I will probably looking further into some logged price execution issues as well.  I will likely be asking for users with this issue to tell me exactly what they are owed and the Bitcoin address to send the funds to.


How do we determine exactly what we are owed?  Does the price lock in when we execute the order, or when ZipZap processes the order, or some other time?

If you had us execute the BTC order then give me the BTC price at the time of your order.  Figure out what you received and do the math to tell us what we owe you.  Obviously the more info you can provide us with the better.  Smiley

My order time was Friday 4/12/2013 at 1:35 Eastern Standard Time.  This corresponds with a MtGox time of 15:35.  This screenshot shows the MtGox prices for that hour.

If there is a way to figure out the exact time, then hopefully someone lets us know and I will find that out.  Otherwise, it seems the most fair to simply use the average of the high and low which is $71.75/BTC.

I bought $476.257605 USD worth of BTC which, divided by 71.75, means I should receive 6.63773666 BTC.  I was only given 3.70151298 BTC so I am due 6.63773666-3.70151298 = 2.93622367 BTC

Folks, I have received my deposit to Gox, after about 17 days. However, it's only been about 3 days since I logged my complaint here. . Ursay I want to thank you for sticking to your word. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little disappointed that I still got charged bitinstant fees... and that on top of that I have to pay $100 per btc instead of the $85 it would have been if my deposit had been processed correctly. But, somehow I feel like I won today, and I suppose that's worth something. Thanks.

Oh , got ya. Well, at the time of my deposit on March 28 btc was apx. $85, and today was bought at $95.90. I saw it posted here that Bitinstant would be honoring the BTc value at that time of their failed deposits. But how do you do that if the BTC was purchased from GOX and BI isn't actually supplying me with the BTC? Honestly, I'd just be happy if Bitinstant would reimburse me for it's transaction fees at least. I mean, I don't wanna sound like too much of a bitch , but putting me through what BI just put me through for 2 weeks, costing me $ in BTC value, and then charging me apx. $25 for its service just feels a bit like a slap in the face to me.

The coupon was not necessary in the transaction, it was supposed to be a direct deposit. The coupon was just in the API response.

Like 30 pages back I accidentally pasted my whole email in, instead of just the 3 ID's. The coupon wasn't supposed to be used though and i tried it and it never worked. So idk.

I'm about to do another bitintstant deposit, I'm not sure why I trust you with my money but I need to buy BTC. If I want to transfer to mt gox do i use my account number with the M or exchange account?

That is probably because their max is $500 for legal reasons.  Good luck I am sure it will get held up for a while. I am not sure why they let people enter amounts greater than $500 when that is there limit and they know it wont go thru.  You think they would not want to add to the amount of customer issues Huh?
