The problem is that a lot of his fans went out and paid crazy prices for the Lakers last home game of the season thinking it would be his retirement game. It’s obviously not about retirement, but people still fall for it. Like they say, there’s no deceiver if there’s no one to be deceived. Even if LeBron James does this again, there will still be fans who fall for it. He’s still averaging 20+ points, so I don’t see LeBron announcing his retirement yet, maybe after he gets his 5th ring, just a thought. Like I’ve said, he’s a business minded person. He’ll keep playing as long as there’s a team willing to pay him a decent amount, unless he gets that 5th ring.

Well there are still fans not sure what's the percentages but still have someone who wanted to see him stay, though like what you just mentioned fans who saw that interview expect something but it didn't work the way they anticipate. Let see if what would be the after effect in the long run.

Unless he announces it before the season there is 0 chance he will retire after this one. We all know him and his ego, he wants the full retirement farewell in every arena he visits. Until he announces that this will be his last season the tour and attention he is seeking so desperately won't happen. So that's an easy giveaway that he will play at least 2 more seasons.

By the way, his 2nd son Bryce just started his freshman year at Arizona. He he goes and 1 and done route as well LBJ can get yet another "accomplishment" being the only active player together with not only 1 but 2 sons in the league.

I will take a prediction long shot here and will say he will either talk about purchasing a team or even create a league (talked about that before). True, but he is on a Hollywood team, and so with that, he wanted to make his decision very controversial so that everyone will watch and pull some good numbers whoever his sponsorship is. Its a marketing strategy, they generate money for what they are doing, so no matter what we say or do, is not a problem to them, but to us being stress and hate LeBron, social media have break or destroy a athletes career over the years, maybe we should not hate players because we don't like them, everyone love the sports, but because of the person we don't we criticize them, for me I'll enjoy the game while being happy also, with what they have achieve Jordan, LeBron or anyone, even if we hated someone we are just going to stress ourselves.

It's clear that he is not going to retire yet, I mean we have seen him play before and we can easily say that we are not going to end up with bad results, it should not be happening just yet. Yeah that's why his last false retirement announcement draw lots of attention.

Cavs show an interest to get Lebron but they can't afford to trade some young assets on their team and their condition asked is LBJ should be buy out on Lakers then he would sign less contract on their team.

If Lebron agree to this then this is somehow win for LBJ since they can sell that story about a kid from Akron creates an history and will have a great retirement on his home team. But also Cavs would also win a lot on this since they can boost up their ticket sales, also their fan base would grow up for more since LBJ is well known figure in NBA.
