So, the Warriors finally made a move and signed the 39yr old Horford to a multi-year deal. It’s better than nothing, but their lack of urgency in getting better options isn’t a good look. I feel like the Warriors are still too confident in their small ball lineup even now. As a Warriors fan, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. While other teams are strengthening their rosters, the Warriors seem unwilling to make a move, even when there’s a chance to get a decent center or rebounder. Look, even Butler can’t help but question the Warriors’ front office.
Finally? We have heard that news from months ago, and there were even rumors that they might not get him as there are history about Butler and Butler, (but not sure if this is true because I haven't seen it before). But in any case, it's good to see that the veteran Horford has a new home, he has been a true Celtic before, but I guess the Celtics is slowly moving to a new direction with regards to him. The same with the Warriors when they let go of their homegrown and crowd favorite Kevon Looney.

Who would've thought that these 2 who taunted each other during the Eastern Conference finals are now teammates on a different team already? Kind of funny at least for me, but... it is what it is. I'm also a bit disappointed with the recent moves of the Warriors... or did they have moves during the off-season? Wait they didn't have any until this time. Anyway, they made some moves, but their roster still isn't enough to compete in a stacked Western Conference. Like what I said in the past, they're becoming more of a Brooklyn Nets 2.0 where they got Pierce, Garnett, and Johnson as their key players. The roster of the Warriors are very old if you will ask me especially their key players. Butler, Curry and Green are nearing on their post-prime career already. For me, they just did a desperation moves with signing of Horford. I guess what's good is that, they re-signed GP2 and De'Anthony Melton, but still, this isn't enough for them to compete. TBH, I'm still curious why they picked Horford over Kevon Looney. :X

This is surprising, but it’s not like it only happens now. IIRC, back then Kobe and Artest (Metta World Peace, now Metta Sandiford-Artest) hated each other on the court, but later they became teammates and even won a championship together. So maybe this is also a sign that the Warriors could win another championship. I don’t really expect much from Horford since he’s not young anymore, but his experience and aggressiveness on the court could still bring a spark of energy to the team.

Or the infamous Kobe Bryant - Matt Barnes. If I'm not mistaken, after that incident, Kobe recruited Barnes to play with the Lakers. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZCcsULQab84So there's no finality in the NBA, there could be players that hate each other but then become team mates due to circumstances that even they have control, they can't do anything about it. And as pro maybe when they see each other in the same uniform then they will just shrug and have a laugh.

I almost forgot about Kobe not even blinking when Matt Barnes faked throwing the ball in his face. For me, this is really just all about business, at the end of the day their goal is to win a championship. If a player can help with that, then it makes sense. In Artest’s case, he really did with his energy. I still remember how he hit Harden so hard, and it seems like he is not aware of what he did.

Totally funny! They've bantered to each other and then now, the Golden State Warriors have acquired both of them. I think that there's something good about this and they're going to help each other for Al to get his 2nd title and Jimmy to get his first whilst for Steph, to get his next multiples. The NBA is truly full of surprises and we'll never know who's going to get traded and will be the next one. I wish to see them do that sign at the same time in an important game maybe in the playoffs or semis or finals.

Sure, Horford can still ball but honestly, what does signing him bring to the team? Also, they are giving him a multi year deal as well, how crazy is that?? I looked everywhere but can't find what they are actually paying him for this contract. Does anybody know? He still has some production (averaging 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists in 28min last season) so I doubt he will take the vet minimum, right?

Let’s just watch how he performs, especially in the playoffs since that’s when he usually shows his best. The Warriors wouldn’t sign him if they didn’t see that he could help the team. So maybe set aside the trash talk with Jimmy and just look at how they can actually be good teammates. Hopefully this season the Warriors are a better team, and let’s hope Curry doesn’t get injured again, that’s really the team’s biggest nightmare if it happens.

It's not a sign of desperation but they just want him to be with them. We'd see another dub nations new look and so, this multiple year of Al means that he's not yet retiring.

We never what he can bring till we see him playing with the team, though he's not getting any younger but that same type of sytem where he can also shot outside, that's something GSW may need in case that Curry or Butler needs to pass the ball and let someone to deliver, hope he fits for that position just like what he bring before when he's still playing for the Celtics. Just like what you said, now that him and Jimmy will going to play alongside each other fans will expect knowing how the dubnation embrace and support their players.

I've just seen this on the X page of LA Clippers and Kawhi is on the list which means that he's not yet traded or we don't know what actually is happening or if he's going to stay there. Although this is just a camp, the trade deadline is until February 6 based on NBA's website, correct me if I'm wrong with that and there are still a lot that can happen with Kawhi and the LA Clippers, right?

That roster doesn’t look like a playoff team to me… We’ll see I guess. I don’t think Kawhi moving teams is a certainty. Nobody else probably wants the headache. It won’t be long now before he’s on the court. With only 3 weeks left until the season starts, it is time to get excited. I can’t wait.

Yeah until now this team doesn't look very exciting. The only thing that sticks out is the age. They are the oldest team in the NBA at the moment and I don't think this will help them in anyway. Some vets in the team is good but when over 50% are vets, that's not a good sign. Sure, they can still surprise maybe but I don't see it coming. Well, I don't like the Clippers anyway, they have 2 players I kinda hate ( like Chris Pau, Kawhi ) so seeing them lose will be a pleasure for me.

But Artest give it back to Harden when he was not yet the Beard. As for the Clippers, yeah, it seems that in paper they are good, they have CP3 but I don't think that it will be enough though. And to be honest, why they keep or making the same mistakes of getting this kind of players? They are turning into Warriors 2.0 with old players, but at least the Warriors established their dynasty already that's why it's hard to question them.

They always look good but still end up being underestimated. Even on their last championship run, people counted them out. you can check the NBA futures odds before that season started. The current roster now is definitely an upgrade. They’ve got Jimmy Butler, who can really be consistent. The talent isn’t in question, and the system works too. The only major problem is injuries, and we all know both Butler and Curry aren’t immune to that.

Chris Paul is buying a women’s soccer team. That is a pretty impressive financial move and a bit of a gamble but if he wants to get into women’s soccer in his golden years more power to him. As a business man, it is pretty impressive that he is able to invest potentially hundreds of millions of dollars in something like that.

Clippers get bunch of age players on their team and I think that is not actually helping their campaign if they aim to win a championship. Maybe they should look at OKC they have young talents which can possibly produce them more championships. Its seems that they are just wasting their resources for paying huge for those injury prone stars. Maybe they should stop looking basketball in traditional way and better find those young reliable players if they really want to win a championship.

Maybe they should stop looking basketball in traditional way and better find those young reliable players if they really want to win a championship. It's the chemistry of the players I guess, there are super teams in the past that really didn't to good, like the recent Nets with Durant, Harden and Kyrie. But there are teams that really just have one good player and become a champion and this seems to be the recurring team, Giannis with the Bucks, Jokic with the Nuggets and the SGA with the OKC Thunder. Maybe this is the new norm now as we moving from the 3 or 4 players. And it just obviously shows that this is a team sport no matter what. And with the line up of Clippers, we don't know who will lead them as they have Harden and Kawhi and then a lot of players that we don't know if they are going to fit their roles in the rotation. So let's see with this lineup with CP3 back with them. Him and Harden has also a history in the Houston Rockets.
