never heard about cities like Louisville, SJ, Austin or KC being in the conversation. Austin for example doesn't make sense at all since there are already 3 teams from Texas. San Jose is the the same situation, already plenty (4) of Californian teams in the league already and SJ is way to close to SF.
The other cities are more NFL or NCAA markets, not so big on basketball, especially Kansas City.
And about Canada, this already failed once in Vancouver, why try again?

Only thing I might understand is Mexico City, even though travel is an issue here. But they mentioned Mexico often in the past when they were talking about expenasion, especially internationally.

As players get older, their risk of injury increases, and since we have seen a few injuries in the past years, it is quite normal that we are worried about them. It is not a big deal that minor injuries occur during the regular season, but injuries that will also affect the playoffs will completely end the teams' championship claims. That's why every player must pay close attention to himself and reduce the chances of injury by training a lot

I finished watching the NBA documentary on Netflix - Starting Five. It made me miss Winning Time a bit, which was the best NBA show I ever saw until it was cancelled. I’m still glad I saw it though. Everyone’s heads are exactly where I thought they’d be. Anthony Edwards seems ready to take over his role as the best player in the NBA. I’m ready for the season to start.

I'm not surprised that no one is talking about Rookie of the Year this season in this thread. lol Is this because Bronny James was drafted? Yes. Not gonna lie, it seems like all the media attention is on Bronny James and other top 5 picks arent being recognized because of him. Bronny James being LeBrons son, gets a lot of attention, which might be why there hasnt been much focus on other rookies who could be candidates for Rookie of the Year. His hype could be drawing attention away from rookies performances. lol
